Wow, this place is amazing. I hadn't hiked in months so this trail was a bit painful for me but also I got there at 3:30 and the trail closed at 5 bc of sunset. So I had to rush up the trail in 30 minutes. But man was it worth it. The waterfall is stunning for sure but the whole trail is beautiful up and down through valleys with creeks and little openings to see the mountain ranges. There are a few spots were at steep inclines the trains is a little eroded but nothing to hard to pass. At top the falls are breathtaking. Rocks super algi covered so watch your step. Got there right as the sun was passing over the trees before sun set. The color was incredible. Even being a 4 mile round trip it wasn't bad at all. Can be made as a family or Individual. Also the drive up to there is full of beauty. Go!

So beautiful! The beginning is definitely steep, but so worth it for the views! I did it with my 14 month old on my back and was a great workout! Would love to come back and camp here.

My happy place!

great trail to challenge your leg strengths. I am a beginner hiker and it was a bit hard. it was worth to see the view on top!

Great hike..... 1st half is pretty tough in spots, then your rewarded with GORGEous views of the Linville Gorge. Great spot for exploring and finding some excellent "off the trail" views. 2nd half up to Table Rock is much easier, and again rewarded with some 360 degree views of the whole area. My only complaint is the trails up are poorly marked. No blaze markers on trees what so ever on the trip up. Their were several spots that we had to guess which way the actual trail was. Most of it was pretty obvious, but not all of it. We enjoyed the challenge though! Highly recommend though! Will do it again for sure!

Nice hike. More private than other waterfalls in dupont. Good swimming spot as well.

Great swim spot. Love going behind the falls and sliding out on the rock.

One of the first amazing spots I went the first time I visited North Carolina. Now I live within hiking distance of all the falls in Dupont State Forest. Awesome trails for all ages and amazing waterfalls. The only downside is it does get very busy during the summer.

Good views, mediocre “hike”

Overall, great hike! I would say superior to craggy gardens because it is a bit more challenging, longer, less trafficked, and has some excellent moments of exposed rock. Follows the ridge line with a continuous rise and fall of elevation. Trail is well marked with yellow indicators. I am confused why some reviews say it “goes nowhere”. Maybe they didn’t hike far enough?

This is a great hike with an excellent reward at the top. Moderate, quick hike for such a beautiful view. We went counter-clockwise which was probably a little tougher with steeper climbs but that’s the way we like it.

This trail is one of my favorite trails in N.C. It has beautiful water features in the first section of the trail and stunning views from the top but do not expect this hike to be easy because it is a burner, especially towards the top. I have two dogs that I’m glad stayed at home for this one since it is, in some sections, very technical as there are ladders and exposed rock faces where a slip or loss of balance could result in injury to you or your dogs. Also, I would caution anyone who is hiking this in winter weather to be prepared with the right equipment.
I hiked to Calloway Peak and then went over to Raven Rocks before heading back down. Spend some time at the top because the views are awesome. All in all I hiked a little over 10 miles in about 5.5 hours according to the AllTrails app.

Beautiful waterfalls and scenery along hike. Ok view at top.

Lightly traveled earlier in the day.

this is a fun trail with some good uphill. there are always a lot of people as it is close to Winston Salem.

The trail is decent. there are always many people on this trail as this is the most popular trail in this SP. the view from the top is nice.

the view from the summit is great. the trail has many switchbacks and is not hard at all if you hike moderately.

Do the hike several times a month.
Great hike, magnificent view from the rock face.
One of my favorite hikes.

Great trail! The view was amazing and it was a nice place to sit and eat lunch. Make sure you have a map or GPS and be prepared to walk through some water!

trail running

Just completed a trail run here for the first time and will definitely be back. Even on a cloudy/rainy day the views were incredible. Plus it links up with the Mountains to Sea trail so you can go as long or short as you like.

The first mile is the most difficult - rocky elevation gain - but then you get to traipse along the ridge line for a while and it’s a breeze.

This was a quick trail. Definitely easy to moderate. Some areas may be slippery when wet. Also, we took two wrong turns. There were no trail markers.

Great hike! Good trail running parts of it as well, especially on the descent. The view was beautiful, but wish there was a bit more to it. Recommend, though!

I love this hike. very scenic And moderate hiking conditions.

One of my favorite hikes of all time, hands down!

Great views. Relatively easy trail.

Was apprehensive but the most fun and rewRding trail. Beautiful views. Very technical. Must be comfortable with heights and climbing ladders

Awesome. Start at wolf pit go as far as you like. Great sunset

We did Triple Falls, High Falls and Hooker Falls in that order. 3.5 miles.

Easy to access off Parkway, and heading northeast, a gentle up and down traverse along the ridge through several hemlock groves, forest, a clearing with wildflowers, and a rocky outcrop with views of the Black Mtn. Range. Great!
