Super fun trail run. Big beautiful old growth trees and well groomed pathways. Perfect family or relaxing trails. Make sure to take the detour to the Crescent Lake Lodge!

love this beach, it's about a 35 minute drive from Forks. Easy to locate, grate place to walk my dog. Best during low tide when you can walk out to the tide pools and checkout the starfish and other critters in the tide pools, beautiful scenic views. (the old logs that used to make access to the beach difficult have been cut down to make a path)

We hiked in and spent the night. Two days wasn't enough though. You need at least three to fully experience this one. Especially if you're coming from Seattle and have to drive 3+ hours to get there. The forest is dense with vegetation, mushrooms, and towering trees. The river glistens with light that filters through the valley. The trail got a bit muddy are second day when the rains returned.

Not much of a hike, but amazing views! The sunsets can be amazing if it's not too overcast. Also - the stars are so bright! No light pollution.

Beautiful spot as always..no rain today like 2 yrs ago.trail wet and muddy in a cou0ke of spots not too bad..beautiful pics!

Easy, pretty well maintained hiking trail. I went with my 60+ year old parents (who are relatively healthy but certainly not big adventurers) and they were okay. Overall an enjoyable experience

Short, rigorous hike up. Worth it though as there are beautiful views at the top.

you can hike either one or both loops depending on the amount of time you have.

Beautiful sunset

This was a pretty difficult hike for me but with some amazing views.

In November, expect some icy spots on the trail so be careful not to slip. We were surprised that this year 2018 many peaks were not covered in snow. Most lakes are covered by a layer of ice, which looks pretty cool.

A link to our trip is below— enjoy!

Incredibly simple trail down to a beautiful waterfall. A bit crowded due to the ease, but would still highly recommend because the waterfall it’s an atypical one.

Did this first thing in the morning so it was very quiet and secluded. Informative signage explaining how the rain forest worked and why it was there.

Not overly impressed by this easy hike. For a “popular” trail it was pretty poorly marked and it’s really just a short loop through the forest (the 2nd half is paved). The bridge is kind of cool from my engineering standpoint, but otherwise there are much better trails that offer better views in the area so I wouldn’t really recommend this one.

Amazing scenery right around the corner from the lodge. Hiked (I guess you could call it that since it’s pretty easy relative to 2nd or 3rd beach) once in the dark of night for some astrophotography shots and then again in the morning. Even though we had hazy weather the scenery was fantastic with great reflections off the beach.

on Rialto Beach Trail

Beautiful but surprisingly more difficult than expected due to being on sand and pebbles. Crowded but understandably so due to the views and starting right on the beach.

Added on after hiking Mt Storm King and it was a pretty lackluster waterfall compared to others in the area. Trail was crowded due to being an easier hike.

This was a great hike. Well maintained. Disappointed about the fog but an added bonus to have the ability to drive to see the view! Fog burned off on the way down, so we drove over and enjoyed the scenery!

First trail I drove my Jeep up. It was easy drive and the view was amazing!

Hiked the Sand Point trail as an out and back. Wanted to do the entire loop but it was raining pretty heavily, high tide had come in and the presence of a mama bear and her cubs down the beach where we were going to go also made us reconsider. No matter. This trail is absolutely gorgeous and has everything. Majestic forests with towering trees, ferns blanketing the forest floor, ocean views. It is an extremely easy trail as it is an improved path and/or boardwalks all throughout. In the rain though, the boardwalk gets slick so use caution when walking (I even fell once walking slightly too fast). We definitely want to come back and do the Cape Alava Trail and then explore the beach at low tide. It’s kind of hard to get to as the roads are windy and there’s pretty much nothing else out that way but I recommend anyone to make the special trip.

Awesome trail. One of my favorites in Washington.. last trip we took the Sandpoint trail and then headed south along the beach towards yellow Banks and spent two nights there. When planning on hiking down the beach (past the end of sandpoint trail) be sure to check the tides, or two of the point roundabouts can be tough crossings (wet feet?)

Nice easy stroll. Beautiful scenery. We were short on time as it was getting dark but you could easily make this trail longer by following other trails or connecting.

Nice easy trail. Loved the waterfall. Seeing it up close lets your really feel the magnitude of it.

Well maintained easy trail with some steep steps nearing the top of the waterfall, signs say no dogs allowed but the ranger seemed happy to look the other way when we walked by with our dog on leash.

Backpacked out here on 10/26, hiked in on the Cape Alava trail, then South along the beach. This is much easier to do at low tide! Be aware as of that day there is a mother black bear with two cubs who doesn't seem to be terribly afraid of humans. It's a beautiful flat trail with wonderful views of rock formations and the opportunity to see Petroglyphs. I'll definitely be back.

Perfect beginners hike (I’m soooo out of shape and it was just enough to get my heart rate up), good for all age groups, GORGEOUS views and deliciously mystical in the rain. If you’re lucky (like we were) you might even see a herd of Roosevelt Elk on your drive in.

great easy hike.

Beautiful, romantic scenery. Great place to watch the sunset. Nice walk. The hike in is a bit easier and flatter than the one leading to Cape Alava but similarly constructed.

Intense elevation gain but a good length and the views are beautiful. Saw lots of dogs!
