I would rate this as moderate simply due to the few inclines and declines and the loose ground. They’re short bursts but enough to take it out of the easy category.

Sadly the trail has been destroyed with dog poop. I was disgusted by the sheer volume of poop we encountered. I was there with my dog and I had to ensure she didn’t stand on any. Ugh, people of California - please TAKE CARE of our coastline trails! 郎

Great views, but be careful with dogs or kids as some sections cut very close to the edge! I

Nice little hike.. good hike to give kids extra experience.

Good views, even through the fog. Nice elevation gain from the parking lot followed by a flat trail. My only complaint is that the trail was pretty overgrown or narrow in some places and LOTS of poison oak. Keep an eye out for it!

From where the directions take you to park, it’s a long, uphill walk on cement past apartments and condos to the actual lake where the trail begins. The trail itself once you get to the lake is pretty and our dog loved it. However, the walk to the trail is as long as the trail itself. All in all, good time but won’t be back.

Def not easy, especially if you have any fear of cliffs and steep inclines near the edge of the Pacific but beautiful and peaceful. Also make sure to google map the parking lot, the directions here will just strand you on 1.

We parked on Ohlone and walked to the start of the trail. Nicely signposted trail with a good mixture of tree covered shade and open areas which was nice on this very hot day.

There is a couple of benches towards the end of the trail that overlook the beach. Very beautiful coastal scenery! Visited 8/5/2018

What a wonderful place. Beautiful views from the cliff top, saw an incredibly elegant Grey Heron that was patient enough to let me take some great photos, some kind of bird of prey hovering literally right at eye level and, if you’re OK with a steep descent, an almost deserted beach to walk. Totally recommended.

Fun hike! It gets steep at one point which makes going down a little difficult but just take your time and use small steps and your hands for support.

Great trail, lots of shade and parking is available. It is a lot of uphill though so I'm not sure it's exactly a beginner hike.

great hike. love the ease of the area. some areas are more moderate but still beautiful. love all the wild life.

Beautiful spot. There is an old rock quarry in the area that has been decommissioned. I have seen many mountain bikers in the area. All in all, a great place to watch wildlife whether that be in the ocean or along the coastal bluffs. Wildflowers are blooming now too.

Do wear your hiking shoes. Most of the trail is loose and dry gravel soil with a few very steep sections. Not recommended during or after a rain. Lots of small branching trails and some are completely encroached by surrounding vegetation making it easy to get lost, but because it's open land, you'll eventually find your way back to the trail.

Amazing views of the pacific. A bit close to the highway but a great way to unwind after work.

Nice trail with shade trees interspersed. Benches begin to appear after about one mile. FYI: You must drive onto private property to find the parking lot and trail head. Popular spot for dog walkers but all we met were friendly with their charges under control.

Great trail for a walk in the woods. Many people bring dogs and some are off-leash so be prepared. There are a lot of birds and in the spring the flowers are beautiful & the water flows in the creek creating a serene oasis.

Great family hike. Very beautiful views.

Great for hiking with kids and grandparents

Beautiful view.

The trails start just up the street from the parking lot to the right and are pretty well marked. There’s effectively no elevation change, and one of the options further from the cliff’s edge is basically a fire road - so it’s an easy stroll. Lovely coastal views abound!

And of course, the beach is nice too, which is accessible from the parking lot.

Very nice view, not so difficult even for casual hiker, but prepare a good hiking shoes for small rocks along the trail, and don’t go in a windy day.

this loop is not an easy one- I would rate this as medium difficulty because the trail leads near the cliffs where it's very steep and unstable. once you get past the cliff area and pass Mori Point, it gets easier from there. overall great views and very windy!!

nice view but be prepared for the super strong wind

Nice hike. A wide, mostly shaded trail that begins with a gentle incline and becomes a bit steeper in the last third before heading back. Great midweek, post-work hike.

Cute, simple hike. Beautiful views! Dog-friendly. I saw a lot of dogs without leashes, but I ALSO saw a garden snake, soooo... I think leashes would be smart if your dog isn't that trained or obedient lol. There was a bunch of ladybugs and dragonflies too! Overall, a fun small hike.

Trail not very well marked. Easy to get confused.

Don’t freak out about going up the road where all the forbidding Air Force signs are :) It’s literally 15 feet, then you’re on the trail off to the right. Decent signage along the way, minimal elevation change, easy and beautiful hike along the cliffs! Not crowded at all on the trail but the parking lot was full because of beach goers.

The first one. Nice view.

A nice and short out & back trail. It gets steeper near the end but is pretty easy overall. Very dog friendly. To get to the parking lot, you have to drive into the parking lot of the Ridgemont complex (it’s the one without a closed gate).
