Short, different and Fun!

My favourite waterfall although hike is short and usually very crowded.

Beautiful hike but didn't realize the number of stairs involved. Expected a few but those of us plus 70's with hip and knee issues had to take the stairs and stone steps slow and easy. The heighth of the stone stairs varied greatly. We also found that a few areas we're beginning to erode away, making some areas a little difficult. But with all that said, it was one of the best hikes we have ever taken.

Very beautiful with fall colors. Falls were alittle weak compared to other times visited, yet just as beautiful and worth the drive!!

This is not hard and is more or a walk. Pretty views on a clear day.

Beautiful views from the trail.

This hike was pretty crowded on an October day. It starts out as paved, but turns into a rocky and dirt trail shortly into the start. It can be pretty slippery at times. It’s very beautiful and you get to go behind waterfalls.

Absolutely beautiful. Went in October and had the trail to ourselves. Took four kids with us and they did great. However, it was indeed poorly marked. I wish I had read the reviews and learned that the trail continued past the campground. We thought it just faded away there and turned to head back.

Very magical place, expected Bilbo Baggins and gang to pop out behind the trees! Beach is lovely, not many people. Great hike!

Amazing place

This is a beautiful hike. It is flat to start out and then it eventually gains. The weather was beautiful and we went at a nice pace. Some in our party saw some bull and cow elk by the pond on the way to Cub Lake. The burned area is a contrast and is interesting in its own right. We could see a lot of new vegetation in the burn area. I like looking across the canyon to the sheer rock faces on the north side.

Did this trail a few days ago. Nice, easy trail. Got out there around 9a. Not too many people out there. Came across elk out in the Meadows. Trail is easy to follow. Four stars because unfortunately it's through an area hit with fire. Lots of dead trees :(

Quite easy. lovely scenery. very busy on a Sunday around noon.

By far one of the best places to if you are new to Eugene or just here for a visit. I have used it to drop a few pounds (ok like 40)! A few different starting points and awesome views.

on Trail of Ten Falls

Went during the week and there were still a fair amount of people on the trail in the morning, but didn’t feel overcrowded. Winter Falls is currently dry and Double Falls is barely a trickle. Overall beautiful fall colors and scenery.

Did this hike 6 week postpartum. It was very challenging as I wasn’t in great shape yet, but was very doable. I definitely recommend! Go early! Wear sunscreen and don’t forget water! Very rewarding views. Lots of going up and but going down is challenging too with loose spots. Take your time!

beautiful! I was lucky enough to go at an unbusy time.

I went from the trailhead to China Creek Loop and back (did not do the beach portion). Leisurely shaded hike in a beautiful forest. The China Creek Loop was my favorite part.

Sad to see all of the burned out area, but if you stick it out to the top you will finally get to unburned area. Views from the top today were awesome. Actual up and back trail length is 7.2 miles.

Only did half of this (footbridge to summit & back) due to time, but a threat hike! Not for the inexperienced or out of shape. Will come back to finish this this and other again soon.

Good little trail if you wanna get in some quick exercise. The sunset is glamorous from the top. A little busy, but manageable during the week. I would do it again and maybe even attempt running a little.

Such a beautiful hike. I live close by, so I did it in a few sections first. Took my sisters with me once. Then took my husband and we did the full loop last Sunday. He had not been there before. He loved it too! Lots of people later in the day, but most are very friendly.

I hiked this trail last summer, just a week before the fire. Really glad to have had the chance to hike through the forested areas and meadows before they burned.

It took me just over 90 minutes to reach the top. Many of the other reviews here have mentioned the amazing views at the summit. Yep, I agree, although the day I went up it was quite smokey. Mt. Washington, for example, was barely visible through the haze. I'd love to go up again on a clear day.

If you're reasonably fit and an experienced hiker, this isn't a difficult trail. Just as I was coming out to the parking lot, I saw a couple just getting ready to go up. It was already past noon, so they'd be hiking during the hottest part of the day. They were wearing light-duty sneakers and blue jeans and had just one small bottle of water for the two of them. For these hikers, the trail may have been difficult....

Just a minor correction on the trail info provided here: according to the info sheet provided by the Deschutes National Forest Ranger Station in Sisters, it's 8.6 miles roundtrip (or 13.8km for us Canadians) with an elevation gain of 2351 feet/716m.

Nice trail, mostly easy with a few short moderate sections. If you do the 6 mile loop be aware that the last mile is walking down the road. Saw a bull elk early on and lots of moose prints on the trail as well. The lake is pretty but there are a lot of burned/dead trees in the area, "the pool" was a nice place to stop for a snack. We arrived at the Cub TH around 6:15 am and were the first people there, although within 10 minutes others were showing up and it was full by the time we left. We went to Cub Lake first, then followed the trail down to The Pool and then on to the TH parking lot. About 6 miles total including the last mile on the road. The only reasons I gave it a 4 is bc of the dead trees and the mile of road walking, other than that a nice trail.

Nice trail, lake was covered by lily pads. A lot of dead fallen trees surround lake. Saw a mom moose and her baby at a small lake about half way.

Beautiful area, very short hike

Great incline after the river, we saw a moose! BEAUTIFUL

Love it.
