Flat hike and sparsely populated
Cross Country Trail was an easy hike with smooth, wide trails. Great for dogs. One decent incline. Good mix of open and wooded areas. The Lake Trail section has some narrow bits near the stairs and gets busy on the weekends. Add on the rest of the Lake Trail (at the NE corner of the parking lot) for a short trip through a gorgeous pine forest.
Good for a quick hike.
Good views in general from the many hills, with some muddy areas along the trail paths. The views of Brandywine Falls from the boardwalk are awesome.
Would like to come back with the boys and this is the trail Kenny and family used to go on.
Lots of switchbacks and elevation to get your brain focused and heart pumping! Signs of spring all around!
Beautiful! Just a little mud today.
Great long hike.
A beautiful trail with a few good inclines. It’s starting to really green up in places. Very low traffic on a Friday. And it was easy to find and navigate. The only con was how much noise there was so close to a school (or some loud speaker) and there was some construction going on. Also heads up — fire tower is closed! Overall would definitely do again.
Had a good hike, just a lot of up and downs with a crazy energetic puppy. The bad part was it's just like the description says, Highly trafficked.. they weren't lying..very busy trail
Scenic popular trail. Great in summer time. In March it was icy
Lots of people
We followed the main trail to a side trail. Then we took a spur trail to the creek and followed that until it met up with the main trail. Highly recommend this hike!
It is a beautiful... beautiful place on the planet. That said it is a massively overused area that suffers terribly from the heavy traffic.
Rained day before, expectedly a little muddy.
Beautiful spring morning after a day of rain, some muddy portions but no issues
Nice trail. Some elevation, but nothing to really worry about.
It’s a an amazing trail with occasional ups and downs.
These falls are absolutely gorgeous, no matter what time of year you come. Expect to be hiking uphill much of the time, but it’s not terribly steep compared to some other trails in this area. It’s only crowded in the area right by the falls, even coming here on a gorgeous Saturday in early spring. Lots of beautiful views looking down over the creek and rock formations along the way!
Nice walk. Stairs were the only challenging part but they were still easy as they were short.
Definitely a challenging hike for Ohio. I took the advice in the other reivews to hike against bike traffic and it was a good tip, however that is the most strenuous part of the trail so you are starting difficult. This trailed kicked my hungover ass. Bring a lot of water. The section along the river was less exciting and more crowded, but the parts up in the higher elevation was private and quiet.
It was a nice walking trail but if you’re looking for something a bit more challenging skip this one in the park.
Good mix of Lances, Wetmore, and Tabletop. Had the trail all to ourselves.
Love the Falls! Go ahead and do Standford Trail too!
Love this trail for when I want to push myself. Sometimes all the horse traffic makes it a bit muddier than you’d expect, but it’s generally fine. Several creek crossings that have always been doable but might result in a wet foot if you’re not careful. Amazing meadow near the end if you go clockwise.
Awesome scenic trail. It will kick your butt. Bring water!
Perfect conditions!
Great trail!! Lots of elevation!
One of the most scenic trails at CVNP. It's typically crowded, but worth the time.
