Did this hike today and it was awesome. Worth the drive from Bend. We went on past Fall Creek Falls up to Vivian Lake. We were early enough that we had the whole Lake to ourself, found the sand bar that lets you walk to the middle of the lake and took a swim. In the end it was 9.4 miles total. Definitely a must see.

love this trail. easy to follow. challenging to do.

Tough hike but worth the effort.

Fun hike. Started at Indian Beach parking lot and did the Tillamook Head out & back. The trail is a little muddy in places but it’s a rain forest so no big surprise. I’d wear some sort of hiking or trail shoe/boot just for the added traction.

Great trai

Beautiful views and falls. Well marked and paved. Was bummed the trail was closed at the bridge. Still worth seeing the falls. Parking was a breeze because we went early.

The falls are beautiful. The hike was easy but not a lot to see along the way which made it more difficult in my mind. Would probably hike from PCT if I were to go to Ramona again.

Our family of 4 completed this hike today and loved it (about 3.5 hours including a 20 min lunch). It wasn't very difficult, very pretty and the return trail on the lollipop was definitely our favorite. The falls have a unique look which was very nice. The round trip distance with my GPS watch was 6.87 miles from the trailhead. Also you must get a day pass from town, you can't get it at the trailhead. Loved it!

The road was closed 10 miles away from the start of the trail 8/18/18

I can't imagine a more beautiful hike. Not so much of a workout at the pace we went, stopping so many times for photos and to enjoy the views, but worth every second. If you are at all considering this, do it. You'll be so glad you did. (But start out early, especially on the weekend--it will get crowded.)

Good, steep in places hike with amazing views

Scenic views of waterfalls are plentiful on this hike. It didn't feel hard but one does need to be prepared for the distance. It was heavily trafficked on a midday Saturday – so don't expect a solitary experience – but that is to be expected. North Falls are worth the extra distance.

This is a difficult but fun trek up to a beautiful summit. The last bit is a challenge but the 360 degree view is incredible and well worth it. We saw a lot of wild flowers, berries and fungi along the way and made several photo stops as the view is spectacular at several points along the way. Bring water and sunblock, there’s a good portion out from under the trees.

Beautiful views! Very busy trail and lots of tree roots to walk over. Inclines were not bad at all. Get there early because the parking gets full.

Short easy-moderate hike with breathtaking views. Great for kids and lots of shady spots on top for picnics. Well worth the morning.

Was great for swimming and hiking, I did it with 3 kids 14, 8, 6, water was beautiful and clear. Got there early and the parking lot was half full after we got back it was jam packed. Overall it was a really great hike.

Well paved and easy walk up to the bridge. Well maintained.

What an amazing hike,
Theres a huge Creek and such geometrical forms on the trail,
It was the perfect weather and great sunrise to watch

Prepare to get wet! Fantastic hike along and in a creek. Beautiful scenery as you hike through a canyon, climb over a huge log jam and wade through the water to reach a cascading waterfall at the end of your hike. Highly recommend!

Too many folks.

Trail is very steep in certain areas. Make sure to read previous reviews on how to get there and it is definitely worth it. We followed ROG's review and saved a ton of time.

Took us a little while to find the trailhead because we accidentally passed it and were looking past the campgrounds. The trailhead is right next to the first place you can get a wilderness pass. There's a second spot by the campgrounds which we made the mistake of going to. The trail was beautiful, just hard enough but not too hard and the view was amazing. Very busy trail though, lots of people to pass and let pass.

Trail was muddy and a bit crowded for a weekday but we enjoyed the hike and the views!

Great hike! GO EARLY if you want peace, quiet, and tranquility. We encountered a lot of large loud groups on our way out late morning. Trail is moderately easy but do recommend good shoes as it is long. Forest is stunning and the water crystal clear!

Beautiful views! Trekking poles are a definite help past the first lookout point where the trail is pretty muddy and you have to traverse significant sections of large roots. This section comprises a good third of the trail and is doable without poles if you take your time. I brought my poles but let my friend use them. Half the people we passed on the trail saw the poles and commented that they wish they had a pair. I know it’s the coast but this is not a trail to do in your sandals. With all of the trail disruption from roots, mud and rock I wouldn’t even recommend tennis shoes. You are best to have something with traction and ankle support if you are going the whole way. When I arrived the parking lot was empty. When I got back to my car it was full. Please be courteous and park head in. Several cars had parked along the curb and this took up two parking spaces. Additionally if you are bringing dogs or young children, use caution. As we were returning I came upon two young children standing at the edge of the cliff. Mom eventually came up behind them... but remember that the trail can be forest one minute and the next walking along a sheer drop off. I am a dog lover but please be responsible when bringing your dog. A leash is required and is a good start but the trail can get very narrow and busy. Please remember that in those tight spaces other hikers are forced to be in close proximity to your dog. It would be courteous to stand between your dog and other hikers. My daughter was attacked by a german shepherd and had a fear of dogs for a long time... todays hike would have been a terror for her because so many dogs that were leashed were still almost on top of us. Also just a few more points of helpful information. My favorite views were along the way. The end lookout is fabulous but if you are expecting to see both the beaches north and south of the peninsula you will be disappointed. Expect a sweeping view of the Pacific but limited to straight out and to the south. Also, we were only one of two groups when we arrived at the end. There is a small bench that can accommodate 3-4 people which is where we sat down to have our lunch. But as we left we passed so many that were inbound that I am sure the area at the end of the trail filled up fast.

Easy trail, well paved, quite a bit of incline. The river that flows into the waterfall at the top is very fun to play in. The water is nice and cold to cool you off after the hike.

Panoramic view at the top was spectacular and only took about an hour to hike up. Definitely a good way to spend some time.

Total disappointment. While people have posted some beautiful pics of the gorge, if you follow the loop trail indicated by alltrails, you will see nothing remotely worthwhile. I am moving out if state next week and choose this hike as my last one based on all the great reviews. What a waste. Wish I had known what trail to take or continue on to actually reach a scenic view.

Great hike. more than we expected but Ramona Falls was worth it!

great trail! worth the hike is suggest wearing hiking boots or sneakers. I wore chacos and my feet were fine just SUPER dirty at the end.
carry lots of water with you!
if you go on a warm /hot day wear swim gear so you go in the lake.
