Great hike, beautiful falls. Well marked

BE AWARE ICY TRAIL!! Wanted to hike larch mountain trail on 12/8/18, but signs at multnomah said it was closed from here, then I attempted to hike to the top of the falls, which I've never done and again the trail was way too icy... I think it was at switchback 2 or 3 out of 11 long switchbacks that I gave up, with every step even with my trekking pole I was slipping with each step. I'll have to try another time. There was also freezing rain when I was here.

Loved coming here! so beautiful! a trip with remembering for a long time! it was a bit chilly when I went there, but I had a warm jacket on, so that took care of it.... make sure to bundle up when going on a cold day. it was packed, but we found some parking! so picturesque! a must go. it's practically nothing to go up to the bridge, but still wear good shoes. Have fun!

Nice easy walk and a beautiful waterfall! Was pretty busy there even on a weekday in late November. Definitely recommend going early to miss the crowds

It's a Moderate hike I'd say. the out houses were locked when we got there so that was kinda cruddy. Hike wasn't the most beautiful, in my opinion. Although, the closer you get to the falls, the more scenic the trail becomes and the waterfall itself was pretty stellar. Trail is a little narrow in some areas. Pretty rocky towards the top, so just be careful during the winter or simply when its wet.

Was easy and fun hike. It’s pretty muddy right now when you get to the overlook from the top of the falls. My dog loved this hike and the switch backs tired him out.

the trail is open to the top of the falls. fire damage evident, lots of new growth on the forrest floor.

Too many people to enjoy anything. Few had any trail etiquette or adequate shoes for the conditions. This made the hike unsafe, with folks blocking the trail or slipping and sliding into us. We couldn't get off the trail fast enough.

Absolutely BEAUTIFUL!

Beautiful little walk in a majestic old growth forest.

I’ve done this hike so many times now. It will probably always be my favorite! It’s great for those who are new to hiking, or haven’t in a long while getting back into it. It had a nice steady incline until you reach the last stretch of stairs. The views are amazing!

Beautiful!!

I am not from this area. I along with several other cars pulled over and parked in front of the gate right off the highway and waited for the gate to open. I read online and it says that it works off sensors and opens as several cars leave. After seeing about 20 cars leave and it never opened I got frustrated and decided to try my luck by going up the highway and turning around and entering from the other side. There is no gate on the other side. You go straight in. Beautiful waterfall.

An amazing all around hike! Small walk right up to the base of the falls, or a small moderate 2.0 mile loop if you’re interested in hiking the whole trail. On the trail you’ll see a second waterfall and some other beautiful sights! Hiked it on 11/7/2018, and the fall colors were really popping. Loved every bit of it!

Didn't do the entire trail because we were on a time schedule but the waterfall is gorgeous. Highly suggest.

I'd suggest going to any of the other waterfalls in the area.

This is extremely packed with tourists, and the top of the trail is closed due to fire damage.

Perfect hike, not hard just enough and getting to the waterfall was a great experience.

This is a beautiful trail through a lush forest that follows a stream and leads you to the impressive bridal veil falls. Nice and shaded, relaxing hike w some uphill along the way.

Not difficult, but if you want to get better pictures you’ll do a little navigating on slippery rocks. Even then, it’s not bad. Views are spectacular, of course.

Easy trail, obviously scenic, waterfall is beautiful ... just wish I had more time to spend here. So amazing ... and it’s close to the city.

So beautiful!

I've been on a lot of hikes in the area and have always seen the falls from a far, so beautiful close up, totally worth it. i do recommend continuing the hike to the lake, but maybe not with small kids. I'd say the falls is a great hike with kids.

Great trail for all ages. The views are spectacular!

Great easy trail with a payoff. Worth doing if you're in the area.

great short trail to the top and bottom of the falls. three kids and myself enjoyed this very much.

I am reading the reviews and kinda shocked that people think this is easy or boring! We did this hike in the rain today with two five year olds, two eleven year olds and three adults! I did 20 pound in my backpack and wore new boots (perfect hike to test them out)! The start of the trail is quite but starts gaining gradually and once you hit the switch back it’s a good climb! Lots of rocks to move over, streams, stairs (lots) and an awesome reward up at the end! We sat and enjoyed lunch at the falls and after made it down rather quickly! We intend to go back and make it up to the lake! I suggest this hike as it’s at the top of my list now but kids need more assistance with the larger rocks we had to climb! Over all I loved this hike & a great workout!!

My favorite for kids ages 4+ some steep hills but lots of resting spots.

It was beautiful and refreshing standing on the back of the fall!!!

Great view at the end because before you are surrounded by trees.

It’s okay, trail is pretty boring but steady until the last bit of climb. Falls are lovely.
