Overall it is a very average trail. Takes less than an hour to complete the whole thing and the scenery is pretty subpar. It has a decent pond that has ducks to look at if you’re into animal watching. The best part of it is the Maumee river. Walking next to that and being able to check that out is the one major positive of this place, other than that it is basically a nice trail to check out if you’re looking to get out of the house and get a little bit of exercise

This trail isn't great but it's our best option in the area for preparing for future hiking trips.

The trail is overall smooth, run it many times and I have run a race on it. No hills. But you do see the whole park, and this is the best park in the area.

You may see deer and wild turkey. Most of the parks in Toledo you can hand feed the deer, out here the deer actually run away from you.

Here my problem, it's a Toledo area 5 star but compared to other places it's just ok.

I run here all the time as I live close. Great views of the maumee river as you run along the river. Also a nice little pond. Across the river you can see fort meigs.

Deer everywhere and they don't have fear of people. I have also seen wild turkeys here also but not normal.

I wouldn't call this hiking trail as local runners do workouts (intervals) on the trail.

Other side of the park has interesting canals and red trail is also good option for running.

two great falls... one clearly marked, the other is a more rustic trail. you can simply walk the stream to get to the other. wear waterproof boots!

Very fun moderate path. Struggled a bit with bad signage but had a great time.

Super easy, peaceful, and kind people everywhere. Can get very busy on nice days.

Great winter hike, a little slippery but still great! Hiked all the way to the Buttermilk Falls.

Not well marked but loved getting lost in it. The waterfalls, trails, springs... heavenly.

Perfect!

Beautiful hike, but be aware that if you start at the Cedar Falls parking lot trail head, there are a LOT of steps with varying heights, from 3" to 12". They begin and end the hike. I would rate this trail moderate based on that.

Pretty easy trail. Cool scenery. The waterfall is better than a lot of others I’ve seen in this area. Pretty muddy in November but still cool.

Fun for the kids. They really liked the trail and climbing around the water. Not too difficult for our 2 and 5 year old but fun for us all.

Beautiful trails but not marked at all, I definitely would've been lost without the all trails app. Ended up doing 5.3 miles with my pup since we got a bit turned around but it was a beautiful day and lovely scenery/waterfalls, will definitely be back :)

Very flat and hardy any rocks or roots on the trail. Very well marked with blazes, but you need to pay attention when it crosses other trails. One note, some of the photos listed are not of this trail, but other parks in Toledo area. There is a camp area on the trail that requires registration and payment ($20/$16 members in 2018) to camp overnight. Free firewood, indoor toilets, a pavilion with a fireplace (can be used unless someone else reserved it) and a dish washing station. There are a lot of boardwalks installed by local boyscouts. However, if it has rained, especially in the spring, your shoes will get very wet.

Well marked trail to two great waterfalls. We went after a heavy rain and they were flowing! Expect to get your shoes a bit wet if its been raining crossing the stream. Dog friendly and they loved it! Partially paved to Blue Hen falls which is only about .25 miles from parking.

Of all of Cuyahoga Valley, this is one of my favorites ... the blue hen falls is a 5 minute walk from the parking lot and is not difficult ; to get to buttermilk is a more strenuous hike as its more of a natural path.

We had a great time but my son had some problems on all the rocks and steps. Plus, there are no trail markers.

Great hike! Easily one of our top favorites in CVNP. A must see!!

Easy hike. The falls are really pretty. Good for all skill levels. We combined this with a number of other trails of varying difficulty today and this leg was definitely a highlight. It can get crowded starting mid morning on the weekend.

Very beautiful trails with fall lookouts
Parking $5 if you park at Corry street and absolutely no trail markers
Will be lost if trying to be Adventurous
AllTrails should help to stay on trail

Beware that this a hard trail even thought it is rated as moderate. I would say definitely go for the conditioning. The uphill section is very steep. To make this even more challenging the terrain is extremely uneven and there are loose rocks/nuts on the ground, making steep elevation changes a little tricky. The only drawback to this trail is that I found the scenery extremely monotonous. And also watch out for horse poop on the trail.

Went with my wife. It was beautiful and able to get great shots.

Fun trail! Very confusing to get to the falls but hike back was super easy! You do cross the creek and can be slippery, highly recommend waterproof hiking boots with great traction.

I enjoyed this route. we ended up hiking down the stream most of the way and made this a loop by finding a rdige trail that met up with the buckeye trail to get back to blue hen. was a lovely hike.

Easy hike! Great for an afternoon away!
