Pikes Peak Area (CO) Map

Easy hike with a lot of stairs. Good for kids, but you may need to carry them some if they’re young. Great views from multiple points along the hike.

Beautiful trail in all respects. Well worn and well travelled trail along the creek to the first falls. No trash! Nice to run trails with no litter and no graffiti :) It is off limits because the property owner (Cave of the Winds) does not want to be responsible if you or I twist an ankle or something similar in our overly litigious world. If you hike or run trails you should take responsibility for yourself and your actions :) Great run but not to be taken lightly in flash flood season. Parked down in town at free lot and ran up. Have fun!

Climbed on March 11th, 2018. Took me about 6 hours to get to the top after stopping periodically for the view and lunch. Climb was fairly easy until around 11,500 ft, then the elevation started to slow me down. Not much snow on the bottom but by the time we reached the top it was 3' in some spots. Close to the top you can only identify the trail by prints in the snow. Views were fantastic and photo ops were abundant. Crowded at the top by people who drove up (Road closes at 3pm for the way up, 4pm on the way down).

It was definitely a lot of a fun, and I'm sure I'll do it again.

Frozen falls were beautiful. Be very careful on the icy death traps coming up on the side of Catamount Falls. Very slippery spots throughout the trail, recommending microspikes.

It was a very pretty and short hike. Lots of places to take pretty photos

Awesome day! Didn’t make it to heart lake because deep, soft snow led to postholing. Perhaps if we got an earlier start the snow would’ve been a bit better.. Decided to call it a day and turn around. Packed snow for the majority of the trail - micro spikes came in handy! All around great hike - will be back.

This is always our first stop when we are in town. Great easy hike.

Beautiful trial along the creek side. The end gets a bit more difficult with rock scrambling but worth it! Trail was pretty iced over but still passable. Very enjoyable with the dogs!

Awesome hike ! Make sure you check in at Barr Camp to see about the weather on the summit. The first time I attempted the winds were 60mph so the roads and train were closed. Decided it wasn’t safe to keep going. Came back a second time , no regrets.

One of the best local hikes in the springs! Good little workout at the end for the final summit push. Excellent views over North Cheyenne Canon.

No signage to this trail. Totally missed where it started and went up to St. Mary's falls instead. Still a great hike but man, why don't these parks make it clear where the trail heads are??

Beautiful short hike....falls are the perfect place for a picnic..

Such a fun hike, and my dog loves it as much as I do. The creek and bridges make it more interesting. It is beautiful and not too difficult.

Nice hike. Mount Cutler was easy so we came back to try Mount Muscoco. We had some snow recently so it made for a challenging climb and slide coming down. Breathtaking view from the top. Near the top became harder and keep an eye on not wandering off the trail.

lots of stairs but great views of the falls. Easy trail for families

great trail for beginners or families. branches off into other trails after the bridges.

Hiked on 12/20. Amazing hike up North Cheyenne Canon with a few friends and dogs. Moderate hike. The numerous stream crossings were really cool. Skirted up the side of Keneo after the last bridge for a fantastic view out over the canyon. Thought about continuing up Mt. Keneo proper, but the altitude was starting to get to this Jersey boy

This was my first 14er a few years ago and I love going back. Absolutely wonderful! Why drive to the top when you can hike it??? The views certainly make up for the painful switchbacks towards the top. Loved it. ❤

Make sure to park along perimeter of parking lot and not in center aisle or risk getting boxed in like we did today. This is beautiful hike and won’t stop hiking here because of the inconsiderate but won’t go on weekend when parking gets crazy.

I’m looking forward to going back in the summertime. There was a moderate amount of snow on the trail, and some spots were very icy. Definitely needed the shoe spikes. The seven bridges portion was fairly easy— it got significantly more difficult after the seventh bridge. The trail was much steeper and some portions were loose gravel. Had a great time regardless!

Moderately difficult trail. Great for working on getting active and in shape. Great views along the way. Most people I passed were friendly. But a few peeps had their unruly dogs off leash, and some pet owners didn’t clean up after their pets. Tons of piles of dog crap near the parking area, making it smell terrible.

Finally some snow on the mountain, great hike awesome views. Threw my crampons on towards the end because I was slipping on the steeper parts.

Super short hike! It’s worth it though to do it. It can be pretty busy on a nice day so make sure to go early. There’s also other trails right near by

Starts and ends on a road, but still beautiful. I started at 9:30, parked at the bottom of the hill per previous reviews and there was ample parking available. Steady climb up, well marked. Once the road ends and you hit the trail, the initial climb is super dicey because of ice. It’s clear after that though. (I’m sure the snow coming in tonight will change all of this). About 2/3 - 3/4 of the way up, there’s a giant tree down on top of the trail, so it looks like it abruptly ends. Apologies to those I passed that I forgot to inform!

Pretty easy hike as you are mostly in the shade. We messed up and turned around right after the 7th bridge... will go back to see that final view! Most of the dogs we saw were off leash.. and lots of dog poop not picked up. Pretty disappointing to see this.. come on people!

Super easy hike. Lots of stairs, we came in January & the water fall was frozen. Looks like this hike would be better for the summer!

Beautiful and a rewarding hike. Similar to the Mount Cutler hike where it's a smooth ascent for like 80% of it until you get closer to the top and you're suddenly scrambling up rocks to the summit.

great view of the falls.

Hiked today with husband 4 mikes up gave my lungs a workout

This was do-able for my husband and I and our 2 year son. We had a fairly easy hike up with him in a hiking kids backpack. Once we reached the top we let him run around and climb up little hill with small rocks. Coming down was a bit slippery so we went really slow. We would do it again!
