I absolutely loved hiking this trail, ended up hiking almost 13 miles to see the entire thing! So many beautiful waterfalls and you get to walk behind 4 of them which was incredible!! I highly recommend!!!

Short trail but perfect for kids. Challenging enough for the little ones and Nice waterfall at the end for the adults

This loop is not 4 miles, it’s more like 5.5! It was a great trail and I highly recommend it but if you were hoping for only 4 miles, you’ll be sad! Winter time is great, saw lots of waterfalls and not a lot of people out for a Saturday.

I hike this trail twice as a kid with girl scout camp. So beautiful! Time to go again

Such a beautiful hike on a crisp winter morning I recommend this hike to anyone! So many beautiful waterfalls

It's one of my favorite training Runs

Didn’t make it to the falls, vehicle was not sufficiently equipped for snow. The road leading to the falls is paved and narrow, and currently has a decent layer of ice and snow. Vehicles without snow tires or chains should proceed with extreme caution.

Did this during a wind storm on 7 December 2018. Reversing the route gave a much steeper ascent and is not recommend. Some of the trail is still beautiful, some waterfalls are amazing, but the essential beauty of several segments was lost to the fire.

Got there later in the afternoon so thankfully we missed all the tourist hikers.
Great for my 2 year old but again just too popular of a site to go more than once every few years.

Very interesting how the water flows out of the rocks.

I'm so sad that this trail is closed. I had some really amazing memories there.

Such a pretty hike, and the falls are amazing!

Great hike, tons of waterfalls. Beautiful scenery despite scorched landscape at certain points.

Hiked on Jan 1, 2019: no parking fee, no bathrooms at TH, well-marked trail, parking lot fills quickly on wknds, Trail closed/gated at Ponytail Falls. This was a quick beautiful hike (1.5 miles RT) to Ponytail Falls.

Beautiful beautiful hike!

Very good trail, would definitely do it again! Easy hike with young kids. Our 4 year olds walked the whole two miles and our 6 year olds said it wasn’t long enough. I suggest getting there early we showed up at about 10:30am and ran into a few big groups and a few individuals, however the parking lot was full when we got back and was filling on the side of the roads.

Trail is currently closed!!! Tried to take the pup here today but it’s all gated off!

Fun and semi easy 2 mile hike. Beautiful waterfall, but to get to the bottom of this fall, you will have to go down the steps at the end of the hike. There’s a nice waterfall half way up, which will definitely add value to the hike.

Super short and easy hike with a decent two tiered waterfall at the end. I recommend only going if you combine this outing with another hike in the Gorge, for example the Latourell falls.

Loved it but not as easy as it’s cited. The down can be tricky when wet and the back up is tough going unless you’re in good shape. Wanted to take my mom but there’s no way she could have done it so for that reason I wouldn’t call it an “easy” hike.

The hike was beautiful. My girlfriend and I hiked this trail during the summer and enjoyed every bit of the views and nature. We personally enjoyed the upper falls better than the lower falls on the loop trail due to the fact that there were a lot less people and you could just get a lot closer. The trail itself had a couple look out points which made it that much more rewarding. Both are beautiful falls though.

The waterfall is beautiful. I have gone there many times and every time it continues to blow my mind. The falls and hike change with the seasons. Beautiful beautiful.

Horsetail & Ponytail falls are beautiful this time of year, even though it was super cold. Be aware that this trail is a tad steep, but not too difficult. The trail to Triple Creek is closed still due to the fire, but the trail for Horsetail & Ponytail are open and clear.

Great trail, good challenge and great scenery. I recommend starting in the direction of Multnomah Falls, that way you can finish with fewer crowds of people.

Great winter hike !!

Loved it. Waterproof shoes were a must since waterfalls actually passed over the trails (day after rain in December). Absolutely gorgeous and not too busy, but not entirely isolated - I did it alone so it was nice to occasionally see some people.

If you don't like edges, don't do this waterfall hike!!

I'd been to this trail several times during the summer, but never during the winter, and wow... go during the winter months! The trails aren't as packed, and the waterfalls are flowing with so much more water! Bring a waterproof jacket though because when you go under the falls the mists are so strong that you may get soaked. Excellent hike that I will keep going back to.

Good New Year’s Eve hike, snow was very picturesque!

i went out a couple weeks ago, and could not drive to the bottom. i have a lil sedan, so i just pulled off the side of the road and parked. even parking a ways up, the hike was totally worth it! the road down is a lovely walk.
