It‘ s a nice short but moderate hike. It took me 50 minutes from the parking lot to the cave and this is including stops to take pictures. On the way back I took my time looking for critters and reptiles. Found some scorpions and lizards.
As for the cave I was the first one of the day and I had the cave all for myself. Loved it!!!

Would go 1000 times again. Pretty rocky at the end but worth every second!
Bring water !!!

Great hike! Beautiful views and today’s weather was perfect.

Nice trail, excellent views. Pretty moderate I would say, but there are other trails connecting that provide a decent workout.

Need a red rock pass!!!
Amazing views. Went during the week and had the whole cave to myself. You definitly should bring a hiking stick to assist in the downward decent. Loose gravel is tricky. Took roughly 50 minutes going up. I thought it would be a much faster hike being only 3 miles but the elevation gane is over 3000’. Very dense desert vegetation once you are about halfway up the trail. Very picturesque. Would not recommend for young kids.

Did this with my dog today. Great hike! It gets a bit harder towards the end. All of the previous reviews are quite accurate.

Great views.

This is a nice moderate trail with a bit of an incline. Good for kids who are experienced hikers. Gorgeous views even at the start. We only passed 3 or 4 hikers on the way up. There have been reports of rabid foxes, but we didn't see any wildlife. The trail begins at the north end of the parking area.

First timers be sure to bring AllTrails maps, or GPS, the clockwise direction of the trail leaving the petroglyphs is poorly marked and splintered. Nevertheless, it’s a beautiful hike.

Great trail to hike. My dad and I enjoy going here when we hike since it isn’t too far from where we live. It is fun and was great for my 50 lbs pit bull who has never hiked.

Awesome hike! Everyone is pretty accurate that it is about 45 minutes up and a great sight! It’s amazing how good of a view you can get after just a little bit of hiking!

Go early. Hit the first parking lot. Stay to the left most the trail and through the orange fence. When we came down we probably passed 20+ people going up.

FANTASTIC hike, just when you're starting to get a little tired, you're there, and the playoff is the picture you can take.

Good hike with great views. The Goldmine hill is a little challenging and gets the heart pumping for older hikers. I like to start on this trail and finish on the dynamite trail.

Great hike with good elevation changes

Nice trail easy to follow. No water fall this time:)

Great hike today. Not very busy on the trail, had the wave all to ourselves for the most part.

Gorgeous trail. Fantastic views!!

Fun hike. Moderate to start going clockwise.

This trail is nice, had a section that is moderately difficult for a beginer hiker, but can be done.

Great hike for all levels; beginner through expert.

its great! ive been 4 times

Great time! Weather was beautiful, light traffic hike... Will definitely go back after some rain/snow melt!

What’s not to love about this cave... okay maybe the masses... the place is so busy. Other than that it’s an awesome hike! Beautiful views! Great workout! The breeze! Did I mention the view! We would have loved to get that “wave shot” but there were several people eating lunch on the top which I guess is to be expected on a Saturday in November. One thing I’d recommend is extra water. I typically have leftover water when I hike and I carry a 32 oz canister but I ran out on this trail and felt super dry. I don’t know how all these people do this hike with small 12-16 oz bottles of water?!? Also make sure you have shoes with a good grip to rock. I saw several people slide because they were wearing basic tennis shoes. My Merrill’s gripped the rock perfectly! There are some places to take a break in the shade and rest against the cool rock. Awesome afternoon!

trail not marked very well.

Did this hike in February. Not too many people out on the trail, which was nice. Make sure you go through the gate and bring a lot of water; we came across a family that didn’t have enough while on the trail.

First of all, be advised that this trail is not actually within the Lost Dutchman Park. You need to thrive about a quarter mile past Lost Dutchman, turn right, and drive about half a mile down the dirt road. You will see a parking lot with signs for this and one other trail.

This trail is absolutely gorgeous! Amazing views. I would rate it on the easy side of moderate, although there are some rather steep areas.

Easy trail, beautiful scenery. There was a rabies warning sign at the start of it. Be careful right now, said to have rabid foxes that are attacking hikers.

Great desert hike with a fun destination

A lot of traffic and a lot of kids and dogs, which is cool but kind of annoying.
