Beautiful beach, easy hike. Great way to spend on the beach if the weather is clear. The trails is easy and the beach has plenty of spots to check out.

There is a river adjacent to where the beach access is. The river flows into the sea and stopped many people from continuing N up the beach. A couple of girls rolled up their pants and carried their shoes to cross. Its doable, just not something most people wanted to do on a cold , rainy day. We went around low tide. Didn’t find anything in the tidepools. Found a dead whale on the beach which was depressing. Found many crabs or pieces of crabs. Not sure why this beach is beautiful. Found Rialto Beach much more intriguing.

Great for kids! Just the right length and easy. Just North of the Lake Cushman campgrounds.

Came here on 09/10 at like 11am. Weather was perfect. Definitely congested in the parking lot but wasn’t so bad once we got down to the beach. Not so much a hike but just a beautiful place to hang for a bit and drink your coffee.

This hike was pretty out of the way down a winding irritating roads that never ends it seems. Also, there are a decent amount of people here so you aren’t really ever alone. This is such an absolutely magical place. We were here on 09/09 in the afternoon. Was kind of an overcast day but that didn’t have any affect on the beauty. We had binoculars on us and that made this one of my Fiancé’s favorite parts of our trip. There was a far off rock covered in seals that were jumping on and off the rock and you could see swimming around. Kind of cool to see them in the wild.

Came here on 09/08 a little later in the afternoon. The sun was out as we started our drive up but was getting cloudy as we approached the top. As a result we didn’t get to see the Mountain View’s as the visibility was very low. Also the Hurricane Hill trail was closed which was a surprise and a bummer since when we paid to get in at the beginning of this road they mentioned Hoh Rainforest being closed but not this (Why bring up a closure on the other side of the park but not the one we are headed to??). There was a short .5 loop hike we did on a ridge that begins at the start of the right side of the parking lot called High Ridge Trail. It was nice but started to get slippery and windy and cold by the time we finished. We should have tried to go the next morning as it seemed a bit clearer from Port Angeles but that’s a long drive both ways and it didn’t seem worth it with no guarantee of sunshine/visibility. Moral of the story make sure you check on trail closures and don’t attempt this if the weather isn’t great. Will be much better off in a lower elevation hike where visibility isn’t an issue like in the clouds. Maybe again some day we will get to see it all.

This was a nice easy hike that was pretty beautiful the whole way. The waterfalls were gorgeous. We went on 09/09 at like 10am. It was sort of a rainy day which maybe helped as there weren’t too many people. We actually had some time completely alone by the lookouts over the falls which doesn’t sound typical. On the drive in we stopped at the first pullout that had a bathroom. Ended up being a little path to a small waterfall overlook that was nice as well you should check out if you are in the area.

Stopped here 09/09. Was one other car in the parking lot but didn’t see anyone. Not really a hike at all if that’s what you are looking for because I think the falls are like 50 ft from the parking lot but it was easy to get here and it was worth it for a quick stop to see the falls and also across from where you park it opens up to a river with nice views. So I wouldn’t go really out of the way for this specifically, especially if you are short on time but if you are in the area and it isn’t sacrificing anything else I’d say it’s worth a stop.

Nice, easy, short trail. Lots of interesting trees and a cool bridge. Be sure to take the short detour to see Big Cedar Tree. It’s no longer standing but still awesome. Don’t forget to climb in the roots for a cool pic!

Pretty good hike! Has some nice river views and the elevation gain was enough to break a sweat. The loop goes up first if you go clockwise from the campground. Follow all our adventures on Instagram @themicrotourists

Magical hike through the rainforest. I never tire of how the light flickers in and out and highlights the beauty of these special woods.

Hard to describe how special and beautiful this beach is. We were visiting from Philadelphia and Ruby Beach left us speechless. Originally planned on an hour here but spent close to 4 exploring and watching the tide come in. I think about this afternoon all the time.

Awesome hike!!! Beautiful scenic hike through the forest until you arrive at the gorgeous secluded beach. So glad we made the drive out to it. Really fabulous!

Did this trail in the pouring rain but was still absolutely beautiful!!

So beautiful... tons of hikes and camping. This is a must see!!!

Beautiful hike! It's about a mile out and a mile back and very scenic the whole hike with amazing views in the middle and at the end. A little up and down, wood planks cover part of the trail with exposed tree roots on a dirt trail. Trying to be very specific for people who may have joint issues. I have trekking poles and that really helped my knees A LOT! The drive there is rather tedious.... Lots of switch backs, very long. I definitely recommend this, but this driving at night (I did) is scary.

Totally worth it!

Nice little hike, water is a clear blue, pretty area

It was breathtaking.

THIS IS CLOSED - NOT ACCESSIBLE AS OF SEPTEMBER 11. The road to the trailhead is closed until October 5 apparently - the road closes about 5 miles from the trailhead (I recommend driving the open part anyway, as it’s beautiful), so maybe you’d be able to walk if you were super keen... but I wasn’t that keen hahaha

Lots of people today on a holiday weekend. (This was Aug. 31st) Saw many deer, marmots, and chipmunks. Easy walk. Wide and flat trail. Had to Parking Lot A as Lot B was full. Work still closes the lot nearest the TH.

This is my favorite place in Washington! This area is so beautiful and I recommend it for everyone. I think everyone who lives in the PNW should go here at least once because it is so stunning.
My family and I went in the summer so we found that it was pretty crowded but not overly so that it took away from the sight-seeing. It was sunny but cold even in summer so make sure to wear layers! Also: parking can be hard to find.
The trail is easy and short so I don't even consider this a hike. It is easy enough that people don't come here for the workout; they come for the sights!

One of the prettiest beaches in the state.

Arguably the best beach in the state. I loved the rocky outcropping and the pretty cliffs and beaches.

Deservingly the #1 trail of the park. The drive up to Hurricane Ridge is gorgeous in itself but this trail takes things to a whole other level. You walk along a mountain ridge that has stunning snowcapped mountains on one side and a cloudy forest on the other. And the views just keep getting better as you climb up. The smokey clouds around you give it an otherworldly feeling.

It was a bit raining but I enjoyed my trip to Ruby beach. It wasn't too cold at all. I love the rock formations. It is simply beautiful.

Nice hike that loops around the river. Cool bridge everyone takes pictures on. Worth the hike for a nice outdoor walk.

Cool but casual hike. Nice view even when smokey.
