Great views for a short hike.

Short, easy walk on paved path to Profile Lake. Great views and a really nice monument paying tribute to the “Old Man” and where he resided.

Fall is always the best time to visit. Hoping to someday travel on the motorcycle. Lots and Lots of views and scenic lookouts. Pack a lunch and pick a nice quiet spot to enjoy the views and mountain air.

Great family hike

Took Tuckermans via lions head up and down. Awesome hike, more like a climb- especially the last mile.

Beautiful 50+ degree day. Trail was slushy and hard packed snow. Pretty slippery but totally worth it.

Good little hike to get the kids out on for the first time this season. Little slippy at the start with slushy wet snow and ice. The middle was dry. Water was flowing good and there was TONS of people.

Beautiful to view in the winter with frozen and running falls. Some icy areas, wear proper footwear to make it easier. Loved the winter beauty!

Incredible day on Saturday for a hike. The view from the top was crystal clear and the trail was packed and a bit slushy. Would highly recommend doing this before all the snow melts over the next week or so. Great little hike. Didn't use spikes or snow shoes.

First time hiking Mt Moosilauke. Phenomenal hike. Still a lot of snow along the trail on 4/22, but well packed down. Icy at the top and so beautiful. Used crampons + trekking poles and was fine. Be aware that the gate to access the lodge is closed (at least it was when we hiked), so expect to add at least 30 min to 45 min to your total trek time.

For a short distance to the top of this 4k you will be packing a punch, it is quite steep, but the path is well-marked, no issues with that! Need microspikes, the snow was melting in a lot of areas though so it was REALLY slippery, I gotta say this mountain surprised me with how hard that last part was, it just keeps going up and up and with melted snow well..... I was extra slow! View at top was amazing and worth it and the decent was a breeze!

nice trail, great views, lake is frozen
steep hike at two spots

We hiked up the piper trail today, took the pup with us as well. Great trail although there was a good amount of snow/ice still. We didn’t have spikes but still managed to summit. The top was pretty icey though. Spectacular views up top of Mt Washington and the surrounding White Mountains. With the snow and ice it took us about 4hrs round trip.

Amazing hike to hojo’s. Steady climb the entire 2.4 miles. Great views.

I've hiked this a few times and it is easily a favorite of mine. I had the pleasure of actually getting the summit all to myself one evening I hiked it solo after work. I would not say it's to difficult even with the rock scrambles because as long as you pace yourself both going up and down and are careful of your footing it's a enjoyable hike.
I've done it top to bottom in 3 hours solo but it can also be more of a leisurely hike with a group around 4--4.5 hours total.

Great for kids! Brought the dog too on a leash. Can’t wait to come back this summer to swim.

hadn't done yet. looking forward to the climb in late May. wish me luck I don't get eaten by lion, tiger and bears.... oh my.

Trail was hard packed snow all the way to the summit, but it turned the rocky trail into a sidewalk so that was welcomed. In snowy/winter conditions, microspikes are needed to scramble on the ice-wrapped summit rocks. Slope is kind and gradual, aside from some large steps at the summit. Great one!

It's a nice trail, but don't do that, do the whole loop on the franconia ridge, it's definitely worth the few extra miles! You are already up there, so why skip the best part?

We did this back in late September. Nice and easy trail, this was to complement our day on the franconia ridge. It's a nice stroll by the lake, but not spectacular.

Nice loop, great views.

Very well-marked and beautiful trail. Challenging at some points. Amazing views!! Unfortunately I couldn't quite make it all the way to the firehouse- had a scary ice wall that I just couldn't cross. So close!! Will definitely go back to make it all the way to the top.

Not a lot of effort for a big reward of a hike. Great waterfall and flume views. Good amount of hard packed snow on the trail. Cramp ons definitely helped but saw other hikers wearing sneakers. Didn’t pass too many people but I’m sure it’s crawling with people in the warmer months.

Great day to climb North moat today. Weather was warm but needed spikes or snow shoes to get through ice and snow. Beautiful view from the top. Worth to effort. Can't wait to try it again this summer.

one of my new favorites! this view is probably one of the best for the shorter moderate hikes in the area. my phone clocked in 3 miles for the whole loop. we went up counter and hiked back down clockwise. it is doable for even a beginner in my opinion as it only gets steep for a short time right before you reach the summit. hiking up was a little muddy but hiking down there were lots of icy spots - was thankful I packed crampons because I needed them - very slippery. can’t wait to hike this in the warmer weather! great trail for dogs - our pup loved it. would highly recommend this trail! A+

Not quite sure why they classify this trail as moderate... it was very icy and when you come down the first summit if you don’t have traction get your butt to the ground and start aiming for grabs!!! Lol it was fun but I wasn’t expecting it to have a certain degree of difficulty... I went with my water bottle, and my car keys... thought I was going for a little stroll... not quite a stroll... but breath taking views for sure!!! I recommend it just remember to take your time! I just started this whole hiking game I can think of at least a few things I could’ve done to better prepare myself
