Great hike around the river.

This was a great trail ... 5 hours and done

Awesome hike with a great loop around Brandywine falls and the gorge itself.

If you get to the meadow, you’ve gotten off trail. I saw another review that said once you get to the meadow it gets confusing/is no signage. I made the same mistake while talking and hiking, just flying through.

Many good views in the fall...

This is inaccurately labeled classified as moderate. The correct label should be "Easy". Also, it is described as moderately trafficked. That too is incorrect as for it is "heavily" trafficked.

the loop around the lake is paved and very wide. unfortunately the path is shared among walkers and bikers. along the path are benches, trash cans, and water fountains. in spite of the many trash cans, it is common to see plastic bags of dog waste littered on and next to the path. What is wrong with people!?!?! That path has many curves and gentle slopes. Also, there is a fishing platform, which, also can be found littered with empty bait and food packages. This, even though there is a trash receptacle on the platform. What is wrong with people?!?!? I walk the path a lot, and fortunately not all people are direct full with there garbage. I sometimes see an older woman there picking up other people's garbage. She told me that she lives nearby and picks it up placing it in the rightful place frequently. Also, while it doesn't affect the well maintained walking path, the duckweed on the small lake is widespread. Go and enjoy this nice smooth walkway but keep your head on a swivel to avoid the fast bikers. Oh, one more thing...why do they gabby women insist on walking 3 abreast and not converge to single file when they approach walkers moving toward them? My observation is the older slim women are very respectful. It's the middle aged fat gals that insist on you yielding to them.

A nice easy paved trail, but it can be very heavily trafficked at times with lots of people to avoid if you’re running. It’s open to bikes as well, though I rarely see them.

Great trail. Short and an easy loop, but the inclines are nice and the few rock ledges are great for taking a rest and looking over the gorge. I take pups there AFTER we’ve gone for relatively long hike to cool off.

Nice view in the forest. But need better maintenance.

Great trail with stunning waterfalls, cliffs, and terrain. Nice ending in a local eatery in Yellow Springs. Great beers too. The AllTrails map follows the trails perfectly as some trails are overgrown. Made the trails easy to follow.

great trail and fun place to explore.

Beautiful trails but not marked at all, I definitely would've been lost without the all trails app. Ended up doing 5.3 miles with my pup since we got a bit turned around but it was a beautiful day and lovely scenery/waterfalls, will definitely be back :)

Surprisingly hard. I wasn’t expecting that from OH.

Great trail that changes scenery pretty often. Would recommend going counter clockwise when you get to the loop about .5 miles or so from the trailhead.

Love the scenic view, great hike/workout!

Clean, beautiful trail. Perfect in the fall.

Enjoyed Beautiful Fall Hike
Nice trails and well maintained
Neat stone crops, waterfalls and forest setting
Hiked 3.4 miles w dog and enjoyed lunch sitting by the creek
Life is Good ;-)

Only my 2nd time our backpacking after doing 20 miles of AT in the Grayson highlands/mt Rogers. Some cool rock formations. Only saw 2 people in 2 days. Very enjoyable. Didn’t find it that difficult.

This place is very secluded with no cell service and no water along the trail. This whole area was strip mined and the water is polluted with heavy metals. The trail is rugged and not recommended for beginners, especially carrying all that water!
Lots of wildlife: owls, coyotes, tons of woodpeckers and birds. Saw a large black snake on the trail too.
Campsite was fine. Didn’t see much trash but there were many loud ATV riders in the morning which was a buzz kill.

Very flat and hardy any rocks or roots on the trail. Very well marked with blazes, but you need to pay attention when it crosses other trails. One note, some of the photos listed are not of this trail, but other parks in Toledo area. There is a camp area on the trail that requires registration and payment ($20/$16 members in 2018) to camp overnight. Free firewood, indoor toilets, a pavilion with a fireplace (can be used unless someone else reserved it) and a dish washing station. There are a lot of boardwalks installed by local boyscouts. However, if it has rained, especially in the spring, your shoes will get very wet.

Had one of my best hiking experiences here. Yesterday was my first time there and I cannot wait to go back. So serene and the trails were definitely moderate which I enjoy. I only did 6 miles but it was great! I highly recommend this place for some great spiritual hiking.

Love it.

Beautiful. One of my favorites. Offers a little bit of everything. Good elevation changes, stream crossings, etc

Nice forrest surrounding. Very flat, lots of trail runners. Large parking area and restrooms. Caves currently closed for nesting bats. Great fall foliage views from overlook.

Recommend going after some rain! Falls were impressive after 3 days of rain. Large parking area and bathrooms at trail head.

Well marked trail to two great waterfalls. We went after a heavy rain and they were flowing! Expect to get your shoes a bit wet if its been raining crossing the stream. Dog friendly and they loved it! Partially paved to Blue Hen falls which is only about .25 miles from parking.

Affelder link is a must to see an awesome waterfall.

Of all of Cuyahoga Valley, this is one of my favorites ... the blue hen falls is a 5 minute walk from the parking lot and is not difficult ; to get to buttermilk is a more strenuous hike as its more of a natural path.

These falls are very cool ... from the parking lot there is multiple trails you can take, so you could hike for a couple hours or just hike the 5 minutes to the waterfalls.

Quick and easy hike with great scenery.
