A calming way to end a day. I did it straight from work wearing rain boots and had no issues.

Hiked it clockwise a few days ago with wife. We did it round trip, but last 1/8 mile was a scramble up a loose rock field, pulling ourselves up toward a railroad track by grabbing a rock outcropping on our right. Hike is not for the faint of heart - see link below. In hindsight, we should have hiked down to the top of the falls and returned the same way we came, which would have eliminated a long cliff hugging trail section which takes you close to the base of the falls and then back up to the parking area if you can navigate a steep scramble uphill at the end. If you look at the map provided on the Alltrails site, you will notice a gap in the “loop” - this gap is a a steep hard to ascend slope (fenced off at top) - we had to go past it to find a route to ascend to the parking lot. There was a fatality in late May 2017, due to a fall from this trail.

Awesome place to go in winter and also in spring when it is slightly less taxing. Go there enough prepared to walk in snow for good two miles if you are going in winter or early spring. The hike experience is wonderful and worth it!

This was an amazing hike. So much different from the North bend and North Cascade hikes. Now is the best time to go. It was 65 degrees and sunny. So nice to escape the Seattle rain today.

The trail was great! It was muddy like other people said but we live where we live and it didn’t hinder the hike at all. No obstacles on trail and well maintained. So glad this beauty is open! If you want the solitude then take the upper falls hike loop. I had it all to myself this morning and I started late.

Urban oasis. Expect fellow hikers, beautiful spots overlooking the river!

Great waterfall, just disappointed that the end of the trail was a gravel road, no grand view at the end.

had one section washed out and little to no trail markings. took a wrong turn and got a 6 mile hike out of it

Amazing trail and beautiful as well! Very icy so you have to be careful but definitely worth it.

My favorite how’s me to do with the kids yet. We counted 15 waterfalls. Of course we just had, had a good rain!! It was amazing!!

Not too long. Something you could do with younger kids. A little steep at parts

Nice easy hike. Great for beginners and kids.

Nice quick spot. Crowded.

Can't believe I've lived in the area so long without hitting up this trail til now! Good variety of incline and decent, but still super easy. Pet and kid friendly. Free parking by the park as long as your not parked longer than 2 hrs.

Went early on Saturday to do the loop counterclockwise. East side is dry until you get up to the cut off trail and then there's some sections of snow. Lots more snow on trail coming back the west side plus you'll have to jump the creek a couple of times.

Nice trail, well marked. Tons of bugs! Make sure to pack bug spray.

Great spot to get in the river and an overall easy hike.

Took my fat bike and dog up to the towers. Wasn’t easy but it was fun. Still a little snow in places and a little mud but no issues.

Wasn’t the best but then again I’m more into long hikes

My husband and I loved this hike. There are two waterfalls and a well maintained trail. I used my trekking poles for stability in the muddy areas and for grip on the steeper parts. I’m pretty heavy and not in great shape, so I took several quick breaks, but it was very doable and I’m looking forward to going back again soon.

Nice hike with great views and lots of picture opportunities. Lots of people there. Once finished we went to Mcuen Park which is right there. Ran into a little deer on the trail our kids loved it

I did not go down to the falls but the view up top was breathtaking. This is one of the most beautiful falls I’ve seen.

Great views. Easy trail.

Beautiful hike to enjoy with the kids and dog in tow.

A beautiful and easy hike right in the heart of CDA. I walk it several times a year. It’s very busy during the summer months, but perfect and lightly trafficked in early spring

First time I ever hiked in the snow. It was amazing! We made it all the way to the waterfall. Simply beautiful!

Absolutely beautiful, kid and dog friendly, but getting more and more crowded. Fairly annoying for the first 1/2 mike and then it’s fine.

Nice hike. Not difficult at all. Went on an overcast day. Great for beginners or an easy day out.
