A good workout. Great Lake and Mountain View’s. Younger than 70+ would probably be faster
end of april, still a lot of snow halfway up.
beautiful scenery
Great walk with beautiful views! Fairly easy both ways parking limited but worth the try, plenty of other hikes close by if you can’t get parking. Easy hike down the old railroad right of way down to the lake that had several small beach areas to relax. Hike back up hill wasn’t bad for new hikers.
Nice, big, well-maintained trail to a beautiful beach. Wasn't hard to find a spot without people, at least this time of year.
Very easy to follow trail. Decent incline on the way up. Very pretty views.
Beautiful
It’s super easy but perfect for my son who doesn’t really like to hike. You can park in several different places that don’t charge you...it’s just a little longer of a hike (3.5) The lake was still mostly frozen when we went a week and a half ago but it’s melting quickly. Bring yak traks or wear proper shoes for the snow though because there was plenty around the lake
beautiful place. still alot of crusty snow on the ground and slick patchy ice. will be back later in the year. too slippery for me this time around.
warm spring day with my poss3
Still a lot of snow getting about a mile or two to the lake. Be prepared. Also, the road has a lot more snow than the single person trail along side. Nice hike though.
Beautiful family friendly paved trail. Make sure and check out all the little beaches along the way...also family friendly trails that take you down to the rocks and beaches. Lots of great photo ops. Light traffic around 9am on a Saturday but quickly picked up.
Short easy hike to the top. Beautiful view. Trail has options to continue on up the mountain so watch the app to make sure ya don’t take the wrong turn. Moderate traffic on a Saturday around 11am.
The trail was well trafficked and nice and wide. Very well groomed. Take a left after the incline to get to monkey rock. The views are beautiful! The cafe at the bottom of the trail head is worth checking out.
Does anyone know why the parking is closed at this trailhead?
Pretty easy hike to a beautiful beach.
It was our first hike as a family. Its does get steep, but that means you're almost there. Its such an amazing view and well worth it. We hiked with our 6yo and he did just fine with all the kid energy he has. I do reccomend going early, as we did hit the hike at 1030 on a Wednesday morning, and on our way down lots of people were heading up!
Great view & easy hike. Heavily trafficked & most people weren’t wearing mask.
Gorgeous. still some snowy patches but beautiful
wide fire road, easy walk down, but a steady climb back up.
Easy walk with kids!
Beautiful and easy hike. Great view of the lake throughout the trail.
Refreshing and beautiful! Newly built , must visit!!
Beautiful country. The last 50 percent of the trail ice and slush. our kids had a lot of fun. Out of state fee is $15 for park entry.
