Get area to run, walk, bike, horseback ride. Well groomed trails and very scenic.

We followed a meandering creek that just took us away...

Pretty in spring. Follows a creek for the first section. It was pretty crowded in the late afternoon, but it was nice to see people out having fun. There are multiple trails that connect with this one, so you can extend your trip if you want. Interesting little building part way in that you can explore.

Muddy this time of year, but a nice trail. Fun little bridges. There are paper maps at the trailhead and I was able to extend this trip quite a bit. There are several trails that connect to this one. Not too crowded. Occasional urban camper; no one bothered me.

Fun first half on the trail, a lot of elevation changes and turns so it doesn’t get boring. Finishing on a fire lane back to the parking lot. Enough elevation changes to get a workout if running.

2 miles loop are good . We have fun today

I loved this trail today. A little muddy in spots but overall very well maintained. The elevation change is no joke and the view from the top is lovely. Trillium was in bloom everywhere which was an added bonus!

Always enjoy this trail. Parking can be tough later in the day. Nice for walking and talking with friends. Beautiful.

Easy with some elevation gain and loss. Lots of trails but trail remains in the same drainage basin so it is pretty hard to stay lost for long.

Great city trail in Portland’s acclaimed Forest Park. The lower trail follows a stream. The upper trail leads to a lovely view of the city and Mt. Hood beyond from the gardens of the elegant Pittock Mansion. Water bowl for doggies and the ticket office for the indoor tour of Pittock.

Easy hike with multiple options for trails. We did about a 2 mike loop.

I haven't hiked the whole 30 miles of it but this is a great trail because there are so many other options to branch off of and cool places to see.

Great trail, I wouldn't go as far to say it's "Moderate". It wasn't a difficult hike. nice scenery and once I got up to council crest for the first time, the views were great I soaked them up for a couple of hours before I decided to hike back down.

Pretty easy hike, great little stream. when you take the turn up to Pittock Mansion be prepared for the incline. I've hiked this trail two times now. The first time I wasn't in the best shape so it was a nice burn. The second time I was in better shape so it wasn't as bad, but I powered up it and was out of breath by the time I got to the top because I was hiking up pretty quickly.

Always a great park for a walk or hike. Parking can get scarce on busy warm weekend days.

Started the Wildwood Trail off of SW Fischer Lane. Also hit the Redwood and Oak trail. Did not go through the whole 27 mile loop of Wildwood but all trails we hit north of the Visitor Center was very enjoyable. Our starting point of the Wildwood was intensely green and vegetated. Oak trail not so much but for a sunny day in Portland, with very limited run ins with other hikers it was an enjoyable outing. Far more of a decent walk than what I would consider a "hike".

I thought this was a great hike! So fun for the puppers and I. Beautiful scenery and very peaceful.

Was a very nice hike. Well maintained trails.

Nice, easy walk with pretty forest views.

Beautiful setting and easy to get to.

The trail itself was ok... nothing to right home about. The view from Council Crest was beautiful, but pretty crowded!

This convenient, but heavily used, trail in the West Hills near downtown Portland leads to the iconic Council Crest Peak. On a clear day there are great views not only of the city, but also Mt. Hood, Mt. Saint Helens and Mt. Adams.

Great stroll in the forest, and located right in the city. There is a creek running through part of it and an old mossy stone building to check out.

If you only have time for one hike in PDX, do Upper Mcleay to Pittock mansion and pack a lunch for when you get to the top.

1st run in a couple years... defiantly a challenge little slick on the back but well worth it..

20 minutes from my front door, great trail for training

Beautiful. Peaceful. Easy directions and signs for all trail options throughout. Also extra cool labels on some trees. Excited to come back and try another trail option.

Lots of fun options to make your own route. 7 miles today.
