Such a fun hike. Definitely more than 1.2 miles from the parking lot to the top. Not too hard if you are semi in shape: make it to the top, so worth it. Amazing views!

This could become my new favorite hike.

Loved this hike. It was definitely difficult but very doable since it’s so short. The views from every spot on the trail were beautiful and the top was just stunning. Good hiking shoes are a must. We found that there was enough parking but would assume that the parking gets full quickly in better weather. I would recommend using the gps coordinates from this app to find the trailhead because putting “cathedral rock trailhead” into google maps took us to the wrong spot.

I took my mom (50y/o) on this trail because some of the reviews said it was easy-moderate. However, mom only made it about 1/2 way up the scramble before she decided not to carry on. I continued on up to the base of cathedral rock, but didnt finish the trail for fear of her trying to catch up and injure herself. I'd say it is an easy/moderate trail for experienced hikers, but for those who are not, it would be rather difficult. Be careful, and certainly wear hiking boots.

Wife and I did this hike in December. Weather was not too cold. Make sure to bring plenty water. Once you leave the parking lot you won’t see it for about 4 miles.
About half way it will get tricky where the trail is but look for a metal cage pillar with rocks in them that means you are on right path.

We drove in late in the afternoon and hiked this right before sunset on December 7th. Took about an hour and a half with us spending about a half hour at the top.

Wonderful hike up to three spring going through the forest following the Horton Creek with some mini waterfalls all along. Very beautiful scenery, very peaceful and relaxing. This hike is at a moderate level.

Favorite hike in AZ! Ends at a swimming hole with some great spots to cliff jump at. Pretty long hike but all worth it once you make it to the water. Probs too cold in late fall/winter to get in water but great for Spring/summer.

Super easy & rewarding hike!

Great views.

This is a nice moderate trail with a bit of an incline. Good for kids who are experienced hikers. Gorgeous views even at the start. We only passed 3 or 4 hikers on the way up. There have been reports of rabid foxes, but we didn't see any wildlife. The trail begins at the north end of the parking area.

Great for dogs

This trail is my favorite hike yet. The pine trees and creek are breathtaking. I highly highly recommend you make it to the top - the views are so worth it! It was very windy and chilly at the top and the trail toward the top is not marked. Allow yourself 4-5 hours.

Breath taking both figuratively and literally.

Great fun and short. Getting down was a hoot.

Nice trail easy to follow. No water fall this time:)

Gorgeous trail. Fantastic views!!

Absolutely beautiful views of the surrounding landscape. We explored the area to the left of the end of trail sign. This hike was worth the scrambling.

Loved this hike. A must at sunset.

Short but challenging technical hike with a few rock scramble areas. Views are worth the climb!

Great hike today! Relatively easy hike.

Started at the Jordan Trailhead and looped up Brins Mesa and back down Soldier Pass. Taking the Soldier Pass spur to loop back will make this a 5 mile loop with all the best views.

Great easy-moderate trail. If you want to make it to the top, watch out for a bouldering part that could be tricky!

Great time! Weather was beautiful, light traffic hike... Will definitely go back after some rain/snow melt!

My 5 and 6 year old loved it. Short, easy hike to the waterfall. It was beautiful!

One of the best!

Very crowded, but not the hike's fault. Lovely and just enough of a challenge for an early morning workout.

Very challenging rock scramble up...up..up! Loved it.

First of all, be advised that this trail is not actually within the Lost Dutchman Park. You need to thrive about a quarter mile past Lost Dutchman, turn right, and drive about half a mile down the dirt road. You will see a parking lot with signs for this and one other trail.

This trail is absolutely gorgeous! Amazing views. I would rate it on the easy side of moderate, although there are some rather steep areas.

Easy trail, beautiful scenery. There was a rabies warning sign at the start of it. Be careful right now, said to have rabid foxes that are attacking hikers.
