Most amazing views in Sedona! Hard hike with many layers to it. Do it! You wont regret it. Bring extra water for dogs and go early because you are exposed the entire time and it warms up quick

This is my favorite hiking trail in the Phoenix area. Very do-able, just takes a while to complete. For me about three hours round trip. I’ve seen young children to elderly people at the top, observing the awesome view of Weavers Needle. Dog friendly, however, my ten month old Lab was a little tired the last mile. We came prepared with food, so with a bite to eat and a break, she was able to finish the hike on her own. Between the two of us I had three liters of water on me. Several shady spots on the path as well. Highly recommend!

Beautiful. The hike out to the first lookout is only 2.2 miles, but it’s easy to keep going and turn back depending on how long you want the hike to be. Clear path and no climbing. There were only a few stretches of steep hiking, but otherwise it was not too strenuous. I would say this is a fairly easy hike, even for beginner hikers!

Loved this hike! Views were stunning along the entire trail! pretty steep incline the whole way up, but the view was totally worth it. We finished the trail in about 4 hours. We are in our early 20's and are experienced hikers.

This was a great *hike* - but I’d actually wanted to trail run. Unfortunately, the terrain was just too rocky to get a good cadence going at any point. Amazing views though, and I’d recommend for hiking.

little challenging towards the top, wasn't really sure where to go and no one around , so didn't continue. Did the circumference trail to add more length.

We went the first part of March and I felt it was a perfect time to go to miss the crowds and heat. I did this hike several years ago in the summer and it was miserable. This time this hike was fantastic! Yes, it had it’s difficult moments but it was beautiful down and back and the falls were worth everything you go through. Great, great hike.

I hiked this trail yesterday and I fell in love with it. The views, the little cave, etc. Magical!

Tough trail, but well worth it! The views are amazing!

fantastic hike, well worth the trek back up. definitely need to make it an overnighter next time, 2 hours exploring just isn't enough!

Difficult but the spectacular views from the top are worth it!

Very hard hike. Bring enough water and don't go when it's hot- I made that mistake

Challenging and beautiful

Pretty accurate distance and vertical! Exactly what I expected from those measurements!

Be prepared, this is a hard hike. Unless you’re very fit, this will take you 6-8 hours. Maybe longer. It’s very hot with only the last 3/4 mike with much shade. As someone who loves hiking 14ers in Colorado during the summer, I’ll say the difficulty is pretty comparable to some of the “easier” ones. Great training. Don’t be unprepared!

Kicks your butt!! but so worth it!

Difficult, but the view at the top is totally worth every single switchback!

Great trail. Spectacular views. Only went up to the view at a little after 3 miles. Will be back soon to try to go all the way! Pretty rocky and tough on the way up. Coming down is a little hard on the feet and knees, totally worth it though!

Loved it. Great hike!

One of my favorite hikes in Arizona. I've done this as a day hike and a weekend camping trip. It's worth spending the night at the bottom. Hiking down, swimming for a couple hours and then hiking out can be exhausting, but it's doable. Bring lots of water, or plan on collecting water at the bottom. The hike out is hot. Be courteous and remember fires are not allowed, I was disappointing to see a scout troop having a fire down there. Fires disrupt camp sites, and often turn into dump sites for trash. This trail gets a lot of traffic, and camp sites are dispersed at a premium, so hike during the week or on Friday to get a good spot. Good spot location of those who hammock camp. I will be doing that next time.

Great Hike today!!! Loved the rocky incline workout and beautiful scenery, breathtaking!!!

Loved it! 4.2 miles down to the falls which were amazing. Hiked it on Feb 13th and didn’t see one person. Beautiful hike but the hike back up was a challenge took about an hour and a half. Well worth it!

Make sure you don't lose the trail. Crosses a gulley about a half mile in. I spent two hours bouldering down there before getting back on the trail. Amazing views around sunset.

Good trail. take the circumference then summit for a better workout. for those seeking more difficulty, on the southwest end there are old trails that require some hand usage and has a lot of loose or slick rocks.

Hiking down to the falls you can easily see what all the hype is about. We saw only one other party that day on the way out, so we were fortunate to have the place to ourselves. In the summertime this hike is restricted to a permit for parking your car. Do your research before showing up. There were signs in multiple places how 200 people need medical and rescue every year coming back up trail. Personally I think you have to be very out of shape to not complete this hike.

Hiked down and through to other side. Easily worth the park entrance fee. Amazing. Rocks are wet, don’t be the idiots we saw wearing flip flops and tennis shoes if you want to pass through.

Probably one of the best trails/views in the area. Mostly because very few people actually hike to the top, so you'll have a little peace and quiet after the first mile or so which is a rarity in Sedona.

We hiked 6.75 miles. Very scenic and the trail was nicely groomed. Not crazy about the 8 mile drive on dirt roads but definitely worth it.

Love this long hike.

Great hike. Waterfall area is in 3.2 miles. No water running when we were there. Constant uphill from the trailhead. Most is easy and gradual, little steeper through the switchbacks. 2 more miles and you're at the end. First 3.2 miles is a 1,700ft elevation gain. Last 2 miles is only another 400ft. Total 10.2 out and back.
