We do this trail with our dog and granddaughter weekly!

An easy, well marked in and out in the Wood. Nothing specific about it. Can be done in mountain bike and trail running too.
FYI, the map shows a service road a bit further west of the trail.

Beautiful area to hike. Easy trail.

Super simple. Gravel path the whole way. View is alright, just of the city of Sulfur.

Quick and easy trail in the middle of town. It’s clear from the active construction throughout the trail that more improvements are on the way. Gravel/paved the whole way and it’s fairly easy with a baby stroller.

Do it. Easy and you see how beautiful the state of Oklahoma is.and You start low and wide, and get to narrow high. The trail is maintained very well and is enjoyable.

Ok trail for when you need to get in a quick hike without driving far. Glad they are expanding the parking lot. Trail is paved/gravel whole way.

It was a beautiful day. The leaves are turning and falling. The trail can be steep in parts, but it is a really fun hike up. It was a pretty busy trail that day. We took the Bison Pasture Loop after to finish.

This trail is beautiful and pleasant. There is a gorgeous waterfall or unique stone bridge every few steps! This is a trail I will revisit for years to come!

One of the longer hikes at Chickasaw. Buffalo herd was nice. Outstanding examples of CCC construction .

Buffalo Pasture trail can be done separately or can be combined with the Bromide trail. It is a gravel loop that have several viewpoints where one can hope to see the buffalo herd. You also pass a couple of the springs the area is famous for.

Hubby, kids (14 and 9) and I did this 1.3 mile trail in 30 min. Great, new-ish gravel path takes you all around the park. Tons of mosquitos though. We had to hike super fast to keep them from biting us. Par for the course I guess...it is Oklahoma! We saw lots of birds, spiders and a turtle. Love that we can pop over and get our nature fix without driving too far.

Hike was absolutely beautiful! However, be careful right now. My dog and I were within inches of being bit by a rattlesnake. Just keep your eye out!

I couldn't complete the loop because the trail was washed out. It would be nice if there were a restroom at the entrance as well. Saw some pretty sunflowers and there are some shaded parts of the trail that are nice.

The trail is beautiful however it is not marked and so when the gravel ends it can be confusing where the trail is supposed to go next. However, we used this to or advantage and just took every little turn the dogs wanted to investigate and ran with it. Ultimately we head a great time, we went right after some rain so it was muddy but who cares about a little mud?!

It was not strenuous and the view was just ok.

Great trail and on the way back we took the Bison Trail which looped us around and it was 3.8 miles, very nice hike.

Well maintained trails

The Buffalo Springs / Antelope Springs Trail is easy and I would describe it as more of a walking trail. It is a 2 mile gravel trail approximately 6 feet wide. This trail is a must for any walker or hiker because the views are stunning. I will post pictures but it is difficult to capture the beauty due to the crystal clear water. There are 3 optional trails (Prairie Loop .6 miles, Oaks Trail .5 miles, and Dry Creek Loop 1.8 miles) which can be incorporated in this hike and offer a little more challenge. The park draws a big crowd on the summer weekends, visit on a weekday if your schedule allows.

Easy trail, clearly marked, clean bathrooms, beautiful scenery

Beautiful and not too difficult.
