If you don't get there early like at 6 am sharp. Don't. I repeat DON'T GET THE ADVENTURE PASS. I bought that shit, I mean it's 5 bucks but still, and I still ended up getting a ticket since the damn permitted parking area is small as hell and others park on the side of the road. Everyone got a damn ticket even those with the adventure pass like myself. if you do get a ticket you're looking at maybe 63 dollars or so. anyways hike is really amazing. stay on the path bring a good amount of food and water and make frequent stops if needed. we made it to the bridge. Bungee jumping is $120! other than that the water was cold and overall a lot of paths too take but it was beautiful! Also, careful with the rocks and the water the rocks are very smooth and if you have wet shoes you can slip and hurt yourself so treat carefully.

Did the hike on 4/17/21. Arrived at 8:45am to the trailhead and parking was full but I had zero problems driving out just a mile down and parking on the side like everyone else. Decent amount of people but everyone was friendly and respectful of distancing.

Plenty of parking for a Friday 830am with AdventurePass. first visit here, so followed some hikers part way, the rest I figured out following the red arrows. Stream crossed several times just walked through the river. (saw a deer before arriving at parking lot too). Close to a 3 hour hike to the bridge. beautiful scenery and Swan Rock looks majestic. Return hike was quicker, saw a Rattlesnake on the trail. Stay alert!

The Trail Is So Awesome. When Vulcan Opened Its Gates To Be Crossed It Became A Very Easy Trail To Hike But Also Very Crowded . I Used To Circle Around The Rock Quarry Via A side Trail But There’s A Ranch There That Cut Off That Trail But I Remember Seeing A Trail Coming From The West At The Top Of The Hill So I Do Wonder If It Can Be Accessed Through That Trail. For Some Reason They’ve Shut The Vulcan Access Down For The Past 4 Years. Supposedly Due To Fires But I Don’t Believe That. I Plan On Finding That West Trail Access n See What’s Really Going On . Oh By The Way Side Note for Those Of You Who Have Never Hiked This Trail There Is An Abandoned Camping Village Midway Only The Foundations Stand . The Water Fall Is A 100 Foot 3 Teir

This hike is absolutely incredible, but it’s only enjoyable if you come prepared! Pack more food and water than you think you need because it’s a long one. Also, try to take the upper pathway that leads to the top of the bridge instead of going through the swimming holes unless you’re okay getting with wet to your waist. If in doubt follow those red arrows spray painted on the rocks- they kept us on track. Ignore those no trespassing signs- I’m pretty sure they are BS. I’m so glad I crossed this off my bucket list because it was 100% worth it. Start early and go on a weekday if possible!

warm weather with a cool breeze through the canyon. there were a couple of crossings where your shoes stayed dry. trekking poles help keep your balance with the crossings. water level not very high.

Just amazing There are NO SNEAKS There is no way you don't get wet, get mentally ready to walk 10 miles with wet shoes/socks. took us 3hrs to go up because we stop for a lot of pics, one hour to come down. Bring water snacks and hat/cap we got there 7am perfect time on Sunday. No mask drama. lot of families but not crowded at all... 10 stars.

If you are looking for a pristine quiet wilderness experience this hike is NOT for you. I arrived at the parking area at 8AM Sunday morning and the parking lot was full, had to park one mile away from the start of the hike. Lots of trash and graffiti on a very crowded trail. Lots of people hiking with boom boxes playing loud rap music. The hike goes up a beautiful canyon and I strongly recommend that you DO NOT do it on a weekend. Bring either water shoes for the stream crossings or be prepared to hike in wet shoes

We arrived around 7:30 and had to park about a mile down the road...I would arrive earlier than we did. I recommend hiking poles or finding a good stick if you don’t want to just walk in the water. We were able to cross the river multiple times without getting our feet very wet.
