Hiking

Part of the trail was closed. The lake was great though

More like 15 km (with endless ups and downs) & very few spots to fill up water BUT such an amazing way to view the highlights of the park! The trail markings were a bit sketchy at places and had to reroute or double back- do be extra careful at the Golden Spike / Monteiro intersection We did a slight detour to enjoy the Redwood Bowl & the Redwood Peak Trail - which is definitely not to be missed . Some of my other favourite spots were the Stream, Bridle and the Golden Spike Trail .

Running

Parking was super easy. Trail is wide and easy to follow although reception is lost in the area so make sure you download the maps and music (if you want it) ahead of time. I went early in the morning (7am) and it was chilly but nice. There isn’t a lot of coverage so I can see how this trail would get hot in the middle of the day/summer

Very peaceful, not as hard as I thought it might be... I love these type of trails- trees are amazing.

I loved this hike! I did it on a weekday afternoon, so it wasn't terribly crowded. Everyone I ran into was wearing masks, but there weren't many people on certain parts of this trail. It's a very shady hike for the most part, so I can imagine that it would be great to do during the summer.

Medium-moderate trail, good workout if u do it in the order listed in the details. Lots of friendly dogs along the way.

Very pleasant and easy if busy trail. One segment transits through a parking lot area and a trafficked road. The Lake Anza circuit was rocky and trail marking not always clear on this segment. There was a tree downed on the Selby path, with the way totally blocked the day I was there, but clearing it was underway.

my goal was to look for mushrooms (and I found them!), but I was going so slowly I cut it quite a bit shorter. As other reviewers suggested, I cut over to the French Trail from Orchard Trail and decided to cut the hike short by cutting over to the Fern Trail after that to head back to the trail head. a very nice hike, wish it was a little more wet for some more mushrooms!!

Tree was down across one section of the trail, the other was marked closed (but wasn’t)

The wildcat creek trail is muddy after a rainy night. The Nimitz is actually a hiking trail. It’s in very good condition, and the view is great!

An old favorite. Great views along the ridge and at the top. Close to home, so we have done this loop a lot, hence the three stars.

HikingGreat!

Beautiful views and trail. great work out.

great trail but would probably start at a different point next time since my preference is to do uphill first then downhill, which wasn't an option. lots of kids for about 1 mile, TONS of dogs throughout, beautiful forests and views.
