HikingGreat!Rocky

The trail was awesome, I’m out of shape and this trail provided the right amount of “challenge”. I will be coming back! However, my friends car on April 11th was broken into and their credit cards were stolen.

Very tall and pretty waterfall. Today it rained/mist and everything was so beautiful. The hike is very easy and the reward is tremendous. Only encountered 2 groups in and 2 groups out. Noone was at waterfall for over 30 minutes.

I love this hike. It is definitely a beginner hike if you start at the parking lot at the top. More of a workout if you start at the bottom and hike your way up. Waterproof shoes is a must due to you will be crossing several small ponds. Very enjoyable overall

My car was broken in this morning. I arrived at 10:30am and parked my car along the road side near the parking lot, locked for sure. When came back from the trail, I found my clothes (with some important stuff) were stolen. The strange thing is that they didn’t even damage my car at all. If you go here for hiking, DO NOT LEAVE ANYTHING IN YOUR CAR.

Sadly, the neighborhood entrance is closed due to Covid. Reservations are required for the main entrance.

Absolutely loved it!! Arrive early parking is limited. very nice hike for beginners. very scenic, with lots of picture opportunities. The water fall was beautiful. People really need to be respectful of others. This couple ruined the beauty and relaxation while at the waterfall. The guy decided to lite up a joint and smoke his weed. Which in fact came across ass very disrespectful to others also trying to enjoy the fall. this location was dog friendly, which was nice. Definitely will return to venture more in the surrounding trails.

Parking at the trail wasn’t too bad. Saturday morning, there was a good amount of people. The trail was well marked. My kids (6 and 9) only made it 1 mile in. Most of the trail was in the sun. We will come back and try again.

Amazing for trail running. Not overly busy, but definitely plenty of people on the trail. Once you get to first water head up the creek a little bit it's rugged going and lots of poison oak but beautiful views and Crystal Clear Water. Very nice Trail lots of beautiful happy people hiking. Great morning!

Beautiful but less water in the creek everyday so get your free Reservation and go. One full car (5) for each reservation. With required permits, it's harder to get access, but trail will be less crowded and very enjoyable. Have a nice picnic at the fall just bring your trash out!

Great trail. It’s open but you need a reservation (it’s free). Full sun the first 1.5 miles then nice streams, lots to look at, and the waterfall at the end. There are rocks to scramble over at some points, but not a lot of elevation climb at all. Enjoyed this, but don’t do mid-day when it’s hot out!

Nice incline for a relatively inactive person. There are some steep slope, the last one before the water is the worst. Hiking stick may help if you don’t have good balance. But overall a nice short hike that ends with water and nice bench/rocks to enjoy the view

Hiking

The trail used to be an easy 3-star, and maybe even a 4-star. But the pond at the end is not even the color blue anymore, it’s literally like yellow. The waterfall is barely even a waterfall anymore. One time, I saw a syringe in the pond. There are babies with their diapers that are put in the pond. I can’t even swim in the pond or go in it after getting sweaty in the hike. Over the last five years, Eaton Canyon has gone down A LOT in standards, let alone the amount of trash on the trail and lack of green during the pathway. SO DRY! The quality of people has also gotten way down, and I have seen a shift of demographics. I’ve seen so many people that litter in front of me. What used to be a place of diversity is now mostly one certain demographic that continues dirty what was once acceptable. These pictures are not accurate of Eaton Canyon really is now. Not a scenic hike by any means! 2/5 rating overall!

Peace and blessings beautiful people! This hike will kick your butt if not prepared! But stay to the left, near the gate to visit waterfall ! It was beautiful! Be mindful of the bikers because they come flying up and down the trail lol . Also waterproof hiking shoes are recommended due to, the different paths of water you have to pass to get to the waterfall! Bring food and water you will definitely need it ! Also stretch lol

Wonderful trail! It's always great to choose to take an easy stroll (path to waterfall) or challenge yourself (up the mountain). Plenty of shade on the trip to the waterfall. Be aware that parking can get bad, early come early or be ready to walk a while.

Perfect. I took my five year old with me and it wasn’t hard at all. Parking was easy to find. I loved how it wasn’t too crowded. Also, there is lots of shade!

Make sure to make reservations before you go. The trail was amazing and great for my two puppies who’ve never been hiking. I know booking reservations to hike is annoying but we had the trail to ourselves for most of the hike.

3.2 miles actually. Trail is NOT overgrown. Lots of shade and water on lower portion. Dog friendly. Not too many bugs. Bathroom at camp. Waterfall was great! Parking not too bad, probably due to holiday.
