Enjoyed myself driving this trail and think if you are in the area you would also enjoy it.

Beautiful

We love this hike. I would recommend going early in the day on weekends. The views from the top are magnificent.

fun 8 mile hike with gorgeous views at the top. definitely take the time to climb up the first rocky outcropping before the boulder field for a preview of the views to come! the boulder field looks daunting but the trail is fairly clear once you get going.

Definitely longer than 7 mile. This hike is a bit over 8 miles. Also when you are on the trail and encounter the first rock slide, don’t deviate left and up as you will be going the wrong way. Stay right and you will be fine.

Very beautiful with fall colors. Falls were alittle weak compared to other times visited, yet just as beautiful and worth the drive!!

This hike was pretty crowded on an October day. It starts out as paved, but turns into a rocky and dirt trail shortly into the start. It can be pretty slippery at times. It’s very beautiful and you get to go behind waterfalls.

My brother & I drove ALL the way here for nothing...
We can hike like beasts and navigate well but once we got about 1/2 way done with the hike, your just left stranded and guessing.
there's a HUGE lack of signs and you just get lead to an open area of complete confusion.
We tried to find the right trail using the description but had no luck at all.
We tried to find the right way for an hour or two and just said screw all of this and packed it home.
If you want to waste your time... Come Up To This Trail!

Quite easy. lovely scenery. very busy on a Sunday around noon.

on Trail of Ten Falls

Went during the week and there were still a fair amount of people on the trail in the morning, but didn’t feel overcrowded. Winter Falls is currently dry and Double Falls is barely a trickle. Overall beautiful fall colors and scenery.

Beautiful. Rog’s directions below are essential reading before you go.

First, the map is wrong but the road to the trail head is clearly marked so just follow the signs!!
This is an amazing hike! Leaves are starting to turn and there are fantastic colors. A definite must!!

Such a beautiful hike. I live close by, so I did it in a few sections first. Took my sisters with me once. Then took my husband and we did the full loop last Sunday. He had not been there before. He loved it too! Lots of people later in the day, but most are very friendly.

Great hike!!!! past reviews helped big time to find the falls. once you get to the dead end it’s only .5 miles to falls but it’s a climb down and a climb back up ,totally worth though . lots of people while we were there . parking is very tight

This trail is very, very dangerous. If you are on the trail in Rog’s pictures (below), you might consider turning around and finding the easier trail a bit further down. We got pretty banged up and were told by a girl that her mom was life-flighted out due to sliding all the way down.

Under current driving conditions (9/22/18) I would say you absolutely must have a high clearance vehicle or you’re going to get stuck.

There are also people shooting guns and drinking most of the way down. Just a heads up.

The waterfall is magical and totally worth visiting.

Love it.

Fantastic hike with one amazing waterfall after another!

Exquisite and idyllic!

This was an easy hike with gorgeous waterfalls. It can get crowded, especially at the falls that are less than a mile from the trailhead, but the farther away from the trailhead I got the less people I saw.

One of my favorite hikes that I went to. Absolutely beautiful! The unpaved road definitely makes it hard to walk so hiking shoes are recommended (I used running shoes and almost slipped few times). However, the scenery is breathtaking!!!! I got to observe the nature in the most vivid ways— got to see the wildlife (bees, spiders, garden snakes, etc...).

Abiqua is a hard hike but it totally worths the time and energy !!! My friends and I felt accomplished !

FREAKING GORGEOUS!! Getting there can be tricky so definitely read the previous comments made by others. I got there and had such an amazing time thanks to the tips and comments I read on here. The unpaved road constituted half of the hike literally but once you’re at the trailhead, the hike itself is less than 2 mi. Steep hills but the ropes and fallen trees along the way made it a tad easier. The waterfall made it up for all of the hard work. A MUST SEEN! This is by far the hardest but it is also my favorite hike! Super peaceful and calm :) I’m definitely coming back

Hiked this trail on Sunday 9/9/18. Started about 2:00 pm and went counter clockwise. Clocked over 9 miles and 1400 feet of elevation gain. The falls are amazing, though a few were dry. Not as many people in the afternoon and going that direction. Make sure you have your Trail app on because some of the trail has no signage. Very well maintained hike with a push toward the end up switchback stairs. Will be back in spring when the water is higher!

Finding the trail head was a challenge. Spent about half an hour just trying to figure out where to start. Recommend having screen shots of directions as no cell service. My Subaru couldn’t make it all the way down so I hiked about 3 extra miles, GPS put me at about 5 round trip. It felt like a ton of work for the payoff but I’m giving 4 stars due to the lack of people (I went on a weekday).
Also, I wouldn’t recommend doing this with a dog unless they are very agile. I had to carry my 60lb pit bull up a steep hill because she was struggling.

I passed the entrance and got lost for about an hour, until a really good person showed me the right road. It is true that the further you go, the sketchier it gets. I don’t think the road is meant for sedan cars, so I will recommend to drive the road as far as you can and the condition of the road allows you. When you start to see the road full of very sharp rocks, park the car in one of the several spots along the road. Then walk from that point. You will find at the end a closed white gate, then turn back and find to your left one of the trailhead with a withe and black sign (see picture). Once you’re there, as you already read from other comments, in the Y section, take the left and you’ll get to the bottom with no complications. You will use the ropes to climb down, but it is really easy. Enjoy :).

This was a beautiful run to do, definitely stopped a few times to take in the sites, going counterclockwise around the loop, you get the gradual climb done first and then you have a gradual downhill and steep uphill to finish on.

beautiful hike, we ended up doing 10 miles by the time we got back to the car to make sure we saw everything we came to see.

Amazing, amazing, amazing!!
Winter Falls and Double Falls are both dry at the moment, so unless there’s a bit of rain soon, probably not worth the trip - but even with the falls a bit drier, and having a lighter flow, I would highly recommend this. It’s not too difficult but it’s absolutely beautiful. It took me about 4 hours all up to do the loop, and I was taking my sweet time.
I did the loop counterclockwise (aka South Falls last) which I was happy with - except between South Falls and Lower South Falls there’s about 180 steps... that’s hard to get up after already clocking in a few miles haha. Barely saw anyone going that way for whatever reason - I barely saw anyone at all really. Early September, on a Thursday in the middle of the day... apparently a pretty quiet time for the trail ha!

much easier than we anticipated and the landslide field was easier to navigate than other reviewers suggested. we had our 10-month-old and he was super content, too! great hike to do in about 3.5-4 hours. we’ll definitely be back!

We did the 9.5 mile loop around all of the falls. We went clockwise, which was great to avoid the Labor Day crowds. But Strictly based on elevation, I think it would be easier to go counter clockwise. There were lots of fun areas for our kids to play in the river during the hike too. Overall the waterfalls were stunning and the trails were well maintained. They weren’t very well marked, so if you can keep the AllTrails app up, I would suggest you do so.
