Beautiful scenery on a clear October day. Just the drive here from PDX proper was worth it. A few other hikers on a Monday morning but didn’t feel crowded. Path gets rocky & has a few largish root tangles throughout but nothing truly difficult. Area near the falls can be very slippery, but how far up you go is up to you - it’s selfie-worthy at the bottom too. Path follows water throughout, super pleasant. Gorgeous short hike.

My brother & I hiked this trail and I've got to say this hike is PERFECT if your not trying to go on a really long hike that has difficult terrain to navigate.
The waterfall at the end is DEFINITELY worth every bit of the hike that it takes to get there.
Plus the whole trail on the way to the waterfall has amazing views and cool spots to stop at.

Pretty cool walking under Hood River Meadows ski lift with no snow! Steep in a few spots and Mt Hood peak poking her head through the trees...well-marked trail. Both waterfalls are stunning was very quiet for sunny Sunday morning. Pretty steep going down to Sahalie Falls-lots of roots to help with the scramble and absolutely worth it!

Fee parking, well-marked trail, big parking lot...great for kids & dogs...go early to beat the weekend crowds...steady incline, beautiful Fall foliage and waterfall

So beautiful, definitely worth it to go on to the Tom Dick & Harry trail once you loop the lake!

Did this yesterday (Friday) and LOVED it! Not many people on the trail at all. We found the trail a little confusing but figured it out in the end. Ended up keeping left on both loops going up and doing the other way down. This takes you the gradual way up to McNeil Point and we ended up going down the steep way. We agreed that we would have preferred climbing up the steep way over down- tough but it was pretty sketchy going down. If you go up the gradual way, don't feel like you need to wait until you get to the shelter to stop for views. We didn't sit in the shelter at all because it's enclosed so you miss much of the view. Wish we'd stopped to eat on one of the big rocks coming up!

Really nice view of Mt Hood over the lake but a large portion of the trail is closed. People have created a bit of another route off trail but it's not very clear.

currently road closed for repaving

Really pleasant hike. Nice and flat. Great vantages of the river. Went for fall colors, but they’re not quite out yet (not a complaint).

Amazing little hike along the creek to the falls. The water was incredibly clear and the sandy bottom made it some of the prettiest water I have seen.

Beautiful views of Mount Hood! Very easy hike.

First time hikers with a 9 yr old and a pregnant lady. It was rainy and overcast but was still lovely. Maybe we’re just optimists, but nothing ruined our hike!

Beautiful day on the trail yesterday. The weather was perfect, even though the Mt. Hood view from the point was a bit socked in. Still a few strangling wildflowers and great fall reds, oranges, and yellows on the foliage. Such a well worth it hike!

One of my favorite waterfalls! Amazing this time of year with the fall colors coming in but even better in the snow! A must do!

Really nice hike. It deserves the “moderate” tag because there are rocks and tree roots everywhere under foot, making it a little tricky especially when wet; but the trail is wide and leisurely for sure. I didn’t go on to Tom, Dick, and Harry because it was so foggy I could barely even see the lake, much less any views of mountains in the distance. I’ll be back on a clear day.

great hike to mirror lake but of you are going to go that far take the Tom dick and Harry trail all the way to the top and get views of five peaks at the same time( hood, Jefferson, Rainer, St Helen's, Adams) such an amazing view.

Half the trail is closed right now (September 2018). Also a lot of selfie people out there :(
I offered to take pictures for them though!
Easy beautiful hike for the crew I was with though - husband, 4-year-old, 2-month old.

Great hike for the family.

Beautiful place to hike for summer!!!

Beautiful hike. Lucky we had a clear day got to see Mt Hood and Rainer. Good workout too.. went on Sept 2, 2018

Mt Hood shrouded in clouds. Probably more impressive on a day with better views. Not too crowded for a Saturday. A portion of the trail is temporarily closed for repairs, but there is a fairly well worn alternative.

Easy trail; well-worn, short walk to the falls with a couple signs talking about the area at the beginning. Road is paved whole way. Several cars in parking lot, but didn't run into too many people; mostly families with young children and small dogs.

This trail is currently closed for a month because of a deadly cougar attack until they find the cougar that killed the hiker on the nearby Hunchback Trail.

"The Forest Service closed more than 29,000 acres in the Hunchback Mountain area to public use as officials continue to search for the cougar suspected of causing the death of a Gresham hiker.
The area will be closed for at least 30 days, though the order could end early or be extended depending on the progress of the operation."

Hiked this trail on a weekend with some friends. It is much busier than a weekday, so try your best to get to the trailhead before 8:30 AM. Also, if you can, try to hike it on a clear day. There's so much more to see.

Easy hike, brief view of Mt Hood, nice areas to hang out by the water. Did this with our one year old and he loved walking around by the water.

This was a fun trail for me & a family friend (kiddo that is 10 yrs old) to explore! The trail was clearly marked, dusty, rocky at points, and beautiful to walk along water the majority of the way. I would recommend this if you want a quick morning/afternoon hike. Enjoy!

Loved the waterfall view! Rocky in some spots but not too bad. Wasn’t too busy on a Thursday during the day which was great.

The hike was short and fairly easy. However it was very rocky so be careful; it’s totally doable tho! I’ve seen people bring kids and pets though some parts of the trail might be a bit rough for your pets. The trail was also very scenic and shaded. The waterfall itself was super gorgeous!! I would recommend getting there early because by the time it was noon today, the place was packed with people. Also bring bug spray. Our lunch was disturbed several times by horseflies and yellow jackets. Definitely recommend the hike tho!

Great out and back; more of a good rugged walk than a hike. Perfect for rehanbing my insufferable Achilles tendonosis and knee with zero cartilage. Labor Day, not crowded at all until after 1pm. Lots of doggos, some kiddos. Fun to watch beginning climbers rapelling on a cliff face about 1.5 miles in where you have to follow the road for about 50 ft.
