This place is amazing. Make sure not to hike in flip flops. I witnessed someone falling off the ladder because they did it in flip flops. This hike is kid friendly. The second ladder needs fixed. They charge you $8 to hike it and an additional $1 per hiker to process your card. So it's really $9....so dumb but the hikes worth it.

Very busy, scenery is nice. Expect waiting for shuttle back. Iconic sight Zion NP.

Had a wonderful hike with our family. Park for free and pay $8 per person for entrance. We went up both ladders and continued beyond the area where groups gather to play in the pool and slide down the waterfall/rock slide. We went probably another 0.5 miles up the creek -- probably the most scenic parts of the slot canyons with vertical walls and amazing colors and we had it all to ourselves. The ladders were tricky but manageable -- we had an adult go up and down right below our youngest (8 and 9). The ladder steps were placed fairly widely so it helped to have someone close to help with foot placement. We were there mid-July and enjoyed the cool water -- everyone was fine in water sandals (e.g, Keens)

Loved this hike! So beautiful and peaceful!! Bring water shoes!! Water is cold but refreshing! Pretty slippery too! We trail ran on the way back! Very easy! I don’t know how people bring small kids to hold though, I needed both hands to hold myself up in rocks and getting up the ladder! Very nice to take your time and enjoy the stream and waterfall!

Awesome hike, not sure when it ends though.

Being from Birmingham makes this hike even better. I can still enjoy nature while also being close to home! The trail is filled with flowers and unique creatures! The quarry view is gorgeous but my favorite view is the one of downtown. Super cool.

Our group ranged in age from 4 to 69, avid hikers to couch potatoes and everyone LOVED it!!! We all would do it again!

great hike, did it with my 5 year old.

stop at the sweet spot for pan it and drinks.

Scenic. We hiked in the afternoon which was ideal as it was shaded. Majestic views all around! We hiked from the 6th tram stop back down to the 5th. Enjoyable.

Did this one in August 2015. Brutally hot weather, but otherwise great hiking conditions.

The hike up to "base camp" was spectacular - beautifully maintained trails, pleasant elevation gain, and uninterrupted views of the canyon. I would recommend that first leg of the hike to most anybody.

The actual Angel's Landing climb is a completely different beast. Between the heat, the treacherous drop-offs, and the altitude, it was an intense hour or so. The view from the point, though, is fantastic - panoramic views of the canyon and its technicolored rock walls complimented by a dozen or so California Condors circling overhead.

A very memorable experience, and a worthy member of the hiker's hall of fame.

Bucket list river hike into the narrows. Walking stick recommended, can rent them just outside park. Fun, wet + beautiful.

Is this open yet? I am surprised to see comments from people even this week

This was maybe one of the most fun hikes I’ve done to date!!

Mentally tough but rewarding hike.

Gorgeous and the water is a welcome cool off. Be prepared for crowds though.

Great and easy walk. Recommend getting there early. Great views and people watching. People, please don't try to do this thing barefoot, I saw 4 people at the start trying to walk barefoot in the river... They probably didn't make it far. Buy some sandals or watershoes. Also, in general at zion don't bother with camping in the park, it stays so hot there in the summer months. Ask one of the park employees for dispersed camp zones. Stayed in one surrounding a lake and it was beautiful

Very fun trail even at only 1.4 miles. The steep climb to the top will let you know what kind of shape you're in and the views are nice, I enjoy it every time I hike it.

Hard hike but worth every minute!

i love this hike. not for non hikers.

Absolutely amazing! Breathtaking and worth every step!

People are insanely unprepared for this hike. Energy levels are showing way to low and the main hike to the top hasn't even started. The chains are a huge help, but this isn't for the average "walker" or tourist in a pair of snickers. You must be prepared for this, hydrated and the proper footwear. Seriously people! no more near misses- this trail will close permanently

One of my favorite trails!

This is just so fun. Make sure you have good shoes (that you're ok getting wet) the water is cold pretty much no matter when you go and the rocks in combo with the cold water will kill your feet.

This s one of my favorite hikes of all time!! I've done it several times. Incredible!!!!!I would recommend going early in the morning ( at least in the summer) the sun can be pretty brutal.

This is a great hike! Fairly shaded most of the way, which is nice when it's hot! This hike is best in the summer because of the falls at the end is very temperature cool, and I would recommend water shoes or hiking sandals because you will walk through the water. It's a really fun hike, very beautiful place!

It's funny to hike with chains in the hand, but don't too worry about the danger. Just be careful. Actually the most difficult part is before reaching the cliff, as it's very steep. When you hike with chains, you always need to stop to wait for others in the opposite direction, so will not be very tired.

A easy hiking to the river, with the mode of expectation of hiking in the river!

A lovely hike if you're looking for a trail that takes you by (and in) water. It'll cool you off a little if you're a summer hiker.

Very cool experience hiking up the river. Would have been a little easier if the water wasn't so muddy. Definitely get there early morning to avoid the crowds. We were headed back out around 12:30 and the amount of people just entering was mind blowing, especially since all the flash flood warning suggest being out of the narrows by early afternoon. Way too many people for my liking.

Love this hike. What a find just a few miles off the 15. Well worth the $9 entrance fee.

Easiest to jump in the creek and follow it up the canyon. Perfect for summer afternoon. Tracked it at approx. 2.7 miles and 1 hour to the 2nd ladder but I was moving at fairly quick pace. Appears trail continues quite a distance past the 2nd ladder with even taller canyon walls at some point but had to turn back before sunset. Will definitely return.
