Great afternoon hike for the family.

Great trail. Lots of elevation change so be prepared. There’s a geocaching place a bit off the trail. I recommend taking your time to explore and climb rocks around the trail, especially the natural bridge! Very fun and several scene changes from rocks to woods which kept things interesting. Well marked and I appreciate the mile and half mile signs.

Nice scenic short hike

Short easy, enjoy the petroglyphs

Enjoyed the hike, packed a lunch and ate at the Grotto.

We loved this trail! We went in the winter so we had the whole trail to ourselves and the waterfall was beautiful! You hike down to the waterfall, so the most strenuous part is the hike back. We will definitely go again!

Pretty hike and well marked. The natural bridge was beautiful and the grotto was worth the extra half mile there and back. All in all I would say it’s worth spending a few hours there! There are a lot of stream crossings so be prepared for that. My only ONLY complaint is how everyone pronounces the name!! For those thinking it pronounced like the French, you would be wrong! Even though it’s named after a French women and the nick name is French, everyone says “petty jeen” what the heck?! :)

Beautiful falls but a lot of people after the rains.

One of the very best hikes in central Arkansas. With a natural bridge, grotto and waterfall, and beautiful hardwood forest with rock bluffs and small caves!

We hiked after a rain so it was a little more challenging but the beauty surpasses the challenges! So worth it!

love this trail

its pretty cool standing between gigantic sandstone boulders!

short and sweet trail!

In my opinion, this is the best one night loop trail in Arkansas. Big views, great campsites, water features, light traffic. I would warn any prospective hikers that there are no blazes on the trail. If you aren't a competent navigator, you will struggle. Also, getting to Katy Falls is challenging if you don't want to get wet. It's approximately 0.25 miles off trail, up Katy Creek.

The “Eye of the Needle” is marvelous! Those gigantic rocks are just amazing!

Watch for the pictographs, theres a couple we saw. Tip: and they can be appreciated more in a photograph.

Treacherous, challenging esp after a rain but the destination was worth it! Dont forget to hike all the way to “behind” the waterfalls

Love this trail....been going to it since I was a kid it’s always beautiful no matter what time of the year

I did this trail on 1/26-1/27 and at the first switchback on the map the trail disappears. I don’t know if it’s the season and the leaves, limbs, etc had covered the trail but I stayed on the map trail 5 miles in and never saw a sign of a path. Finally set up camp at the nearest stream because water is scarce. Very rocky and slick (rained during the evening and throughout the night) with briars all over the mountain. Anyway, I don’t recommend this trail during the winter months due to path visibility.

The waterfall was worth it. Along with a 4 year old.

Very beautiful. A lot of places where you will need to slide down some rocks to get to the trail. Must see the Grotto!

Hiked this for Thanksgiving. Most of the leaves had turned, but still some good leaf color on the trail. Lots to see, very diverse landscape.

Easy trail. The rocks are an amazing sight.
