I do like this hike but would rather do echo.

Great hike, just to much people.

Great beginner hike if you're getting into hiking.

Awesome hike. Well marked unless you're myself on the way down. Definitely for more experienced hikers or more driven people in general. Beautiful views of wildlife and the city.

Challenging trail. I loved it.

New hiker, with a healthy respect for heights! Lots of scrambling over rocks and steep ascents / descents. Gets very busy, but definitely worth the trip to the top - wonderful views.

Really cool view of all the city lights at night. There are lots of people in the evening still but make sure you bring a flashlight!

More scrambling over boulders than walking on a trail but worth it for the views. Fairly busy on a Saturday but everyone was nice and helpful. I’m a newbie hiker and this was a challenge but very fun.

Really enjoyed this hike/rock scramble. Was a little more challenging than I was expecting but still worth it once you get to the top. Was there for sunrise and the parking lot was already packed. Bring lots of water it gets hot fast this time of year.

Good hike with lots of nature to take in. Beautiful views at the top! As a visitor to Arizona, I found this to be a perfect hiking trail! Went early in the morning to beat the heat and got to take in a sunrise at the top.

Many argue this side of Camelback is harder. I’m not sure it is. Just different. Midway there is a portion that you have to hold on to the rails, then it’s not hard at all. The other side is easier midway but a little bit more on the edge at the very end.
They are both a really good workout and they are both a pain to park. If you are not there by 6AM, you need to Uber. Views are amazing.

This is not hiking; this is rock climbing! That being said, it was a lot of fun. This trail is not for the faint of heart. Not much parking, and the great city of Paradise Valley does not allow street parking.

Silly Mtn is just across Hwy 60 from our RV Resort and every time we pass the parking lot we see many cars parked there. Finally my hiking group walked over from Canyon Vistas RV Resort and hiked the loop you see here, plus every "cross path" for a total of about 6 miles. The group marked it Easy to Moderate but there wasn't much in the easy category... but the scenery was a big surprise and I'm glad I did it!!!!!!!

Love this hike... pushes you! In training for R2R next month! great workout!

I made it half way up on my first try and they aren't joking when they say Steep and Bring Gallons of water but the view even from halfway up is stunning

This hike is super well marked and highly trafficked. I tried getting to the top twice but the part where you essentially have to rock-climb freaked me out a little so I turned around. If you have anxiety / fear of heights the ascent to the top may not be your jam - but you can always turn around before that (there’s a helicopter landing area which makes a nice turnaround) while still getting the amazing views.

It’s a great hike, you really do get a full work out. When I first read the comments and the level of difficulty, I was skeptical but man was I wrong! It’s hard and not for beginners. Make sure to bring plenty of water and good shoes. The view is extremely rewarding. People here are super nice, this guy greeted me with cheers as I reached the top and others motivate you as you hike up. There’s a lot of stairs and I mean a lot but you can do it!!

This is great hike if you’re into a bit of a challenge; hence the word “challenge.” Don’t try this if you’re new to hiking. I know this is a popular tourist destination but if if you’re not in good physical shape and acclimated to triple digit weather(summer) outdoor activities, I don’t recommend it. Echo Canyon is the hardest of the two trails on this mountain. The summit is the same no matter which you choose. Please be hydrated!!!!

Decent views. Easy to access. A bit too close to the highway for my liking.

We only did part of the trail, wanted to see the sunset! I would like to come back to visit and walk the trail!

Excellent hike. Completed in July when it was 100F. Take lots of water. Go early. Bring climbing gloves, will make easier. Talk less walk more. Save your breath while going up.

I have to agree with some other posts. The hike is a great workout, I wouldn’t rate this difficult by any means unless you do it in the middle of summer. I did it for more of a workout and it’s great for that. But if you’re looking for scenery I’d go somewhere else. The top was full of people that drove up. Seemed like a bunch of local kids in the hut and they were smoking and cussing. Unfortunately my hike was ruined due my experience at the top, and not to mention when I came back down my window had been smashed in the parking lot. I won’t be returning to this hike.

It is a nice hike it keeps you working until the end as it is steep all the way up. You can view the entire valley from the top. Be prepared for crowds and minimal parking spots.

A tuff hike, make sure you are mentally and physically prepared for it.

Great work out. Amazing environment! Friendly fellow hikers!

Not for the faint hearted... the mountain teaches me something every time ... the view at the top is like no other in Arizona

Super hard, but is well worth it!!!
