The perfect spot for a long walk and lots of waterfalls. We took our time and hiked this easy loop for about 3 hours.

Hiked this trail yesterday on a whim. It was really fun and really dramatic. Although it started off temperate and spitting rain, as the elevation climbed and I rose into the clouds it started snowing and the wind picked up. There wasn’t much in the way of views but that’s only because of the thickness of the clouds. Still some snow at the top. It’s manageable, just take your time. Will definitely be back to try this one again.

Have done this hike many times and enjoyed it each time! A very fun short hike with a wonderful view!

Beautiful trail, today it was a quiet and peaceful day, almost no other people arround. We only met some fishermen, and a bunch of teenagers enjoying nature within their tents.

Beautiful! Muddy, so bring three right shoes. No complaints from me on a sunny day!

Love this hike! Gorgeous views! Great at Fall time! Don't miss nearby Bybee falls located further up the road!

I've summited several peaks and I won't do this one again...too hot in August (which is really the only time it's not snow packed) due to sun exposure and reflection! Typically smoky this time of year which creates difficulty breathing and seeing the views...a lot of scree at the peak, dangerous and crowded as there is only a cement platform where the lookout used to be...then of course the difficulty with finding the correct route out on the descent...so many have gotten lost and ended up on the PCT...Also a very steep trail in the open...Love Theilsen, Bailey and Union peaks! I recommend those instead!

undeniably the most gorgeous waterfall I have seen in person. And I've seen a few...
there is also great 4 wheel drive/atv/motocross trails in the area (you'll drive right by these, so keep your eye open)

Great place one of the best on the coast. You can take the very easy level hike or a nice big crazy one.
The view is amazing.

Beautiful hike, think the distance was about 8.5 miles, but certainly didn't feel like that when there's beautiful waterfalls to see so frequently. Some parts of the trail were pretty muddy, so my waterproof hiking boots were appreciated (leave the runners at home)

What a great hike! This trail was everything we had hoped for. We had a beautiful sunny day today. A little muddy especially for the first 1.5 mile or so, but well worth the mud and the effort! Not too easy, but not too hard, and the views once you get to the meadow are amazing! It was about 5.5 miles from the parking lot to the top and it’s uphill most of the way there. I highly recommend this trail, you won’t be disappointed! Wear hiking boots if you have them.

Nice easy trail (little muddy in spots). Appreciated the suspension bridge and the waterfall.

Must pay to park; no prepaid park passes can be used. Make sure to pay at Fish Creek even if you park one car at Indian Henry. Trail is narrow and steep in some places but maintained well. Made passing others challenging in most areas especialyl with dogs. One large creek crossing with no bridge was extremely difficult in March. Trail is adjacent to the Hwy, some powelines, and you can hear the buzz from the electrical plant. Parking was full, we had to step through large amounts of garbage to get to the restroom.

Love this place! So beautiful.

Beautiful view of the falls but trails are closed I heard till April. Sad I didn’t get to do the hike!

My absolute favorite hike, but I can’t stress enough to bring an SUV! The walk down to the trail head isn’t bad it’s having the 2.5 mile walk back up a rocky road after, luckily enough people are great and offered us to hitch a ride in their truck bed on the way back. That said, hope you’re prepared to get wet and muddy!

We planned to hike Saddle Mountain last weekend, but the report about knee-deep snow made us reschedule. We hiked Sunday, March 11. Arrived at trailhead around 9:00 am. Parking wasn’t an issue at that time. The first mile is snow-free, but there’s still a considerable amount of snow on the trail once you pass the first rocky lookout. The snow was slushy and very slippery in places. I was thankful to have my microspikes. Unless you are very surefooted, I felt microspikes were necessary. I saw several people take a few spills. Just read on the news this morning that the Coast Guard had to rescue someone who slipped on the snow last night. As we were coming down, a lot of people headed up did not look prepared for the snow they would encounter. Be safe out there! Overall, it was a great day though, with clear views of all the peaks. We finished just as the trail was starting to get very crowded, so if you plan to head out in the next few days, be prepared for the snow and try to arrive early.

Holy cow! What a beautiful hike. The suspension bridge was amazing! Falls were absolutely stunning!

Why not spend the night?
We went up in late September and no one was around by the time the sun when down. There are some awesome camp site along the Exposed Ridge area, about 1/2 mile away from the Falls, right next to Ramona Creek.
This is an easy hike, nice areas to camp, and only 75 mins from Portland. Great for a quick, late summer get away.

Short easy hike. Very crowded. Amazing waterfall. In order to enjoy this hike, snow spikes or hiking boots for icy and snowy surface is required. In my opinion, snowshoes are a little bit overkill.

Really a gorgeous hike. Snow was covering the trail so leave your nikes at home and hike with good traction shoes. Spectacular view at the end of this trail!

Did the trail with 4 adults & 5 young kids. So fun. About an hour to there and and hour back. Beautiful perfect family outing. $5 day use parking fee. Don’t be fooled by long country road, this is a heavily used trail. Might want to come early so you can find parking.

Knowing some tips about this trail will make your life a lot easier. Go with a friend who has been there before. And plan to get wet and dirty.

Amazing reward at the end!

I like this place because the waterfalls are pretty and they have a nice picnic area but ONLY if you go w/o a dog will you be able to enjoy going under the falls and the other fun trails because they aren't allowed. so if you have one you'll be stuck on only 1 trail that doesn't have very much scenery except trees and the road and maybe a top of a waterfall here and there it gets kinda BLAH after a while.

The water here is the prettiest blue to turquoise.

The water fall was really pretty and the view from the suspension bridge But this place gets SUPER crowded after a certain time so try to go as EARLY as possible because it just gets annoying when the crowd piles up.

Do it!

Fantastic hike, gorgeous in every way, waterfalls, lush greenery, flowers, mushrooms, moss, all that's missing are the little fairies :) Took us about 5-6 hrs, just what we needed.

Great hike with great views. Climbed March 4th with no special snow gear. The few feet of snow on the top third of the hike was hard and easily walked on. One of my favorite hikes during my stay in the PNW.

My first hike. I’m not in great shape and found this trail to be relatively easy. Beautiful, peaceful, and perfect weather. Wasn’t busy on the Monday afternoon we went.
