The wife and I were on vacation in blue ridge, so we decided to find a waterfall close by. Long curvy roads but a nice a waterfall.

This place was good:) although the road takes u to some private road it brings you to a right place to start after you park your POV(private owned vehicle). The place starts off with off road trail that has road closed bar/sign. The previous review is good review but its a LOOP trail! Before you start there is a board of sign, map, caution, all good trash on it

I hit the West Rim Loop today and it was amazing! The trails were well-marked and very well-maintained. Took me right at 3 hours and I was moving at a moderate pace with several stops for water breaks and picture takes! Definitely one I’d do again.

Easy hike about .5 mile to the falls but we kept going for a little ways. Easy but pretty hike very much worth it if your ever in the area.

Great little hike. Most of it is easy but about 1/4 mile is uphill. Nice camping spots along the trail!

The BMTA volunteers did an amazing job on this Re-route! So clean and beautiful! It was so nice to be the only ones there! Peaceful and serene to just sit and listen to the sound of the water, birds and leaves blowing in the slight breeze! Thank you!

The East loop is nice, and the rock quarry is a good place to rest and take a lunch.
West loop is tough, but could use a little upkeep due to some overgrowth.
Both trials are good for training for more advanced hikes.

Tough hike for me but well worth the views at the top. Will do this one again.

Trail is tough. Not super crowded. No views, but beautiful area. Summer growth is over taking trail in places.

Very poorly marked. We figured out we went the wrong way after it was too late. When you begin the trail after you park stay to the LEFT. I’m sure we will be back to hike the correct trail next time. Kind of a bummer.

Beautiful and remote. Great to bring the dogs and kids. Easy hike and great creek access!

Nice hike. We combined it with Stanley Gap. The falls are great. Be careful if at the top, a young man slipped and fell when we were there. Several people at the falls, but that should be expected, especially in the summer.

The river is fantastic. Steep climb out once you get down to the river, but well worth it.

Peaceful and enjoyable hike.

One of the most beautiful waterfalls in the state, in my opinion.

Don’t mind the signs, jump the fence and take a dip at your peril, the water is great! ;)

Beautiful, but very short

This was such a fun trail with multiple beautiful overlooks at the top. Most people turn left onto the AT when they make it to the intersection and are met with a steep incline and tons of rocks, but if you curve to the right and continue onto Byron Reese, you will have a slow and much more doable incline. We did this and thought the trail was fairly easy because of it. Wear good shoes and socks! The trail is so rocky.

This was a great family hike today. Easy to find, nice maintained trail. Beautiful view along the way. Beautiful area at lower water fall if you want to hang out for a while. It was getting busier as we were walking out around 11 am. Definitely will do again.

Recent rains have made some areas along the trail a little muddy but they have made the falls pretty fine. I've hiked this several times but the volume of water going over the falls is the best I have ever seen.
This is very good hike if you don't mind crossing the stream in the water due to the damaged bridge. That was really fun once you get in and try it.

Decent day hike - the view from the fire tower at Rabun Bald is awesome. Some decent ascents but never overly burdensome - ample water along the way too.

Summer time rains left some portions highly overgrown, it’s not a highly travelled trail (which was wonderful - as much as I love the AT it’s a busy place these days).

I can imagine the views on the way up are quite spectacular in late fall - summer time was lush and quiet.

The road in from warwoman rd had a fair bit of ruts and washout 4WD highly recommended.

Hiked a total of 3.8 miles so we went just a short way past Preacher's Rock. Not a hard hike at all and I will definitely do it again.

Good hike

I highly recommend doing this hike early in the morning because it does get busy. The bridge is broken but, if you feel comfortable doing so, the creek is pretty easy to cross and not very deep (I'm 5'1 and it came up to my knees at the deepest). You see two beautiful falls and can swim in one, blue hole falls. If you're planning on swimming, make sure it hasn't rained for a few days because the current is really strong and the fall is unswimmable if it just rained.

Have run this multiple times. Pristine views. 5 creeks and 2 waterfalls when wet. Hard run up. Fast run down! Start in the dark and hit the summit as the sun comes up!

Offers a different overlook perspective of the canyon. I especially like the large boulders overlook. The sections that are near water are beautiful. If you want to see rhododendron, this is the trail you want.

One of my favorite trials. Must be visited at least once each season.
