Love this hike!!

Fun hike today! New to the area, hiked it solo. Felt super comfortable the whole time. A lot of friendly ppl on the path too.

Great trail to take with our 7 and 4 year old.

great little easy hike along the river with great chance to see some wildlife

Awesome hike! We saw 7 deer, 2 owls, 1 turkey and 2 rattle snakes!!! We almost stepped on the first one on the trail, so watch your step and be watchful at dusk!! Beautiful, quiet, and fun hike!!!!

Well maintained trail with great views.
I wish people wouldn’t cut the switchbacks though, sad!

Nice trail with good views

great, easy access from downtown. the main trail is designed to by about 75% wheelchair accessible.

Very beautiful views around the top loop and is a decent place to stop if you have kids for lunch. I didn't see any large animals but did notice deer and bear scat. The left trail entrance has more sun exposure than the right trailhead entrance so if you are going in the heat of the day the right side would be better. It's a steady incline all the way up and steady decline down. It's safe for kids; no drop offs and my 4 year old did it with ease. There's no bathrooms but a portable restroom at trailhead.

Nice hike
Lots of bees near the water on the west side of the trail

Very fun. New sights around every corner. Great semi-private beaches to take a dip at. Love this hike.

Very pleasant morning stroll. Also in a calm safe area. No overnight camping at the trailhead however spacious.

Enjoyed the hike. A bit hazy from the smoke, but still very beautiful. Went off on the Wilson trail for a ways. Nice viewpoints from there.

I've been running this the last couple days with my dogs off leash and there is rarely anyone on it. it's kept clean and I really like it. it's nice to have a little bit of nature in the big city!

Great way to take in the lake. Our 3 year old loved it.

Excellent way to spend an afternoon. Crowded but still fun.

amazing views! took the shortcut 3/4 the way to the top and ended about 3.5 miles round trip. a little dusty on the way back and exposed, but majority of the hike is covered pines and other foliage.

Excellent trail, breathtaking views enjoyed every minute of our time here
Highly recommended

Wasn’t feeling to swell this day, so I did not make it to the top with the rest of my family. Didn’t feel like an “easy” trail either, definitely was a moderate with the huge incline.

Beautiful trail. Busy after 9:00 in the morning. Well maintained trail. Would be a nice stroll around the island for walking as well.

Went with a good friend today. It's weird I've never done the whole loop before. Lots of people, but great up and down with some climbs. Really fun.

Amazing hike to do. The views are amazing and the trail is perfectly shaded for those hot days. You could even enjoy a little picnic if you packed a snack or lunch

Great views!

great hike. lovely views from the top. our 11 year old loved it. plenty of spots to rest if needed.

I recommend starting on the right side of the main entrance to the trail, which offers the shadier portion of the loop and the best views on the way down. You’re surrounded by lush forest during the first part of the loop, and it’s very peaceful with only the humming of the bees to break the silence. As a heads up, there are a LOT of bees on this trail and unfortunately I didn’t have any bug spray either so it was a tad bothersome for me. There were quite a few moderate inclines and it was pretty much incline the whole way up. Prepare to huff and puff at a few parts, but you’ll have a great workout.

I finished the shorter loop (left at the next signage) instead of heading up towards the right towards Big Rock. Soon I was in a flattened area of forest, which was a lovely respite from my uphill workout. This part made the whole hike worth it. Amazing views of the city and the open sky. The rest of the way was downhill without any shading. This side would be more difficult to climb up on a sunny day.

Overall, I would do this again for the amazing views and maybe check to out the longer trail. Bring water and bug spray!

Great easy trail for all ages! Usually pretty crowded during the day but still a great mellow hike with amazing views of Lake CDA.

Iller Creek has become increasingly popular over the last few years and it's understandable why. In a mere five miles you'll follow a trail that begins in thick, lush forest along the creek, then opens into views and multitudes of wildflowers, then the Rocks of Sharon with views across the Palouse. Old abandoned cars appear out of nowhere (seriously though...how did they get up there?!) and as you head back down the landscape changes again to one like you'd find in a western desert with views of the Spokane Valley. Keep an eye out for wildlife. I've encountered a moose, porcupine and many different birds on the trail. Every season brings something different to the Iller Creek Trail - give it a shot in the winter with your snowshoes!

A must-do if you live in the Spokane area.

This was a great trail! My 8 year old son enjoyed it as well! Great views and a great trail!

Nice views of lake on the downhill side of the trail. Very good easy hike.

If you're in the area, this is a nice quick hike. 3 stars b/c it's not as nice as I expected (and not as hard). Easy and not moderate. The Couer d'Alene area is known for its lead poisoning and to my surprise after researching it, is one of the largest superfund sites in the country. Local health / environmental advice says to wash your footwear and clothes separately after being in the area, so just keep this in mind. Sad b/c this is due to 100 years of silver mining contamination in the area.
