Great, easy hike along a creek with a Falls. Good spot to camp for a night on the Appalachian Trail from Springer Mountain.

Great somewhat easy to moderate trail with a nice incline. Be safe during wet weather as rocks are slippery.

Need to plan next time to stay here and maybe stay in one of the yurts. Only got to do the loop and one of the falls - Cherokee. So need to go back and do the other trails and falls.

Very nice views. I love water falls and this trail is amazing!

Good hike, if you start the west loop going to the left it’s a steeper climb , the right side its an gradual elevation. Regardless good either side.

Love this trail! Amazing views up top and stunning waterfalls below!

Very beautiful trail, people say it’s well trafficked but when I went one day during the week, and barely saw people out there. I went later in the day, passed by the campsite and there were people down there but I only passed 2-3 people/groups on the trail, so the seclusion made it even better.

Just like people say, it’s pretty anticlimactic if you choose not to make the little extra climb at the end to get up to see the waterfall, but you still pass by some on the way,

Breathtaking views. Easy to follow trail. Will definitely hike again. Hikes 9/18.

Awesome hike! I loved this so much. The hike up to Blood Mt. summit wasn’t too bad and the trail is well marked for the most part (although I did get turn around at some points) and the view from the top as incredible. The Freeman loop was not as fun. It is very rocky and you have to watch your footing while also watching out for spider webs. I ran into some hugggeeee spiders, which was not ideal. Good news is that if you go soon, I already cleared them out for you! Most definitely would hike again!

great hike in early spring when the flowers are blooming...great hike all around..bring a picnic lunch and have it on the flat rocks. you're welcome

Enjoyed this series of waterfalls and the deep gorge. Lots of stairs but worth the walk.

decent trail. clean. family friendly.

Nice hike! I added the waterfalls at the end of the loop. Those stairs are a workout! Definitely would return.

Did this yesterday. Beautiful day, beautiful hike. Not for amateurs. I expected the Freeman’s Loop portion to be easier than it was. Very rocky. Some people brought dogs but I think my dog (who is great on some hikes) would have struggled.

This is a great trail. We started from the Springer Mountain parking lot instead of 3 Forks because of the road conditions at 3 Forks. I would recommend going to Long Creek falls when doing this section, it's only a mile past 3 Forks and well worth it. Have fun.

Not sure where the poster was at who said Jack's River trail was closed but my wife and I just went up Labor Day weekend. No signs at Dally Gap saying it was closed we hiked in 19 river crossing before setting up camp. yes the storms have drastically altered the trail. Between river crossings 2 and 3 is the most difficult. But after that it got a little easier. I always bring my machete since trails like this change all the time. the next day we made our usual light pack to go the rest way to the falls. unfortunately the trial was too obliterated and I just didnt feel like hacking through it. hopefully they get the crew out soon to do some clean up. even with out the falls it's always great camping trip.

Great trail!

Did his about a week ago and had the best time ever! We should’ve stayed up top and just played around. The views were beautiful and the old shelter was cool (can’t wait to see what my fiend wrote on our next visit).

Beautiful Trail gradual incline well shaded. The sounds of the Creek is wonderful. Several really nice camp sites. We did our full pack shake down hike took our time. We spent an hour at the Cliff Falls had a snack filtered a liter
of water with a our Versa Flow. The round trip took 4:20 including our one hour break. Being beginners and the fact I am 54 and my wife is 53 and I am use to sitting on my brains for a living. We had a blast. Tomorrow we will try our first Backpack overnight.

Awesome trail and very crowded . So go early .

Started this trail from the Cooper's Gap side. Please be aware the Cooper's Gap dirt road that leads to Three Forks is extremely bumpy and rough. GPS and map didn't show that so it was unexpected. We were on it for 45 mins in a subaru so we felt it all and the car was struggling at a certain point. Highly encourage to either use an suv or jeep if not try to access from the other dirt road which is only about 9 miles and in better conditions. Three Forks was a well kept trail with an elevation gain of 1,173 feet up to Springer Mountain's Summit. Once you pass the Springer Mountain parking lot get ready for an uphill rocky trail hike. Overall beautiful and moderate hike. It was my first time backpacking so I struggled in the rocky section.

The trail is very beautiful, amazing mini waterfalls along the way, but the ending is not worth it, decided to climb all the way to the top but is very dangerous, be cautious and watch your step.

This was awesome. I loved that it was not paved...a real hike! you have to look down a lot because of tree roots .they are everywhere but its what makes this so great! you get a real work out. dogs are welcome and all were very well behaved. you get to walk along the water and there are several water falls along the trail....it was awesome to get to the end! beautiful place.

As of 9/2/18 the Jacks River Trail is CLOSED due to storm damage. It's an amazing trail and hopefully they will open again soon but as of now, hike at your own risk. There are a lot of rangers in the area. If you do brave it, there is some serious dead fall (full tree piles) on the river side trails you will have to forge around. It's closed for a reason, so be prepared. Beech Bottom to the falls is also closed but see my review there for more info.

Great day hike around the rim of the canyon. Easy to follow and a number of stops for incredible views of the canyon and out over Trenton. Must do in the Chattanooga area. More than easy but less than moderate. (Hiked 7/28)

Good trail. Beautiful whole way.

One of my favorite trails to hike. Pretty easy and the waterfall is beautiful. The 5 mile dirt road to it is amazing as well. Love the view!

Nice easy trail for kids. Did this with 4 kids from 2 - 8. The falls are beautiful and there are great rocks to sit and climb on which made the kids happy.
