Quick hike to the beautiful falls. We'll maintained, a bit of incline but doable. Very open trail, only saw two couples coming out of the trail head as we were going in. No bathroom facilities, parking across from trailhead. Dirt road going to trailhead was full of pot holes. Add extra time driving there.

Beautiful waterfall, but this is not a actual trail. The falls are right off the road. Parking and bathroom facilities available.

Quiet quick.08 walk through the rustic moss filled woods. Beautiful scenery.

Awesome hike! We had a group and had kids with us. The river was beautiful. Found a little beach off the trail and cracked a cold one. The incline going up was a little hard for the little ones but there was plenty of time to take breaks. Definitely worth it and would do it again. Thumbs up! Oh! Also we did the 0.4 mile loop at the top thinking that was the hike... the trail head to the river was actually the first trail to the left behind the map board. Have fun y’all!

Not a hike, but pretty waterfall. It didn’t feel as spectacular as Marymere falls.

beautiful scenery year-round. i highly recommend a visit in mid Autumn though for the myriad of colors and depth throughout the trail.

Short and sweet hike with a stunning waterfall at the end! There was still a lot of ice which made for a beautiful picture. The water is clear and mountain blue.

I wish the trail went on past the waterfall or had some other off shoots to make the hike longer or give you some options to get off the main drag. The road out there was kind of rough.. I didn’t see this mentioned in the previous reviews, but if you aren’t driving an old beater truck out there make sure you give yourself at least 30 mins extra time to pick your way up the pothole dirt road. Overall great hike and worth doing!

Beautiful sights. There are a few trails that seemingly intersect, so starting on one may wind up on another.

such a beautiful trail, and at the end is this magnificent waterfall

Feb 2018 - Inaccessible at the moment due to flooding in November that wiped out the trail and both campsites.

Had to maneuver the washout area (will get your feet wet). Came upon a herd of elk walking up the road to the trailhead. North side of loop was closed due to a bridge washout. No warning signs at trailhead.

Gorgeous falls after a nice hike! Trail was dry today.

Easy hike to a beautiful waterfall. Family and dog loved it.

Very easy walk to see a waterfall. It is cool so you may want a jacket to keep warm. Bathrooms are available and it’s paved 90% of the way

Very easy walk around an incredible environment

How do you get to the river?

Great trial for kids. The campground is closed because of root disease, but the grounds and trails are open for day use. Parking is limited and was full by the time we left.

very short and I mean very but pretty if you are nearby.

Beautiful hike. Very accessible, easy going but nevertheless transports you to a different planet. More of a nature-walk than hike.

Pleasant walk in a lovely, lush, green forest. Definitely worth a visit, and it doesn't take very long at all.

Hiked this trail in September. The weather was perfect, and the trail was beginner level. Hiking in Olympic National Park is like hiking through a dreamland.

Super easy hike, with great spots for photography. You can stop along the way to climb trees, take a swim, and there are many great spots along the river to explore and take a picnic break! A good hike for the whole family.

Well managed trail, fairly busy, but the waterfall is spectacular.

Short walk in, but a beautiful waterfall!

There was a recent mudslide that destroyed the road to the parking lot. This did not stop most people (including ourselves) from parking near the slide area and walking to the trails. Staircase was doable as an out-and-back sort of hike, but the bridge connecting the trails to form the loop was also washed out from recent slides. There are a number of Ranger signs indicating that the trails are closed.

If you do go to Staircase, know that it is the season for mudslides and parts of the trail are closed. We still enjoyed our time and hiked the trails near Staircase and the other bridge.

Nice trail thru the rainforest with moderate inclines. all sorts of things to enjoy. this trip will get you hooked on hiking!

Easy, but lots of beautiful biodiversity.

tried to go to this one yesterday, trail was closed. There was an advisory on the website about some roads being closed due to landslides, but this wasn't one of them.

If you google — Google leads to a point up the road past the trailhead. Park and begin at the brown sign for the trailhead, earlier than google says.

Great easy beautiful hike to a large waterfall. The pics don’t do it justice. Go see for yourself!

No snow or ice on trail on 12/5, but it had clearly frosted the previous night. December is great time for photographing the magnificent moss since the trees are otherwise bare.

This was great and beautiful! Went on the Saturday after thanksgiving but only passed a few groups along the way. Saw some elk and a mouse along the way :-). The trail is wet in parts so you’ll want waterproof hiking shoes. The road up to the trailhead does have a lot of potholes so be aware when driving. We aren’t experienced hikers and got a good sweat going but we were able to do the whole hike in about 2.5 hours (trailhead to pony bridge and back)
