Beautiful trail with lots of cool spots for photos. Very challenging too especially after a rain the night before. Tou have to watch your every step. The waterfalls was indeed a treat.

I loved this trail!! So fun and exciting, lots of little obstacles to climb over, my dog loved it! I would however consider this a moderately difficult trail, can be slippery in some spots, especially near the waterfall parts

Nice easy trail. I agree with Lexi below, we went with our two dogs and there must have been 100 people standing around in the falls. we couldn't even get close. Will try to go back off season.

The initial walk down the gravel road is long and can be hot on a sunny, summer day because the road is open without much tree cover. The side trail to get to the cliff is easy to miss and unmarked but if using the hiking app it will mark where to turn. This next trail is beautiful. Its shaded and full of wild life. Towards the end of the trail it becomes rocky with large boulders, can be dangerous and difficult for young children or small dogs. The end of the path is worth the hike. Beautiful view of the gorge below and miles outward above the trees. Caution!!! Sunbathing on the edge of the cliff were two Copperhead snakes. My husband unbeknownst almost stepped on them. We actually have a picture of him standing just a small rock above the crease they were laying in. (Before we saw them of course!) Therefore, keep caution for snakes and tread carefully.

Should be marked as moderate/difficult. In some spots it was challenging.

Beautiful Trail with plenty of water and sights. Pretty busy and the trails are pretty tight.

This is a busy park, so all of the attractions are usually populated, but it is still a very cool place to take the family. Check out my full write up with directions and things to look out for.

Awesome workout! Treacherous hiking! Short trails, beautiful falls.

Beautiful waterfall at the end of the trail. The trail was muddy after rainfall the day before. We were able to dip our feet in the water by the falls. It was crowded (we went at 11am on an August Sunday) and there was some empty bottles but overall a beautiful and relaxing hike. Definitely will do it again but earlier in the day to avoid the crowd.

Follow the trail along the Tobyhanna Creek and it’s beautiful. Hiked a day after a rain. The path was the usual root and rock trail with episodic slippery mud. Benches are placed at scenic overlooks on the creek.

Moderately difficult trail. Definitely wear boots. Wet and slippery in several areas. Do the Orange trail to the left to go up. At the top turn right at the fire pit and take the Red Trail. Ironically the first marker you see is a Blue Marker. This is the Red Trail even though the first market is Blue. Several sections could use a grab wire or rope. One slip and you are over the edge. Winter time be prepared for lots of ice.

Beautiful trail and waterfall. Great for kids! But watch out where you step we had a rattlesnake on the trail 2 feet in front of us before we saw it.

I’m 72 years old and in excellent shape. AllTrails rates this hike as “easy” but my own observations mixed with comments I solicited from other hikers were: “challenging “, “dicey”, “treacherous” and “more moderate” . The path follows a rushing stream with falls and ponds. It’s beautiful but the path itself is often narrow, rock and root filled, and slippery. Hickory Run State park considers this hike the “most difficult “ in the park. Be cautious.

Had a great hike. Lots to see at every turn. some roots on the trails but no worries. Our dogs had no troubles either. We are marking this one as one of our favorites

Great, scenic hike. Take a waterproof backpack, wear proper hiking boots, bring water and a snack. On very nice days it can get busy and there are a lot of people who don't hike with proper attire, but it didn't bother us. People were very courteous and friendly. Take the Orange trail to hike up the falls, it's nice and cool, lots of great waterfalls! We didn't hike the whole Orange trail, once we got to the top we cut over to go down on the Blue marked trail. It is very rocky, slippery in some spots, but the adventure is fun!

Fun hike, not too challenging. Lots of cool sights.

Fantastic hike. Very difficult climb and certainly dangerous at many spots along the climb. We took our 15 year old and 6 year old (who is tough as nails). They did really great. Do NOT attempt this climb without hiking boots and pants. We were crawling in spots and on all fours going up. Worth the hour to the top. The falls are breathtaking! I was amazed at how many people were climbing back down the same way they came up. Seriously dangerous! When you get all the way at the top of the last fall you’ll find a fire ring. The trail on your right takes you back down a very easy decent right into the parking lot.

A very nice trail with paths that are very fitting to the name. It was my first time hiking there and I absolutely loved it.

great for small kids, easy to navigate. Main reason I would hesistate to return was it was crowded with people. if we return, I'll take a trash bag and pick up the litter that was strewn around.

It was quick easy trail to get the blood flowing. Decent lookout points to the Tobyhanna Creek.

Great hike! The trail isn’t marked well and it’s easy to get off track without using the map on AllTrails. The waterfalls were amazing, especially with all the rain, but quite a bit of the trail had ankle deep standing water too. The overlooks were also just as beautiful.

Loved this trail. Follows the creek most of the time so you can see and hear the water much of the time. Several boulders along creek to lounge on to take in the views. Very peaceful and well maintained trails until you get toward the end where its a bit weedy. No bugs today at end of July. Nice little waterfall too. You do need to be nimble as some parts have tree roots, stones to navigate.

Really fun hike along the AT. Take the North Trail where it splits off from the AT for the best views on a clear day. And the South Trail is a lot of fun - if you enjoy a good rock scramble!!

Great trail very physical need to have good boots and be careful lots of fun spectacular views

Walked about half a mile to the falls with kids. Loved it. Beautiful. Lots of limbs on the trail so I’m not sure whether this is great for trail running. Caveat: I am not a trail runner.

Lots of little outlooks to view the falls and river. *Be advised, if you are using the NE extension of the PA Tpk, this is an EZ Pass only exit. I split the day up with a hike up Glen Onoko Falls, just a short drive down 209.

definitely worth the effort

we got there at 10 on a summer Sunday and it was nice, but packed when we left. highly recommend going up on the left and down on the right. took the blue trail with our tough 8 year old and it was about 2h with a lunch stop

love this place!!! so beautifulll

This used to be one of my favorite loops but the crowd really kills it. Last time I was there, a child went full Tarzan and swung from a branch. Cute, until the branch came down and hit me in the head, nearly knocking me down the dangerous falls. The other children laughed while the mother scoffed at me. I guess she didn't like the angry look on my face. The only person who was sincerely apologetic was the father. This is dangerous terrain and if your children cannot be respectful or if you cannot control.them, LEAVE YOUR KIDS AT HOME.

I see people taking the trail backwards and coming DOWN the fall side, with tears in their eyes because they didn't think it was going to be so hard. I see them not heeding the warnings and wearing flip flops. People are dumb.

The nature is gorgeous and serene... The falls are beautiful and wicked and plentiful. I wish people would be more respectful and NOT LEAVE THEIR LITTER BEHIND!

The hike is one with a fairly difficult incline, lightly scrambled, often muddy. The trail is small with enough room for one or two people side by side. Difficult, dangerous trail but not too demanding of anyone who is in shape or has full function of feet and knees.
