Absolutely breathtaking views and amazing perspective of the falls. A lot of falls have walkways behind the falls. Definitely one of my favorite hikes of all time!

Absolutely beautiful. I went with my husband & daughter in the summer. Be sure to take plenty of water. I'm going again with a friend in October. should be pretty in Fall. Highly recommend it.

Did the upper caves (the challenging ones) and absolutely adored it. It gets a bit challenging in some parts but I wouldn’t consider it very hard. I enjoyed all the way.
I would recommend wearing a nice coat since the temperature is Lower downt there and definitely two sources of light (head lamp and flashlight will do) some light gloves might be helpful as well and I wouldn’t take kids younger than 8 or 9 (not only for the physical part but the fact that it’s completely dark and might find it scary)

By the way, you will need a permit in dashboard of the car to park in the lot.

Definitely an hour well spent, but the views from the top were obstructed by trees. We spent more time admiring the views from the trail than we did at its peak.

Very muddy. Honestly thought the viewpoints were breathtaking, the finish was mehh. Looking back I may have missed something at the end.

Did both caves. Did this hike without hiking baby. And I would never do this with hiking baby. Helmet is a good idea for upper trail. Recommend 2 sources of light. 1 for use 1 for backup. You do not want to be in the upper cave without light. Rope is installed for 8ft climb. Was completely alone on upper cave. Honestly not smart to do upper cave alone. Learned my lesson on that one. I am a big guy and there is a lot of tight spaces. But I did it with a camera bag and backpack. Was alone for most of the lower cave.

Nice easy fairly short hike with amazing views! After some rain it was pretty muddy, but not too crazy. Get there early as by mid day there was no parking left. Definitely worth it!

Amazing

Perfect mix of challenge for all ages. Nice mix of terrain. Great view.

It was beautiful trail inside and out. We had our 1 year old son on my husband's back and were able to do about 95% of the cave until it was just too small to crawl through with a child on your back. the terrain is a but rough for a child under 4 to walk. We loved it.

Beautiful hike, enjoyed the falls very invigorating

Nice loop hike with manageable elevation gain. We started at the South Falls trailhead and went counterclockwise, which I would recommend. The first part of the Rim Trail runs next to the road, so we were glad to get that out of the way first.
We didn’t know about the trail running event this weekend, which meant a full parking lot and lots of muddy, cold people. We were expecting a lot of other people, but not that many. We almost turned around, but are glad we didn’t. Fortunately most of the runners had finished by the time we hit the trail.
It was a cloudy day, but the falls are still amazing.

Great hike you can do in different loops depending on how much time and effort you can make. 1 mile, 2.6 miles, 5 miles, etc. we did the 2.6 mile loop and it was beautiful. We saw 2 falls

Nice hike and views on a clear day! Amazing two guys built this in 3 yrs. The hired technical guy was buried in the little cemetery east of the rock, left on hot springs rd for the rest of the story.

One of the most beautiful sights to see in Oregon.

Super easy hike. The lower cave is very roomy and it’s a clear path back and out. It was a surreal experience as a first time cave-goer. My only complaint is that a duo near us had clearly been disregarding the signs not to smoke cigarettes in the cave. Without the side of fresh air, it felt like we were walking through an ashtray most of the way.

We went to the side of the upper cave. We reached a point where it seemed like it ended, so we turned around. When we were finished and left the caves and referred to the maps...we realized we hadn’t pushed on far enough and there was more to the upper cave. Will definitely go back to try it out.

Good lights- yes...I went cheap on a headlamp and it wasn’t quite bright enough for my liking

It was quite wet and drippy in there...a raincoat was nice to have.

Good, sturdy shoes. The ground is quite uneven.

Awesome day 10/28/28....a bit of rain filled the streams and falls were amazing.

Great fall color in the forest. I did it counter clockwise so it was an easy walk with less crowds.

Great hike for all fitness levels. When you reach the end of the trail keep walking towards the end of the peninsula to find a hidden trail that will lead you all the way to a private hidden section with incredible views.

Breathtaking views! Pretty crowded, especially the first few waterfalls (lots of people stopping for photos), but the farther you go, the less people there are. You can walk behind a couple of the waterfalls, and those areas usually have large puddles of water and can be pretty muddy so heads up! I highly recommend this hike, it's drop-dead gorgeous!

Beautiful. Easy hike. Park at the Sandy beach parking lot and walk under the bridge to the beach. This part follows a creek and can be crowded with surfers in wet suits carrying their surfboards. The trail is paved to the beach. Turn right at the map on the beach and head up the trail to the lookout. watch out for roots and slippery spots. Hiking poles are a good idea. Bring a windbreaker. It can be windy at the top. The views are absolutely breathtaking.

didn’t expect to do this underground cave today because we didn’t have proper lights. we were just going to hang out by the entrance to take pictures, but got so excited and amused by the scenes that we decided to carry on the upper (more difficult) trail using our iphones as lights. highly suggest using head lamps as you want your hands free. it’s flat rock at time, but there are a lot of boulders you need to climb.

i liked entering through the main cave entrance and taking the ground trail back to the parking lot. if i did it vice versa i would’ve probably been more uneasy taking the cave back.

it was my first cave experience / hike, but overall, i highly recommend.

Did this hike on Friday morning. Got there 10 minutes before 8am right when they opened the gate. Glad I got there early as by the time I finished the loop it was there was a lot of people going in. Beautiful hike!

Ill give this one 4 stars, but only because of the Rooty trail. Yes the trail is full of roots! But, if you persist you will be rewarded with an amazing view at the end at Falcon Point, 360 view of the ocean where you will be able to see the rock formations of the other points on either side. We stopped at Short Sands beach to dip our feet in the water and it was a perfect spot to end the hike.
