Awesome views, clear path, not a long hike but you will break a sweat.

Yes, definitely a up hill work out for the first 2 miles or so, but the views are definitely worth it. A little icy towards the top, and a few downed trees that need to be removed from trail.

We are visiting from Missouri staying here for the week. This was the first trail we did. It was a beautiful morning hike up the Appalachian Trail through the snow. Loved it! Great views, forest and rock outcroppings are amazing, air clear and crisp! Came back down the fire road.

the 'upper' South trail is well cropped providing a large path, while the 'lower' South trail is not. i pulled about 20-30 ticks off of my pants today. not exaggerating either. ugh. love the upper trails though, great hiking prep for the AT.

Incline trail with steep sections and mostly rocky. If you have bad knees I wouldn’t recommend it. Great view once you get to the top.

This is a great hike along the Appalachian Trail. Incredible views and a great workout. Check out my full write up that includes directions and things to look out for.

Great trail, very challenging at times, watch out for the rattle snakes

it's a nice hike, first 2 miles give you good work out, great views.

Beautiful hike after an overnight 6 inch snowfall. Great views, tranquil Eureka creek crossing, and beautiful rhododendrons. Moderate hike which took about 3 hours with multiple stops to admire views and take pictures. We took the fire road back due to slippery snow covered rocks.

Great views, snow was fun and ended up getting socked with rain but still had fun with dog. took us 3.5 hours

Great hike, saw a bear

Very pretty overlook. Still very manageable to hike in the snow, but Yaktrax or micro-spikes are a good idea. Will go again!

This is easy training hike for me. I am from car and back under 1 hour. Nice mixed terrain.

Climbed Mt. Minsi yesterday. Great hike with what others have already described as... "...great views of the Delaware River and Mount Tammany!". It'll take around 3 hrs start to finish is definitely icy in spots this time of year.. Easy trail "overall".. Two thumbs up!

Loved this trail! There was several points with some breath taking views. It involved a lot of moving around rocks and some climbing which I liked. Absolutely beautiful!

Amazing views.. heard a bear growl after pulpit rock which was scary.. long hike but well worth it.

Great views. Well worth the hike.

Nice hike along the AT with good views of Mt. Tammany and the Del River Gap. I would make this an out and back, coming back on the AT instead of the Fire road.

Great view at the Pinnacle. Well worth the hike and some real neat ice formations tumbling down the stream from the reservoir at the end. Didn't see a whole lot of wildlife but given the weather conditions and the terrain my head was down most of the time.

Yesterday, I attempted hike up the trail. About 3/4 of the way up I encountered solid block of ice which covered the trail making passage near impossible. I turned around after almost falling off of the mountain. Lol!

First time hiking this trail. Overall great hike. Not a lot of foot traffic and a nice hike. It’s a little icy out there at this time of year, so be sure to wear proper footwear.

Beautiful woods and views of the gap. Good moderate afternoon hike.

Great views! Make sure to do the loop, it’s well worth it. Take a stroll down to blue rocks. It’s a little out of the way but you won’t be disappointed.

At about the 2.5 mile mark there is a clearing with amazing views in both directions. The trail itself was not overly difficult; however, the amount of leaves on some of the steeper grades made for some "fun" descents.

First 2 miles is all uphill! Keep going to get the view. Super quiet on the weekdays.

I love this hike. Especially on the weekdays when no one is around. It's less busy than the Mount Tammany side(and easier)

I think this trail is great! It’s a little tougher than “moderate” imho. But the views are fantastic!

Great trail.... I will warn you though this trail is moderate to an avid hiker. It is definitely very challenging. And we did have to scale rocks to get to the top of the north lookout. We came in the opposite direction however meaning we started with the river of rocks trail and then climbed up the mountain to then climb up to the north lookout. All in all a very good hike.
