it's a magical place , my 4year old loves it ♡ with a Rainbow bridge ♡

Great family hike. My 2 and 5 year old loved all of the little bridges, rainbow bridge especially, and playing near the creek. My daughter declared it her favorite hike yet because "it's the magical forest where all of the fairies live."

We've hiked this trail several times. Nice area. Great for a day hike!

Nice, simple, relaxing walk through the woods to Double Lake. Found it to be well marked and well maintained. Really expected it to be more muddy after all the rain we had yesterday but trail was fine. Wish we had packed a small snack or lunch to enjoy at Double Lake. Next time!

It was not what I expected, but it was good walk. It was very clean, but the trail signs got me a little confused. Good thing is not too big, otherwise I would got "lost". It was a nice day and it has excelent bath services and the playgrounds for the little ones are great.

Great trail, clear of sticks and leaves. Easy to navigate. Some construction on the end of the loop, a little noisy but not a huge deal breaker. Would definitely do again.

Really pretty. Trails split but are clearly marked. Easy to navigate. Humid due to the woodiness. Kind of hard to get to, no real place to park (coming from the recreation area of WG, where there's construction). Would do again, though!

One of my favorite places to hike.

Love this trail!

Great trail!

Great trail, way , way to many mosquitos!

Did this trail today and I had such a good experience. Got lost once or twice due to some unclear markings but I managed. I was however the only one there. Very peaceful!

Good easy trail, well maintained.

Very nice trail and very clean.

Very peaceful walk. You can almost forget that you are in a suburban area. On today’s walk, I spotted a large red headed woodpecker, an armadillo, that completely ignored me as he dug around for his breakfast, a garter snake, and swallowtail butterfly that danced around me for almost two minutes. And I heard a Mockingbird somewhere in the wood trying to trick me.... lovely visit to the wood.

Secluded forest walk along nice trail with views of mature forest and river floodplains/swamps. Lots of indications of wild hog rooting, and we found several ticks hitchhiking on our clothes. Speaking to rangers this trail is pretty well known for its ticks, so bring repellant and do your tick checks!

Great spot to practice or go out with friends. The bike paths are not challenging, but you are going to encounter a fair amount of sand patches in which you can slide/fall if not paying attention. Great park overall.

Id love to know where to park for this trail and where I should access it from. The construction has it blocked off.

Beautiful trails to run so the scenery doesn’t get boring. It’s not all as open as I would have liked, but the main parts definitely are. There is also lovely wildflowers and a pond. There is a lot of sand/mud, and tall grasses as well. Mosquito spray is a good idea. But as there isn’t as much traffic I did encounter a snake while running so always keep an eye out!

Walked this trail on June 14, 2018. It's about 60% shaded which is much needed in Houston. The trail is asphalt and also used as a bike trail. This was a Thursday so not crowded. I would think on the weekends and holidays it would be well used with cyclists so watch out.

Love this little trail! The trail is different every step of the way so you don’t get bored especially when there are so many fun bridges to cross!

Great little trail if you live in Houston. Almost feels like you are outside the city. Very easy paved pathway. Walking, biking, bird watching. There is an 1800 cemetery, small airport, and park midway between Bear Creek and Cullen. Trailhead is at Hwy 6 and Patterson.

Very peaceful and clean. Love it.

They paved the main trail. Ruined the whole place with that crap. Never coming back to my once favorite running trails. No longer trails btw when you pave them.
What a huge let down.

Nice loop, very green and scenic compared with others in the area. Fairly easy hiking, but feels very remote. Lots of wildlife, from rabbits and squirrels to wild hogs and I've seen one deer. I've camped along the creek a couple nights, but even with proper filtering/purification the water sources (creek) aren't safe for human consumption in my experience. Otherwise this would be a great trail to camp along.

Decent trail that is easy but challenging at the same time. Early mornings you can explore the bike trail to add extra miles. Well marked, but the alltrails map of it is not really correct. There is a loop but the off shoots are not as defined as shown. Can't go 10 miles without doing the the loop multiple times.

It a good 10 miles total. No one else on the trail on a beautiful March day. There is no lake, just a few creeks. There is no parking lot on either end, but plenty of street parking. In the middle there is a short walk along a road with a home that has a pack of unleashed dogs that were eager to greet us.

Can't make a complete loop due to a lot of washed out trails, especially after a hard rain. Mosquitos in abundance, so take plenty of spray which didn't really help. Have multiple bites after 2.8 miles. It is an easy trail with lots of side turns. Easy to turn into a 3-4 mile hike, especially if you add the walk around the lake to your hike.

Great hike, okay view.
