Nice stroll through the woods. Not a lot of signs of spring yet.

Really enjoyed this trail! There's a few roots to be careful of but overall nice trail with some undulation. With it being a battlefield, I was expecting it to open up in a wide field but it was mostly through the woods over beautiful terrain. The interpretive signs were really well done!

Nice hike. Several ups and downs, but nothing strenuous. Benches along the way to stop and take a rest if needed. wooden foot bridges across all water crossings. easy access to the falls. 2-3 places to access creeks or river to give doggos a little sip. very light traffic today between 10am and 12pm.

HikingFeeGreat!

Easy trail for active people. The waterfall has more power to it than I would have thought. It is more like a big rapid on a whitewater river than a waterfall. The trail was nice with several signs giving the history behind the battle. There are several benches along the way. The only slight negative is the trail parallels a road at one point. so you get the car noise.

Easy, relaxing trail. A little muddy in places but not bad. Nice pool at the bottom of the falls for kiddies to play in.

It was fairly muddy from the recent rain. It can be a bit of a challenge if you aren’t used to steps but all in all, it wasn’t bad at all. We enjoyed ourselves and the history.

Via ferrata

When it comes to historical trail giving the history of battles of the American revolution, I like this trail better than Gettysburg. Not overcrowded not in the middle of a bustling city and it doesn’t much better job of telling the tail oh that small moment in war better than the national Park. Spoiler alert if you see everything in black-and-white you may be a little bit shocked by the information given on some of the signs. The signage will necessarily succinct does it incredible job of encapsulating the moment and telling the whole story. I recommend this trail for anyone with children in school or just plain water buffs.

The trail was well kept and downed trees were cleared away. Great signage to follow that crescendos to the battle site. Lots of roots so hiking shoes are suggested. A beautiful gem of a trail and the falls were the perfect start to the hike.

Trail was a bit muddy from recent rains but was an enjoyable mix of rocks, roots, and Revolutionary War history! The trailhead is across the street from the parking lot.
