Beautiful hike!! The fallen leaves, old growth forest, interesting mushroom groves, waterfalls, and ending at the the lake. Loved it!

im not in great shape so this was tough for me. im glad i did the falls first because i was exhausted by the time a got back down from the lake. it was soo worth it though. im used to doing hikes during the week so very surprised at the amount of people. a message to anyone who is on the hefty side, "you can do it." although it might take you longer and bring lots of water.

It was in the low 20’s last weekend up there, perfectly clear. Our GPS read closer to 19 miles total. Hiked up above Robin and then bushwhacked down diagonal across granite to the trail. Definitely confusing after Tuck lake. Stay to left of Tuck Pot, climb up a bunch of granite areas scrambling. So many goat trails branching off to confuse folks. We had goats at night and the dog freaked inside the tent, oh well. No goats after that. Little creeks are frozen in the mornings. I’m 68, so you can make it, also. It is quite steep and my legs are still sore. Real pretty up there.

Great trail, the falls are definitely a must on the way to the lake. It didn't feel as though as we thought it would be. It was crazy busy so that kinda took away from the magic.

Beautiful place. The hike was easy but a bit long for my daughter and boyfriend. The lower trail is much better than the upper. The lower trail fallows the creek and is up and down The upper trail is a long gentle grade up and a long gentle grade down. It would be great for jogging but it’s not very scenic. The lake was beautiful and the views of the mountains is glorious. I would do it again for sure.

Fantastic double waterfall a little over one mile in over easy terrain. A little past that it gets a little tougher with a few switchbacks up to another waterfall. At this point the trail continues on meandering through the woods before finally ending at the river. A nice 9 miles in and out with enough elevation gain to make it a workout. No bugs this time of year. Not too crowded; easy parking 11am on a sunny Sunday.

Great hike with some amazing view points and beautiful lakes!!!

Went there today. Very beautiful golden larch. Parking lot was full when I got there at 8:10. I had to park my car on the side.

Wifey and I took the four kiddos on this trek. We had to carry two of them on our backs. The first 2-3 miles were just up hill. The lake at the end was well worth it though!

Fantastic trail! the falls is a quick and easy trip and you should definitely make the side 0.5mile visit. catch it in the fog and be ready for amazing pictures.
the lake requires much more work, not hard but persistent elevation gain through a mostly well kept trail with wide-breasted stairs throughout. plenty of things to look at along the way not just boring dirt. the lake itself was clouded out for me but still awesome to be up there.

Beautiful hike. Tons of people, but still had sections of quiet solitude. Golden larches against the snow were beautiful. Micro spikes were helpful for a quarter mile section.

Awesome hike, the road up was pretty wash-boarded. If you want to go all the way to the lake, bring micro-spikes -- the trail gets snowy/icey at the end

Favorite hiking spot thus far! We can’t wait to go back.

We hiked this trail Sunday, 10/7. Temperature was in the 50's with a little sprinkle that we really couldn't feel until we reached the lake. Fall is my favorite time to hike to alpine lakes because no bugs, no crowds, and gorgeous foliage. Round trip, this hike took 5 hours with taking about 30 minutes to admire and explore the lake area. We took the lower elliot up and the upper elliot down. To be honest, I wouldn't waste my time with the upper elliot again... it is longer and gravel road-like. The lower elliot runs along the creek and offers diversity and more challenge. Fresh snow appeared to be accumulating on the peaks above the lake! All in all, we enjoyed it; serene and leisurely.
Also, no bears in site.

Nice fall hike. Oct 7. Hiked to Bridal Falls then to lake Serene. Total mileage is about 8.4 miles. Started at 1115am, was in my car at 315pm. With maybe 25min spent at the falls and 25 min at the lake.

Nice

Amazing

This is truly a HARD hike. first 3 miles are leisurely, then the inclines start. Slight at first, but then... thigh burning work out! Started the hike around 9am, has lunch at Tuck Lake. Beautiful. Dress in layers because the weather changes quickly up there. The way to Robin Lake is really unclear. Follow the cairnes! There multiple routes, just based on how easily you can climb or scale terrain. Other hikers on the trail were very helpful and kept our group motivated. The view from up top is so worth it. Coming down was quicker. we got back to the car around 6pm. A FULL day hike. Most hikers stay the night. ensure you get off the mountain before the sun sets.

This trail is very easy in the beginning, first half of the trail is very rewarding with two waterfalls on the right side; but I don’t recommend to walk further than second waterfall. It was muddy, small path and once you arrived in the campground or the river , it is very standard!! and a lot of bugs :(
If I come back; I’ll just do first half

Just hiked this on Friday September 28th. The water at Lemah creek was still a bit high so had to cross barefoot. The trail is pretty incredible!

Great trail and easy to manage, even in the dark. Arrived at the trailhead at 4am and managed to make it up to the lake by 7am for the sunrise, which did not disappoint. Dozens of goats near the boulder fields but they were quick to get out of the way when we shouted at them. Would definitely recommend this hike for anyone wanting to do a Larch March!

Hiked Oct 2017, strenuous and totally worth it. Really enjoyed this one. Don’t go chasing waterfalls, get to the lake first and then stop by the falls on the way down. We wasted way too much time at Bridal falls

First rainy hike since moving to the PNW a few months ago. Went to Lake Serene and skipped the falls. I would rate this trail as more moderate, it's steadily uphill but not technical at all with well a manicured trail and well positioned rocks for your climbing needs. The lake was beautiful even in the rain and you pass a few smaller waterfalls on the way up.

Absolutely awesome. This one definitely fits the bill for "hard" I think. I recommend planning an entire day here, or camp overnight at the top. Perfect balance of enjoying the forest but with a ton of scenery of the surrounding peaks throughout. Some of the parts, the trail isn't very visible but still easy to know where to go. I can't wait to do it again!

One of the most beautiful hikes I've ever done; incredible mountainous views the entire hike. Gorgeous lake, big fluffy white mountain goats. The trail becomes a boulder hill the last mile or so, so watch for the carrans (stacks of rocks that have been strategically placed to show you where to climb) or follow other hikers for the best way to the lake if you're not sure.

I didn't think this hike was that difficult. Long? Perhaps. But it's so breathtaking that every mile should be savored as you take in the views.
