Hiking

Not particularly hard but not easy either - lots of cardio especially on the way in.

Beautiful multi use grassy forest trail. After heavy rains the night before, trail was very wet, much of it going through marshy wetlands and crossing streams. Wear water proof boots and prepare to get your feet wet.

Great trail! Definitely a workout, it’s all up hill and some rock piles to climb, but the view is totally worth it. Bring a lot of water! Make sure to park in designated areas. It can get crowded and the rangers will give you a ticket if you are not correctly parked. We got there at 10 am on a Monday and plenty of parking. By the time we got down the mountain Parking was flooded with cars

Definitely a workout of a trail due to the consistent incline but definitely do-able. It does take some time of consistent uphill to get to the first look out. Going back down was a bit slippery.

I LOVED this hike. It had everything! The first mile or so is flat, then a slight descent to the valley and across a few foot bridges over the river. Then you are on a cardio journey straight up that mountain to Table Summit. Stop and take in the view before the summit on the right! It’s beautiful. Table is flat and easy for awhile after the summit as you cross the top, then down into the col which is magical. You’re uphill again for a little before you reach Peekamoose. Another beautiful view!

Please bring a mask while hiking! It's difficult to pass others at 6ft apart on the trails. Trying to get back to work this fall in a school building and we have to keep our numbers low in NYS!

Top hike, the views at the top are worth the relatively hard upwards battle. The first few miles felt like they wouldn’t end, then it opened up a little in my view. Recommend

good hike! definitely a good challenge with lots of steep inclines (and somehow the way down always seems tough too!) the viewpoints are small but really beautiful. recommend if you’re looking for a good sweat and tiring hike. better 360 views elsewhere but this one was a good one to check off our list.

Nice long hike, 10.6 miles out and back. Definitely a good workout, start early to avoid the heat. Steep incline at parts, small lookouts, but a nice change of pace. Not heavily trafficked, some parts were complete silence. Great moss and foliage the whole trail. Bugs weren’t too bad.

Fairly difficult trail worth the view from Peekamoose. This is sheerly due to the fact that it is an almost constant uphill for approx 5 miles. Table mountain doesn’t have a view. There is a nice resting spot with a view along the way when approaching from table. Respect the trail and hike safely

Hard but great hike. We didn’t make it to the peekamoose, but really enjoyed the challenging climb and especially the way down

I found this hike to be grueling (it kicked my butt tbh), yet *very* beautiful. The views were awesome, of course (particularly from Peekamoose), but there were long stretches of woodland that were nothing short of incredible. Especially the dense pine forests at the upper elevations. Slow down in those sections and really try to soak it in. Pretty buggy right now, so make sure to load up on DEET. Many a small insect met their demise in my nostrils today.

Great hike if you’re looking for a challenge and want to log some miles. Not much of a lookout for Table Mountain (views are great but lookout is only big enough for 2 people) and the Peekamoose lookout is also quite small. Beautiful views nonetheless and a beautiful hike overall. Also, AllTrails didn’t log the entire hike for some reason. It took us 5.5 hours including breaks.

Enjoyed this hike. There are a couple of nice spots at the top to rest/ eat/ read. Not as many people making it up to the summit, but there were a lot of people around on other trails for a Thursday.
