Not hard but really the reward at the top is worth it!

Amazing vue of the Outaouais region on the top! Beautiful trail!

Is like very cool

Great workout with some great views!!!

Don't need snowshoes this time of year. Winter hiking boots are adequate. When starting from P13, after about 15 minutes there'll be a fork in the trail. Take Mahinga trail which will eventually ascend. The trail path follows close to the edge, allowing for some wonderful vistas along your route.

Great Hike.
This time of year you don't need snowshoes. There are handful of steep ascent and descent, so you may need hiking poles for traction. Or you can old school and walk along the snow adjacent to the trail for more traction when ascending or descending.

Excellent and challenging trail for year round hiking or snowshoeing in the winter.

Great winter trail

I had planned to snowshoe but the trail was too packed down. Instead I hiked with poles - was difficult but very pretty. Some very steep sections where I wished I had cleats.

Good little trail but...NO DOGS ALLOWED

Me and my husband had a great time...its a nice trail..the view on the top is amazing....

I love this Trail (in every season!!) Two amazing lookouts (and very different), the sounds of small streams running through a beautiful forest... with a variety of levels of difficult throughout the Trail. It’s about 8.5km total, I think. I recommend turning RIGHT at the fork (near the beginning of the Trail head), to aim towards Mahingan Lookout first. It’s a steep uphill climb for 2km from there. Then a shorter easier 2k walk to the next Lookout, and then a gradual and longer 3.5km walk back to the Trailhead. I also recommend going for both summer hiking and winter hiking(or snowshoeing in my case) to see how awesome but different the landscape is!

Very enjoyable route for snowshoeing. Some steep slopes that are challenging in winter but the varied terrain makes for a rewarding route that travels through different patches of forest and open field. There is also a fire pit and wood available at Lac Carman should a rest be needed.

Connects with a number of other snowshoeing trails to the north and south.

One of the best trails in Gatineau park. Great views along the Ottawa valley at the half-way point really add to an already enjoyable walk through the forest. Crosses a few streams and can therefore be wet at times - be prepared!

Great hike!

Beatiful trail with unseasonably warm weather. At the end was able to cool off in Meech Lake.

I went twice and would go again.

Great view, especially in the fall.

Went midday during Fall Rhapsody and it was pretty busy but less so on the actual Skyline loop. There are two fairly decent sized free parking lots at the base and many other connecting trails all around.

Beautiful fall colours in the forest!

I love this trail! I take my dog here all the time and she loves this trail as well. Everyone I meet on this trail is super friendly.

Challenging and wet at times, but very beautiful.

Great and modereate trail. Not busy. Very nice views!!

Maybe not do it again but still glad I did. It's a nice long walk, but in the end reaaaally easy. Not too crowded if you go for the loop.

Still my most-frequented and one of my favourite Trails ever!! Easy hiking, with a great view of Meech Lake along the way. The Ruins are basically a big playground and you can just walk all over the whole area, up the waterfalls, into the building, along the side of the water. Looks great from all angles and just stunning all year round! It's my favourite place to bring people who've never been to Gatineau park before. Love love love

Moderate in the summer, difficult in the winter (snowshoeing), but AMAZING all year round! I recommend turning RIGHT at the fork when starting the trail. This way brings you steeply straight up the mountain for a few kms, stopping at the awesome Mahingan Lookout first. Then a couple kms further brings you to the Tawadina Lookout, which has got to be one of the most stunning views of Gatineau Park! Then it's easy going mostly downhill for the last few kms, with nice streams alongside/crossing the path. Great trail

Beautiful lookouts.
