Easy/moderate depending on the weather. Great views of rural PA

I wanted to add some distance so I parked at the AT parking lot by the Pine Grove Furnace and followed the AT to the back side of the trail.

Nice hike. I think I did the blue loop trail which is blue and orange much of the way. I started to the right of the pavilion. it was muddy early on. About mid way you have to cross the creek a few times. This would be difficult to do without getting your shoes under water. I took my shoes and socks off for 2 crossings I wouldn't have been able to do without getting my shoes wet so I was able to finish with dry socks and shoes. About 4 miles. Moderate uphill at the end. Rest of trail was not too difficult except trying to keep from getting my feet wet or muddy.

New Year’s Day took a hike to the top and the views were beautiful! First time hiking this trail and plan on hiking it again, great workout!

It’s a short loop. Crowded on nice days but nice and scenic

Great trail. But without this app I would of been lost. Sometimes the markings were sparse enough ( especially along the creek) that I thought I missed a marking. Trail criss crosses across a creek which can be very confusing. But, nonetheless I had a great time exploring the landscape.

We did this hike New Years Day 2019. It was a great hike! The waterfalls were raging after all the rain yesterday. It was awesome! I highly recommend this hike!

Nice hike. A lot more traffic on the trail than I expected. Great for joggers and walking your dog, but I also would say beware of owners with dogs off leash (even though there are lots of signs against it).

Great trail, just wish it was longer and less populated. I had a desire to bushwhack off trail to other areas.

Wonderful scenery and decently well marked trails. just make sure you look up every so often to not miss the trail markers. We followed the yellow markers for a bit until we reached the train tracks and the open river. Almost missed the continuation of the trail that turns blue right after the white train track bridge. Many skinny portions to the trail and lots of rocks to climb up and around. Towards the end we got a little stuck and had to cross the creek to make it to the road. Overall the trail was a lot of fun with some sketchy parts that are a little slippery. Parking lot is a little small so be careful.

Nice trail for younger children.

we had an awesome time time hiking here, it was just rained the day before, so the water was really moving for the water fall.

great hiking up and gorgeous views. if you follow the path behind on the northwest side it goes down a less steep way.

We went in December, 35 degree weather, perfect time of the year for it because the steep trail makes you sweat- so you won’t be cold

A nice walk along the river with a damn waterfall halfway through. Some parts you have to step over roots/trees but for the most part it’s fairly flat. The end section is anticlimactic, you hit a road and then turn around, but the way there is very pleasant.

Nice falls. Quite heavily frequented even during wintery weather conditions. There is no loop next to the falls (except maybe if you feel like climbing on the rocks). It definitely is an in and out trail.

Extremely beautiful trail with peaceful views and running water sound. A must do if in the area!

The falls are beautiful and a must see if near the area, trail is easy enough to follow and this hike can be done in under 30 mins. Not so good, lots of college aged kids screaming, blocking the trail and drinking beer. Pretty sure this is a common occurrence as the falls smelled heavily like beer, its unfortunate people cant respect the environment.

Wet rocks and leaves made it a little sketchy. But worth it! A lot of recent rain had the tiny creek roaring! Beautiful !

Great trail

Extremely heavily trafficked, but beautiful none the less.

It’s tougher than you may expect but worth it! Also if you visit the day after a rain storm expect about 4-5 water crossings so bring a change of shoes for everyone!

Excellent hike, amazing view from Pulpit Rock. Not too hard. Just right for a morning hike.

Beautiful trail along the creek. We enjoyed the beautiful sight of the nature and pleasant sounds from the creek. Tree roots and rocks made it a bit challenging because we had to watch our steps quite often. At the end of the trail is the dam, picnic tables, and a nice playground.

Family friendly short and shaded trail. The first hiking experience for my 4 year old child. He was excited and was able to complete the whole trail without getting a piggyback.

We went with a group that all had different skill levels. The rocks and tree roots made it more difficult for a person with a mild ankle injury but we went slow. Toward the end, there was a fresh downed tree so we didn't complete the last .2 miles. Beautiful, fun trail. There were several groups of people but it never felt crowded. Like another reviewer wrote, it feels like being in another country.

Beautiful waterfalls and easy hiking. Would be nice to see the rhododendron in bloom or the leaves changing. Will plan accordingly next time.

This place is fantastic, but a word to the wise--the initial bridge to the Blue Trail (the "moderate" one) is gone. I'm not sure why. This means that the only good way to get to the moderate trail is to start on the difficult Yellow Trail and walk/slide across one of the fallen log bridges. It's fun, but NOT easy, and I would not recommend taking small children until Spring 2019 or whenever they reinstate the bridge.

Heavily used small trail. Popular with families. More of an out and back then a loop. Scenic, though crowed waterfall. Small climb by bottom of waterfall.

Suggest boots with good tread. Slick in some places. Well maintained with nice waterfalls to view. Save your energy for the climb back up. There were lots of benches to rest on if needed.
