Oregon Map

Giant waterfalls where you can walk any distance from 0-20 miles. Good to view in the snow even, parking lot has been clear most of the time.

Here is a video of my time here:

Awesome trail - easy to follow, great beginner snowshoe, but spectacular views make it perfect for all levels of skill. Didn’t do the loop - just went out and back on the trail side, decided to nix the road section. Lots of fresh powder as of today, but it won’t last long!

This is a great winter get away!! Close to Bend and a good cross country ski!! On the weekend it is really crowded, but on the week day it is a good choice!! The views are spectacular and if you like waterfalls it is a must see!!

Went for a drive to find some snow and got to the trailhead so we decided to walk down to the first falls. Beautiful in the winter with the snow and ice. Sadly we did not have time to go to the other falls farther down because it was getting close to dark. This is a beautiful, shorter hike. You can also combined with Abiqua Falls that's not to far from this if you want more adventure.

short hike with a pair of waterfalls

Love this hike. About 6 inches of snow throughout the trail. Great spot!

Easy hike with a nice waterfall at the end. Also a little cave nearby you can venture in a bit. Nice easy hike, would be great for kids and dogs.

With the dry winter Oregon is having I decided to venture over the pass to do this hike. It was well worth it, despite how short it is. The color of the water is magnificent this time of year and the lack of the crowds made it even better. There was even a light dusting of snow. I would not recommend attempting this hike in the winter without proper safety equipment in your car, the winter is not typical. The trail will always be fine, the roads may vary.

Great short Hike!

Please park in usfs parking lot at trail head not in front of gate during winter months. Too many rigs block access to the home owners further down the road. Nice walk but respect those that live near by.

great trail except for the litter :)

This was an easy hike. Majority of it is walking up a gravel road but the scenery isn't horrible. Tried to get back to double falls but encountered to much ice on the trail. There is also a trail to get behind the falls and to the bottom

Definitely worth the hike. The hike is pretty easy and the waterfalls are incredible. Sahalie Falls is one of my all time favorites. The trail is heavily trafficked because of all the people passing by on the highway. Would definitely recommend it to anyone

Cool falls, but careful if your kids are swimming, there is a rusty car at the bottom of the pool. Looks like a frequent hangout for parties. Broken glass for several yards along the trail. Beer cans, etc.

Great short hike! Downhill and muddy right now (January) but not bad at all, just walk slow. Waterfall at the end is cool, you even get sprayed by it a little on the banks.

This is only a nature walk. No waterfalls on this side near the campground. It’s a good long walk from parking lot to get to this trail. But if you’re looking for an easy hike, this is for you.

Easy hike to go with family or friends if you have plans in the afternoon but want to go out in the morning. Stunning views along the way really elevate the light walking you'll be doing. Worth the trip out.

A nice little hike for all members of the family. A bonus is the two beautiful waterfalls. Respect the beauty of the forest and leave no trace.

This is a very nice trail for all members of the family. Respect the beauty of the forest and leave no trace.

Very short hike but beautiful falls that are worth the drive.

I love this forest and hike. Beautiful views and waterfalls. Highly recommended.

Very easy trail with nice reward at the end. Beautiful trees and scenery. It's very unfortunate that a small section of the trail is heavily littered. I gathered some on my way out as to try and leave things a little better than I came across it. If we all made a conscious effort every time we hike to do that, then maybe some day that area will be clean again.

Loved the view, this was an absolutely beautiful winter hike! I’d definitely recommend hiking past the top of the first falls, following the river for another mile or so to Double Falls. Level, flat and easy for a majority of the way, the last 1/4 mi to the top of the Falls provides a slight incline for children. The trail loop will begin on a service road, but the loop back was much more enjoyable, in the woods, and secluded. When you hit Silverlake Lodge at the end, the single road bridge next to it will bring you back to the start.

I really enjoyed the car ride there but I wish the hike was longer. The waterfalls were worth it if your there for an easy hike.

We hiked out and back along the road, in about 4-5 inches of snow. Very flat, easy hiking even with all the snow. Falls were gorgeous. Beautiful day. Our dog loved it too.

lovely hike with not a soul in sight!

Great hike, took a gentleman that I support out there and he had a great time. The very end of the trail right as you get to the falls is steep with parts of out washed out. As long as you are sure footed though it shouldn't be a problem. Took some great pictures.
