Easy trail, definitely enjoyable.

Nice easy hike. Beautiful views. A bit windy and chilly.

Beautiful country side. Mostly open trails, not paved. Everyone is in a great mood, even the dogs are friendly.

Beautiful views of the bay. Not extremely crowded as most of the tourists don't make it this far from the wharf. Part of the pier is barricaded off due to the deterioration of the railing. Second half is a nice stroll on a paved path through some interesting trees.

Easy to moderate hike with great views. Various steep hill paths that can make this more challenging.

Steep incline to start for roughly a mile but evens out near the top. Beautiful view of Diablo and lots of bird sightings. Mind the cows

I wouldn't call this a trail. More like a climb on a cliff among slippery rocks. nice views but not at all a hike.

Fun, easy hike. A little bit of an incline at the end that makes it more fun! Partially paved, mostly gravel. On a hot day wear a hat!

Great trail. Couple of things to note: cows (to avoid) in parts of the trail; very strong winds sometimes in top. Not for beginners.

Beautiful trails, beautiful views, you couldn’t ask for anything more when hiking here!

Fun! User/Unmarked trails make it a harder hike.

Beautiful little hike this time of year. A little wet, but the smell is amazing, and the sounds are so soothing! The stream is running and the falls are gorgeous!

awesome trail, a little muddy but overall I would do it again

Great reward for the hike up - amazing views

Easy trail with nice views and beautiful birds ❤️ can spot dumbarton bridge and 92 freeway! It has no shade but nice ocean breeze.

Awesome hike and the views are amazing!!!

Beautiful forest and a decent climb

Beautiful views from the summit. Be careful not to take Cuesta trail cutoff and no bueno in winter. Massive mud track.

I love the meadowlark trail
Loop part of this trail for birding! Also fewer people! The bayview

What a sweet hike! Be aware that the marker where the McDonnell trail meets York is missing. We had great cell reception so we quickly figured it out.

Great way to start 2018.

12/31/17 (Sun 11:30am)
Hiked with 3 kids (2yo,4yo,6yo) - older two walked the whole way. Started to the left; lots of doable uphill. A little difficult for 2yo due to very rocky path. First half is exposed to sun - wouldn't do this hike on a hot day. 2nd half is pleasant thru eucalyptus trees. No cyclists, but lots of dogs (on and off-leash). Took about 1.5hrs (with stops for snacks). Easy and ample parking on the side of the road and in the parking lot (with bathrooms). Decent views but nothing crazy. Lots of people on the trail.

Wonderful experience. One among the easier hikes I would say, nonetheless the views are amazing. No mud when we hiked today - seeing the trail it’s very clear why people have complained so - a drizzle and it could all turn muddy in no time.

Highly recommended - if it hasn’t rained recently.
