We saw Adam's Rainier St. Helen's to the north. Mt Hood up close and Jefferson to the south. Did it as a loop with a 5 and 6 year old they loved it.

Veda and Mirror are preferable to Trillium Lake. Crowds are awful. Trail is in utter disrepair. Signage sucks. It was overcast, therefore views of Mount Hood were non-existent.

Super quick, easy, and rewarding hike. Great for out-of-town guests (especially if they range in levels of fitness) who want to experience an Oregon hike but have a million things to squeeze in... tall trees, moss, running water, and a water fall. It’s simple, but exciting. And it just feels really good the whole time... strong, rich energy. A perfect stop on the way to Timberline, Bend, or whatnot.

To call this a hike would be a bit of an exaggeration. Went on a Sunday in August and it was so packed it took us about 10 minutes to find a parking spot. Entire lake was full of people on floaties and kayaks and paddle boards, all of the beaches were loaded with people... Just not the place to be if you're looking for a peaceful hike. That being said, if being at a busy beach is your scene, it was a beautiful beach with an incredible view of Mt. Hood, but it wasn't my thing.

Such a fun hike with a stunning payoff! We arrived at 7:30 AM and were the only ones at the falls for almost an hr, so arrive early to beat the crowds. On the right side near the falls is a rocky trail. Follow it and then carefully ramble your way over the rocks to get to the back of the falls for a tremendous view!

Easy to find and mostly well kept trail. Picking through the rock slide was difficult as the trail there wasn’t well marked. Beautiful view and not busy on a Sunday morning! Sure I’ll be hiking it again

love it! had a great time in the hot tub. we were very lucky that we didnt have to wait.

Best hike on the mountain!

Great for families. Beautiful falls.

Flat. Good "warm up" trail with neat mossy tree views and river. Runs along river and the road but only heard 3 cars whole time near far end of trail. Couple spots to dip toes in river and possibly swim, take water shoes. Need a parking pass, get one at the Zig Zag info station .25 mi west of Salmon River Rd.

beautiful view. uphill, downhill, and flat terrain. easy to get to if you're in Portland. trail, stair, or road options. very dog friendly. usually occupied by a lot of other people. not a secluded area at all. great for all levels.

Amazing views and interesting geology and flora/fauna. Nice road, easy for any type of car.

beautiful waterfall

Nice scenery , easy ride

This was my favorite hike in Oregon! The trail follows the river which kept the air temperature pleasantly cool and provides nice background noise. The falls are beautiful and you can even go behind the waterfall! Do this hike!!!!

Easiest “hike” I’ve ever done. Took me 10 mins to get there, 10 mins to look around and 5 mins go get back while typing this review. If you’re thinking about passing it by bc you’re not sure how long it will take or if it’s worth it. It is. Beautiful, lush, green, shaded. Follows the stream up. The road to get here is longer than the hike itself. You need a national forest pass to park. Tables for picnicking at the trailhead. Almost gave it 4 Stars bc it’s was crawling with people mostly children and older people at 4pm, understandably so.

This hike was beautiful throughout and the falls were better than I could have expected! A quick nice day hike for those short on time. The drive there had great views of Mount Hood, and the drive back to Portland is a great opportunity to stop at the gorge. Make sure to stop ahead of time (like in Zigzag) to get a $5 forest day pass.

The worse one.
In man built wood tubs that feel slimy, water is only warm for so long before you need to leave dump&refill.
Some private rooms with a single log tub.
I mean it's not the greatest, crime is popular not only in the parking lot but within the trail&the tubs.
Nudist is also a strong possibility to view a lot of..

Austin (keep driving past bagby) it's all natural &has the rock built walls to locate prime spot.
More secluded.

There's no words to describe this beauty!
To see so clearly three mountains (off trail #493 High Prairie)
Meadows of wild flowers, gorgeous creepy trees, to the clear openings with big rocks, view of HWY 35 & super simple.
Markers are lined just remember to keep your head in the trees to not miss

Beautiful hike. Follow the signs to the trailhead - GPS was incorrect. The roads to the trail were well maintained.

Very quiet hike, the only person I saw was staying in the look out tower.

A fun trail with a beautiful waterfall at the end.

Cool little hike that has some pretty cool stuff along the way. You get some cool views of cliffs, nice little pools and rapids along the creek, some minor rock climbing and a waterfall. There are also 2 cool bridges. I really enjoyed this trail. I saw many people of all ages with dogs and children, so it’s good for everyone. Definitely check it out.

Great workout! The waterfall at the end is amazing. If you climb over the rocks, you can go behind the waterfall. Like someone else has stated, trail is 4 miles round trip, signs at the trailhead say 2 miles to waterfall.

Great for new hikers with kids.

My daughters and I did our first sunset hike on this hike last night (7/21/18). Started the hike around 5:45pm and made it to the top just as the sun was starting to set. This was an amazing hike. Many different types of terrain to hike over. Challenging...Beauty all over to gaze at. Then we hiked back down in the dark with headlamps. This is one of the first times that this app was way off on mileage and we stayed on the trail (on the red line). My other app mapped it at 9.31miles round trip not 6.9.

Great hike to do with kids! The rocks at the end are a little tricky, but the view from the waterfall is incredible.
