Took North and South scenic trails, which are more difficult and have a lot of sun exposure. The AT sections were easier and had coverage. Great loop. Wear sunscreen and a hat!

Great hike! Steep and rocky and beautiful plus a few trees down that you climb over. Took the yellow trail to the tracks and the blue trail back. Somewhere on the way back you should cross the creek back to the yellow blazes to get to the parking lot.

Awesome trail. Great if your looking for a long hike! Thankfully we started early, got very crowded as we made our way back to the bottom.

One of the most beautiful and peaceful hikes I have been on. Definitely go left! Loved hiking along the water and all the water crossings. We will definitely do this hike again!

Great varied trail with moderate hike and plenty to see. I did not take the trail to the left as suggested first. The trail to the right is a short hike down to the creek, crossing over the creek several times before coming to what looks like an abandoned road. Once you get to the top, the trail varies between wooded and grassy areas before getting back to the lot. Great day hike, beautiful scenery, and not overwhelming. It is a moderate hike and I wouldn't suggest bringing your pet unless they are used to a rugged terrain.

I am used to hiking the NY Adirondack mountains. This was not as challenging but nice start to my hiking year. Nice views. We opted to help me up the gravel road and down the white blaze trail back. I would do this route again to avoid the pounding pavement on my knees on the way down or I would go up and down the same path through the white blazes. Great hike for dogs as not alot of challenging obstacles. Would be a great hike for younger kids as well.

Fantastic little trail. Definitely go left at the beginning so you come up the little gorge instead of down it.

I did this in the winter and it was gorgeous!

Most beautiful & most difficult trail in the area. Love this hike!!

Very excellent hike. Going to the right on the way up was the way to go. Definitely check out the spillway on the way down. It's to the right, and a little off the trail, but worth the jaunt. I loved that there was still snow on the ground and you could see through the trees. It is about an hour drive from where I live, and I love to drive, so it was the perfect trip. I will definitely be going back to check out the colors of Autumn.

this makes for a day of outdoor fun and a stop to Cabelas! Very rocky but very beautiful views. I always find that rhere are too many people at the view but atleast it is big enough. Cool to watch birds from here or see the foliage. Watch out for snakes!!

love this hike but watch out for snakes. I always see atleast one while at the view!!!

Tried this trail for the first time today and I loooved it! I definitely think the rating of moderate is appropriate. I would recommend starting on the left side as you really do get the more lackluster part of the trail out of the way. You’ll know when you find that magical part for sure! Definitely some tricky rocks and water crossings. I brought my dog but he became nervous about some of the climbs/crossings and I had to assist him. Overall I really enjoyed this hike and can’t wait to return!

Excellent trail. Varied terrain. Ill be back!

It was tough to do and an awesome challenge. But take the “scenic route” that is an off shoot of it. It adds a little bit of distance but walks along the open side of the mountain.

The reservoir is a beautiful spot. Great wide open camping area.

Great trail, very challenging at times, watch out for the rattle snakes

Absolutely love this trail for the summer, the waters cold but worth the swim!

Great views, snow was fun and ended up getting socked with rain but still had fun with dog. took us 3.5 hours

Beautiful and challenging. Look for the Orange Trail near the convergence at the Conestoga that leads to The Pinnacle!

Came here on a slightly rainy and foggy day. First time in the trail. We did two miles between routes 501 and 322, past Eagle Rock. The trail was very well marked but pretty rocky at times. Small waterfalls along the way.

Great trail. Well marked and maintained.

Lovely trail! So many different birds, well marked, a few icy spots but not impassable. Started off to the left as recommended, I agree that’s the better way to start. Going that direction, the first couple miles are pretty easy, can do in casual shoes. Once you turn left and head away from the river at the old bridge, trail gets more technical and I was glad to be in my boots.

Loved this trail! There was several points with some breath taking views. It involved a lot of moving around rocks and some climbing which I liked. Absolutely beautiful!

I have now camped on the AT sites twice now (Fall and Winter) and the trail, site, and scenery are all great. The reservoir is a unique and fantastic place to be in all 4 seasons.

The hike to the tracks is one of my favorite places anywhere around. Also a good fishing spot

Amazing views.. heard a bear growl after pulpit rock which was scary.. long hike but well worth it.
