Fun hike and great views, Devils Bridge is a must see

hiking

Not too long and very do-able! It was quite steep and tested your nerves right near the top where the bridge is, lots of steep steps.

I went with a group of 20-32 yr olds The young adults were my children’s age so you can do the math . Thank goodness I have been training in yoga and Pilates . This hike was challenging . Uneven stepping along the entire trail with the last 30 min , a constant climb up . I feel this trail was more than just moderate . We had a blast ! My group expressed how scared they were at the end when we got back to the van . I thought everyone was cool while hiking so ,I was also . The less you know the better . . I did get a photo of me out on devils bridge . Some of our group did also but not all. But they finished the hike and were thrilled in the end . SUCCESS!!

Beautiful and serene with expansive views. Moderately difficult, but nothing the average hiker couldn’t tackle. Can get a little slippery at parts so wear proper footwear. Vey well maintained trail that doesn’t take to long to complete. Gets a little strenuous towards the midway to ending of the trail which will be marked, so watch of out the descent and accent back up as it’s not a loop trial. Overall one of the more beautiful hikes you will take in the valley.

Beautiful views at the end.. Jeep traffic the first mile was unattractive.

Beautiful views from the bridge, other than that nothing too wondrous on your way up.

Great trail. Stay off the road. Ha! My recoding was cut off. I should have downloaded the map lol

it's too busy for my taste but convenient to go too, just acrossed from Humane society. missed the cave on the way out but saw it on the way back.

beautiful trail. towards the halfway point is a steep downhill portion of the trail that you will need to hike back up. bring water and enjoy the view.

Really enjoyed this trail! Moderate elevation changes and great view from the top!

The walk back to the actual climb is long, over a mile itself. If you have a 4x4 you can drive all the way back, otherwise you’re walking the first leg. The actual climb itself is narrow and daunting in some areas but you aren’t crawling up a rock. The view at the bridge is great!

We came to devils bridge via Chuckwagon trail which is delightfully easy and beautiful. Devil's bridge was incredible and totally worth the journey to the top where everyone helps each other get that perfect pic. 16km for the total trip.

My favorite Maricopa County hike. Cool air, trees, adrenaline, and jaw-dropping vistas. If you have a fear of heights, however, or if you don’t trust your arm strength/balance, do not attempt to reach the top. As others have mentioned, the chute (the area in between the two northernmost peaks) can be quite intimidating, especially for inexperienced climbers. That being said, I’d guess it’s doable for about 90% of people who are reading this.

As a further warning, keep an eye out for the turnoff on your way down the chute. Due to the steep descent, it’s easy to keep your eyes on the ground and miss the trail. That happened to us, but as a result, we were rewarded with a truly awe-inspiring sunset. Best views in Maricopa County.

Great hike, go early to avoid the heat. Amazing views once you reach the ‘bridge’. Could be a bit challenging to climb for some

Nice hike and summit view close to Atlanta.

Completed this hike back in October and it is truly magnificent.

Good trail. Nothing difficult in regards to terrain changes. Nice view at the top. Excellent fall colors for mid November.

I had read previously about the parking and crowd. So we were the first to get there at the Long Canyon parking area just before sunrise. That turned out to be a great decision because we get to see the sunrise between the rock formations. The trail was rocky & offered much interest through a creekbed & fantastic vista points. Climbing up to the bridge and bridge itself were highlight for sure. Pay attention to where the trail intersects the wide jeep road so when you return from the bridge, you don't miss the trail. Good to have GPS and map since this was our 1st time there, and some parts on the rocky trail was not a clear trail to follow which way to go so early, without other people to follow.

Beautiful view, but no dogs allowed!!

Went there 2 days ago and loved it. We had rented a jeep, and it was worth it to drive almost 1 mile in and then hiked the rest. Came across a couple from Florida who walked the entire way, and the happily joined us in the jeep for the last park of the trail down. Lucky for them because it became very windy and dusty as we finished the trip.

Be daring and walk out on the arch (it looks worse then it is). We took pictures and had a good time with strangers we had never met.

Surpassed my expectations. The devils bridge arch is spectacular, but the hike in was much lusher and diverse than I had anticipated.

Stunning! Drive in as far as you can if you want to save some time. The walk in is what takes the most time.

This is quite fun if you like hopping from one rock to the next, but it’s not the best trail if you are just looking for an easy stroll. I liked it! A bit hard to navigate and there are several paths you can take...but it’s hard to get lost with a GPS.
