Did this hike last summer. Excellent hike! The parking lot was packed with cars when we arrived, but only saw 2 other groups of people during the hike to Granite Lake. Passed some beautiful meadows along the way. Took two dogs with us and had a lot of fun.

Not much hiking but plenty of relaxing. Good vibes (and not many people on a sunny November day). Will be back in the summer to swim.

Amazing hike super short but beautiful and historic!

Great views of the Mt. Easy going trail, mostly flat. Not sure where 6.5 miles came from, we showed 8.24 miles. The lake is really low this time of year.

Enjoyed this trail yesterday, 11/11/18. Completed lower to upper falls. Easy hike. Weather was chilly but no freezes or snow yet. Falls were still abundant.

I enjoyed so much the view of Mt. Shasta. I would have enjoyed more with less people walking their dogs. Besides Mt. Shasta view and the bridge, nothing the trail is not really impressive.

This was a little tricky to find, but we managed just fine. The ruins are cool, and the falls are great. The actual falls were beautiful and the hike itself was not too bad. I did have my 8 and 9 year old kids with me, and found the trail down to the falls a little narrow. I will be returning to scramble along the creek on the boulders some more; there are so many exploration opportunities.

Two creeks come together and fall into the same pool. Then fall again the same distance. Not as close as I would like. Park closed the way down to get closer.

WOW, WOW WOW!!! Short but sweet.

AMAZING views!!Short trip makes you work a little though with the uphill

A pretty trail throughout, definitely worthwhile. The first mile or two drive in on Swift Creek Road was paved, the last 3 or 4 miles to the trail head was gravel, some pot holes, not too bad but can't go more than 20 mph. From the turnoff from Hwy 3, the drive is about 30 minutes to the trail head parking, which has spots for maybe 15 cars and an overflow parking very close by that can fit another 30 cars. We went at the end of October, and the temperature was perfect, 50-70 degF between 11am-5:30pm, which is how long it took us, including an hour-long break. Didn't really encounter mosquitoes, there were a few but didn't bother us much, more bees, but not a lot to be bothersome either. Overall very pleasant condition. Fall colors were pretty. We saw a total of 3 other people the entire time even though there were about a total of 7-8 cars at the trail head.

Beautiful fall colors, amazing views. Easy flat hike around 7 miles. But...we lost the trail several times, especially at the boat dock. We had to go into the camp ground and ask around. It took 4 people before we found anyone that knew where the trail was.

Great short walk to get down to the falls. Little hidden gem tucked away in the middle of Northern California forest. Very shaded beautiful little swimming area in the creek below the falls before it journeys on down to the Pit River arm of Shasta Lake.
Off the beaten path to get to trail head, but worth the drive if you want to pack a lunch and enjoy a quiet scenic drive to a secluded little trail to Potem Falls.

Cool hike. Pretty easy.

Loved it!!!

My dog loved this walk around the lake!

easy trails beautiful fall

Went in September 2018. Lots of honeybees- better than mosquitoes I guess. Used it as a base camp and hiked to 4 lakes loop. Not an easy feat even without all of our gear. The trouts were very small in lake, but I believe it had just been stocked in August.

Burney Falls is amazing, the trails around it decent. There is a parking lot on Lake Road which is a five minute walk up a paved slope, so the falls are easily accessible, though there are a few stairs. We parked at the parking lot off of Clark Creek Road which gave us a ten minute hike through some of the surrounding forest before reaching the lake road parking lot and down to the base of the falls. The hiking around the surrounding area is decent- but you’re really here for the falls. Since it is on the more accessible end of Oregon waterfalls, expect to see a lot of people.

Reflection Lake gets its name for a reason! Stunning view - easy hike/stroll.

Nice trail

Great acclimation hike mostly in shade with great views of Mt. Shasta.

Must see trail for NorCal.

Very easy hike to a swimming hole and beautiful waterfalls. Seems secluded which was great because of less folks. You have to drive a dirt road going here so be careful.

Great trail, well marked. The falls are wonderful.

Beautiful hike with an amazing private campsite for us and our dogs. Pretty awesome

Beautiful trail from lower to upper falls. Most of the trail is fairly easy, hardest part is from middle falls to upper falls, fairly step switchbacks. Not overly difficult but be prepared with water and a hat during the warmer summer months. All in all though the views are pretty and the trails are mostly flat and easy to walk.

Great trail!

The falls are very pretty. Nice reward for the short hike. The hike itself is not the prettiest but not a bad little walk.
