Awesome place to visit. The moss is literally covering almost all you see and the dense colors of green are incredible! Highly recommend visiting

great views of North and South sound

This was an amazing trail! It was a constant workout on the way up, but only two miles, so not too bad. The trail is in great condition! Almost all of the snow was gone, just a little bit at the north view point. Both views were breath taking! Coming down was tough on my knees even with poles, but still loved the hike!

Found a pair of glasses on my way down from this hike today (3/15/18). anyone lose a pair? they are thin lenses and a pretty strong prescription!

Wonderful climb but you need to be in shape to keep a low heart rate! Ropes are a little ways after the sign that marks "end of maintained trail." To challenge those you are required to be in extreme physical shape for maximum results.

Gorgeous trail! We did this on a sunny day in March and it was perfect, plenty of traffic but not enough that it felt crowded

Very good hike. I would say moderate to strenuous. Views on top are amazing, mountains on the North view and beautiful views of Hood Canal on South view about another half mile.

One of the best trails in Washington! The scenery is breathtaking on the top.
A little icy the last part of the trails so microspikes were helpful.

Long drive from the Seattle area. Went in early March. The trail is 1/2-1 mile long downhill. When you get to the bottom there’s many different trails you can explore leading to different views of the caves and ocean. Trail was slightly muddy so boots would be advised unless you don’t care about getting your shoes dirty.

Amazing hike. It started snowing a little bit but not too bad. Incline almost the entire way, and kind of sketchy towards the top with the ropes. Once you see that view it is totally worth it!

It was a beautiful trail. Would love to go back in a few months to see all the wild rhododendrons in bloom.

Man, it was cold!! Stayed at Five Mile Island for a couple nights. Really loved this campsite- open space, outhouse available, didn't see bear ropes for food tho but could have missed it, right next to the river, lots of flat camping options. Ran into a herd of about 30 Elk. Attempted to continue on the trail but the snow became more dense - highly encourage micro spikes for this. Decided suffering through the cold (even though my sleeping bag is 20 degrees and I was wearing 4 layers) wasn't very fun. Will definitely attempt to reach the glacier at another time.

Really awesome views. We had to turn back about .3 miles short of the top because of some snow that we hadn’t anticipated. But if you go this time of year and you have shoes with good grip, you’ll be fine! Lots of inclines!

Nice short hike with 2 cool bridges to cross. Water is crystal clear.

Beautiful hike would recommend bringing a map some of the trails are not naked very well did the maple valley loop too. The waterfalls were wonderful to see and the trail was well maintained even for winter.

Great hike, didn’t go all the way up seeing as we’re not in our best shape and we ran into slippery snow and forgot spikes. expect a solid 2 miles of all up hill. Plan to try again soon though. Tough enough to slow me down and take breaks, but not so tough that it was impossible.

very easy and well maintained. Also incredibly beautiful!

this one is fairly easy, pretty but also very beautiful to see all the green and the water, fresh water at that. I've taken my granddaughter up there she's 6 months old it was just beautiful and didn't take very long

this is an amazing hike to be able to see different bodies of water it definitely is a really hard hike and the end is really scary and very excited that I was able to do such a hike

I live by this hike and it's my favorite I do it year round. I've seen all ages do this hike

The drive from Port Angeles was very long. The beautiful weather when we left wasn't nearly as beautiful when we got there. The hike was short and sweet. Not too difficult. the views were amazing. We can say that we have seen them but not sure I'd do it again.

beautiful scenery year-round. i highly recommend a visit in mid Autumn though for the myriad of colors and depth throughout the trail.

A nice walk through the forest with a number of small water falls and creeks along the trail. There are some elevation gains at the beginning but it smooths out afterward. A quick a and a half hike.

I’d say this is more hard than moderate. It’s 10-20% grades and 2,000 elevation gain at 2 miles up and another 2 down. I’d say poles or a walking stick would be a good idea. Look up the weather conditions before you go, it was a whiteout when I got to the top.

Absolutely stunning. Easy trail, with a charming wood plank trail to look outs around the cape. The most beautiful place to watch the sunset.

It was nice and beautiful but to windy at the top!

Beautiful! Super nice and easy!!

Beautiful hike. One of the better ones I've done. Make sure to bring snow gear and do the winter pass (right at the fork).

Good hike, very steep, as a averagely fit 23 year old the way up is definitely challenging and very steep without many breaks, the way down will definitely hurt if you don’t have the right shoes and a walking stick. The South point gives a nice view of Seattle as well!

Feb 11 - Great view up top on a sunny day. Wish there wasn’t a fence. Worth walking to the south viewpoint as well. Crampons not needed, only a small amount of packed snow at top.
