Beautiful trail with great views! The trail was well marked, we followed the map in the post and had no problems using the trail markers. There is some wildlife on the trail, we saw a coyote. Enjoy!

The trail was pretty easy to find and navigate. Our Golden puppy brought back 6 ticks!

Perfect springtime moderate level hike with a variety of terrain. There was a small creek, a little waterfall, plenty of beautiful moss covered trees, and some killer views from the top of the Jack Burgi trail (that is where you’ll find wildflowers). Every horse and dog on trail was happy and friendly. And despite being moderately trafficked, we still spotted deer tracks and bear scat!

Beautiful day with a lovely waterfall and a great view atop one of the side trails. Good incline. Was easy even with a little muddy conditions.

Really nice hike, lots of steep uphills with rewarding end at the lake- went on a Saturday in February and there was no one else at the lake when we got there. We did somehow take a wrong turn on the way back and ended up walking back to the trailhead via the road, so take care with directions.

Lots of creeks and a small waterfall. Very dog friendly. Need a day permit to park, which you can purchase onsite.

Great trail, took a picture of the map located at the trailhead, well marked easy to follow directions, shaded with big trees for majority of the hike. Muddy today but no big deal, still enjoyed this quiet hike.

Beautiful hike, great views when you get to the top - it was a clear day and we could see the Bay, bridges and city. We also saw turkey vultures, red kites, woodpeckers, and even a couple of newts in addition to the fluffy cows! A great hike, especially for spring or fall when it's not too hot.

Seriously steep incline to get up, and equally steep on the way back down. But gorgeous forest and incredible views when you get to the top!

Excellent trail. Easy parking and safe feeling. Was hoping for a view to the south to see SF on summit, but mostly valley views, arguably more pretty anyways. Shady, so really good for warm days, but can be really cold feeling on colder days (62 today but felt way cooler in woods), so wear many layers if it’s below 65.

Moderate rating is accurate - steepish sections but trails are very easy to follow and well maintained. Did it in about two hours. Lots of horse manure when we went, easy for humans to dodge, no big deal, but may become frustrating if you are navigating your four legged friends who always wanna sniff around it the whole way.

Like all hiking treks, check for ticks at the end. Noticed one heading for open skin after I got into my vehicle, caught him though, no sucking on me sucker!

Came here on the way back to SF from Santa Rosa, where I was seeing a girl I really likeee.
She made me some overnight oats and I had some Dutch Bros Coffee, thus was feeling pretty charged up to get outside - hence my decision to check this place out. Just recently bought a new pair of trail running sneakers as well, so this seemed like the perfect spot to keep breaking them in and thankfully it didn’t dissapoint. If you’re looking for an intense hike - this isn’t the place...but if you want a solid, well marked and flat 4ish mile trail that has a lot of beautiful scenery (woods, marshes (maybe its a lake?), and birds if you’re into that sort of thing) - this place hits the spot. You can easily extend to 5-6 miles as there are a couple additional paths/trails around the halfway point or you can do the back part of the loop a couple times. Regardless, super enjoyable even though there was some muddiness on the path (thank you Rain Gods). My pup Diego loved it as well, as he got to meet a lot of other cute and I’ll admit ugly dogs on the trail since it was super dog friendly. Parking is really easy as you can park next to the entrance or in the parking lot across the street. Best part is how easily accessible the trail is right off 101 at exit 463. Would def come back for another run or chiller “hike”.

Nice hike.

We really enjoyed this hike! Free parking on a dirt road right by the trail head. There are some pretty good up hills on the loop, and nice views throughout. Can do hiking shoes but would be okay with sneakers too. Dogs welcome. Recommend checking out Marin French Cheese Co for a post hike snack after, 15 min drive away.

Peaceful and lots of nature to watch.

Super easy, mostly flat, and beautiful. Great place to get out and take some pictures!

We did Pacheco Pond to Jack Burgi Trail. I have to say it’s a 5 Star all the way...... of course..... Jack Burgi is my Grandfather :)

the trail has a lot of horse poo on it. It wasn't a bad hike at all as far a physically challenging.

This trail is a little gem. Parts are open whilst others are tree covered and nicely shaded--a great respite when it's warm. There are also a number of interesting side-trails meandering through the forested area. For the majority of this hike, the trail follows a wetland, teeming with a variety of waterfowl. If you are a birder, bringing binoculars will be worth the weight and handsomely rewarded. We also encountered a deer seemingly unconcerned by our presence and several other hikers reported seeing a coyote near the trailhead. My visit was on a weekday and it was not busy by any means. I have since returned for another and longer (2.5 hours) hike. This trail can easily be done in sneakers. I brought my dog on both occasions and I am glad I brought water for both of us as significant portions of the trail are still exposed to the sun. I also brought a lunch as there are many nice shaded places to relax whilst overlooking the wetlands and mountain vistas.

This was a great trail nice elevation gain. This would be perfect for a spring or fall hike. Not much shade, but great views.
