Hike it early or late in the day if you want more serenity but I feel it’s a must do if you’re nearby. The trees and moss are just incredible, if you do it right you’ll be moved by the aura of this place. Take your time.

Great hike. It was not easy to walk because there where al lot of loose stones on the beach. But its worth it.

The view is worth it! The trail is overgrown in many areas and a few downed trees to navigate but completely worth the view!

Ruby beach is absolutely stunning! The sand is very soft to walk on and there are also many rocks on the beach to climb to get that Instagram photo. The water is the Pacific Ocean so it is a bit cold but not unbearable to go for a dip. I’ve been to this beach twice and loved it each time.

I would call this more of a leisure walk, not a hike. Very good for small kids and older outdoor enthusiasts. Saw a couple small deer walk out into the meadow, obviously not afraid of people that were on the trail. Paved trail the whole way, but a nice walk. Nice views!!

Nice hike with good shade from the tall tress. Unfortunately we didn't make it to the end because there was very fresh bear scat on the trail about 1.2 miles into it. Decided to turn around and not risk it. Trail starts in a very nice campground with the nicest bathroom I've ever seen in a campground. There were a lot of downed trees but that's nature.

Absolutely beautiful! The walk was wonderful and doing it counterclockwise meant we saved the best canyons views for last.

Nice little hike. There is a lot of elevation gain once you get to the waterfall in the form of stairs mostly but wasn't bad. I saw an old man with a cane doing it. I love the bridge made from a local tree.

Did this hike last week in the rain. Was still a great hike even in the rain. It was a bit crowded compared to some other trails, but a must do. Beautiful plants and trees during the hike. Nice waterfall at the end. Very easy hike.

Beautiful trail with bridges, tunnels and waterfall. Very easy until the very end there are a few steps to climb up to see the falls.

Very enjoyable walk along the beach. Lots of cool big driftwood up on the beach. Some nice tidepools right before and right after hole-in-the-wall. Lots of mussels, snails and starfish in the tidepools. The day we went it rained off and on but was still very enjoyable. There were lots of campers there. Beware of small pockets of "quicksand" both me and my wife stepped in some and went up past our ankles, got socks wet. Make sure to go at low tide, check tide charts online.

Really gorgeous, steep hike. There were 2 sections of switchbacks. The first set are not long, but extremely steep. The 2nd set are pretty long, but managable. There are many bees, but they are busy with more important things. We saw tons of wildflowers, lots of chipmunks, plenty of deer, at least 30 goats, and these animals that looked like giant groundhogs. Once you get to the summit, all the hard work really pays off. Fog had rolled in and made us feel like we were in the clouds! Will definitely be returning.

Good trail gets progressively steeper as you go. a few nice views along the way but probably the best 4500 foot viewpoint in the state on top. may be best selection of berries too. a definite "must do" in spite of its low elevation.

Overcrowded, extremely easy.

It was an easy hike, my 6 yrs. old son didn’t complain at all. It is a 1.5 miles from Lake Crescent Lodge. Old trees are beautiful. Thumbs up for those that worked hard to maintain the trails. Five star all in all.

Perfect hike for finding swimming holes!

Cool beach.

Exceeded expectations

Whew! The inclines were never ending but that’s the joys of summiting mountains! I brought my six year old with me. We did some frequent stops and I put him on my back for a lil bit because I was impatient to summit. He did absolutely great throughout the whole trail. Hit the trail around 10 am. At noon it started to get a little busy. Lots of dogs on this trail, they love it.

The only bummer was the fog. Did not get to see the view. But super proud of my kiddo for completing his first “moderate” hike!

Busy easy hike. Beautiful waterfall!

Did this with my 8-year old granddaughter and son and we all had lots of fun!!

Short, easy trail to a beautiful waterfall. Numerous No Pet signs, but we encountered two fellow hikers who thought they were "special". Each had dogs! Folks, rules exist for a reason. We called each of these gentlemen out for their wrongdoing, but neither cared at the moment. We need to be the stewards of these beautiful areas! Oh, mosquitoes were minimal today.

Probably would’ve given this 4 stars if it weren’t for the crowds. The trail is short and easy, so it’s hard to spread out from others, especially at the end. The trail is very pretty though, although we found the trail 7-8 miles before it off the road to be nicer just in terms of serenity as well the rainforest type scenery (the name escapes me).

It was nice, very easy little hike out to the lookout decks.

This is such a beautiful area. We loved wandering through the rainforest with our three kids: 6,4,2

This was fun. The kids enjoyed it. So did we :)

easy short hike to beautiful falls, the mosquitos/flys were bad (use bug repellent or where long sleeves.) this is a very well maintained, very trafficked trail. visited during a Monday afternoon at the end of July and the trail / parking lot were packed.

It is muddy and slippery in some places, but the view points at the end are spectacular. We got to see nesting Murres and listen to their cute calls.
